Personally came to know 30-50 yrs old fangirls.
Many of them doesn't look at the idol sexually. So when they kiss the photo it's like they kiss their cross.
I think... Especially older people they not in the age to see the idol sexually. They just want to find peace and happiness in this crazy world.

The novel is really complicated drama. Like, it truly feel like they are living breathing gray human. Some dark sht happened. I don't expect much from the drama Especially when I feel like the book is really really good and solid on their own.
But if it come out light-heart style that would be kinda disappointed.

He is supposed to have issues identifying himself, like most of the characters in the show. Try to be normal and do the right thing when you feel insecure af. He was holding himself back throughout the series. So I thought he was doing okay.

He does have range in acting in different types of roles. He's been boys next door, aggressive type, a typical ML with some moral conflict, and a low-functioning autistic boy.

Not saying he's really good with all of them cause yeah I understand ppl have different standards, but he's doing alright so far.
My point is this role doesn't seem to be as hard as other roles.
So I think it's the director's choice.

In the book it's more dead. It just show that they are at war.
YH book dead are depressing af too. He didn't died right after he slowly dies for months but still go to war.and never stop till his last day.
with the male doctor characters (you might her befor but cheng characters got merch with ml docter friend for the show) try his hardest to save him but could never cure him.

If anything he go out like a true hero.

They change the ending. It's not like the novel.
They change a lot of things too 1 of the major thing is she really died and her soul went to a younger girl body.

For the ending
If I remember correctly; There are more game of thrones drama between grown up princes, the king is dumb that's the whole reason why the sml teacher got so much power in the first place. The king give up all the govern to him.( Can't decide if the book or better or not. It's kinda messy and all over the place)
Then because the infighting between princes. Fml&ml pick a different prince from Sml. They fight. And sml kinda give up after realized his prince is a lost cause who do things similar to the show's teacher.
Then confidant got kill off. At that point he kinda lost hope of the world and basically He went far away on his own.


after the infighting There are 2 country that join tgt to attack. Which they have to go separate way to fight. The whole thing is pretty emotional really. We got a whole feeling they are really prepared to died. The brothers go visit their home before battle. More war strategies, More depressing war stories. More heroic deads

the brothers are pretty badass they each got stories and unique charms. The show cut some off(understandable budget cut) change personality and nerf them a lot. It is my fav part to read and the downside thing about the show.
In the book she build relationships with them stay in their room longer. It took longer for ml to know she a girl which kinda stupid but it give room for her to interact more with the brothers.

he didn't care about women like the show . His mother got preg unmarried got disown then trick into prostitution. She became unstable and abuse him a lot he grow up in that kind of place. When his father come and get him they off the mother. He use women to get what he want for sure. He totally used Fml to get under ML skin. He even burn that sugar right after get back. Like he try to cut off his feelings.
He is more complex but overall but I find his scheme less intelligence than the show. Which is why I have high hope he could do more too.
Like not breakdown. But plan a calculating plan to kill off ML while acting like a white lotus. More mind game like when he fool his teacher😂

The first 10 ep is fast af it feel more like a movie that you need to pick up every lit detail. I'm not even sure if some details are in my head because I read the book. Get it if you don't enjoy it but here som explaination. Hope I'm not bothering you tho

Then got rewards for it. The king seem to give him face too (out of guilt I guess). the show didn't show him kill ppl but mentions he kill instead of arrested before and the king give no shit about it.
