I kinda like how the writer didn't shy away from showing us real devoted fans behaviors(not all like this but a lot are). Leave some room for us to analyze or criticize them. I know a few and yes they did kiss photos, yes they cry when their idol got gf/bf, yes some of them are working age or older. Sometime they could be toxic to the point of anti fan or sasaeng. The obsessiveness is basically why I left fandoms. But I do remember the good ones too. The supportive and positive one that sometimes look at the idol as potential romantic partner. Not a perfectly white/black community. Looking back most of them, like fml must feel lost at some point and the fandoms give them hope or purpose.
