-And it's also my interpretation that she only started to act nicer the SML because she realizes this is the step brother of the man she has feelings for.
Come to know that he got a strain relationship with his mother. She hopes that both mother and son could have better relationship.
Being cold towards his mother's stepson (who's she cares about) isn't a good start.
If she didn't meet the mother right before she might never take his lunch box.

She is one of the most calm and mature FM I've seen. Lol

I don't feel like they got the connection scenes like other drama. This is very surface like co worker stuff.
And the majority of it FML can see it clearly what he's doing.
Using her to bother his brother. That's very unattractive.
They only open up briefly when she give him bandage.

Fml chase after him and act like she doesn't care if he leave but when he leave, she can't help looking for hope.
ML can't help himself and give her hope but still dead set on never get tgt with her.

Look,they told you since Ep 1 what kind of person she is.
She got this boyfriend who keep "disappear" thru out their relationship. And she then act like she doesn't care but got deep root fear he never love her
Then chasing after him when she think he would really leave. If he come back that day I know she would take him back.
She only stop when she was sure he really not coming back.

But our ML didn't rejected her completely like her ex.

While ML outwardly rejected her but been giving her HOPE thru out the whole series. He also got issues.
He fear of falling in love and can't let go of the feeling even when everyone fall out of love.
Just like his first love. His parents.

He described being in love for him feel like being in a horror movie.

Now he like her already and can't help being kind to her but he dead set to never get with her because he doesn't want to be in another horror movie.

Okay there a lot of things I enjoy in the drama.
but all the things you said is valid too. Lol
The hong sister always do this. But because they always got the beginning right and there usually a lot more going on ppl look pass it. While I always drop and come back like a year later.

This time it a little bit worst because they don't have to save the world plot in between so people notice it more.

I just don't take it that serious tho. It's like a running joke to me.

And the characters kinda need it (just shorter would be nice)

Her falling in love with ML is also because his kind actions, him stepping up to protect her even when they first met,keep checking on her when no one did not even her ex who claims to feel sympathy for her(we later know his kid is sick but still her manager and ML is the only ppl who cares)

Oh and another funny thing I think while watching the drama is how *relieved* I was when Do Ra Mi appears.
I was thinking "Thanks heaven it wasn't another serial killer".

Like...no hate but a lot of time I feel like Korean don't know how to make characters fall in love "interesting" unless there are murder&evil murderous ghost lurking around.
And sometimes the serial killer& evil being isn't even need or the impact the theme.

But Do Ra Mi is different. She literary the reason of the title. They could have execute some aspect better but over the idea and how it turns out is great.

Ah this is one of the point I like in this drama. Most of the time we will see people got "cured" from their insecurities.
But this one she accepted it and ask him to accept it too.
Actually they both fear the same thing. He also afraid she might fall out of love
just like y'know his first love his parents.
So "breaking up" it's like them making peace with it facing the uncertainties of life

In previous ep they talked about Pretty Women and the Opera song.

The song is from the play La Traviata. A story about a women who deems unworthy (FML) to a high society man (ML) but La Traviata in end in tragedy.
They talked about why use the song when the ending is different. The meaning of the song is also very contrast too. It's like a break up song.
And said maybe they, Pretty Women's leads, might broke up after the movie end.

But at the end of the drama they use that song again to emphasize their state of mind that they making peace with their fear. And willing to make sacrifice(try their best) for their love too.

In 12eps they really did well developed both lead characters. There are flaws but the ride still fun.
-The psychology part is a surprising but cool.
-The production is fire.
-The writing is not at their A game but some details is nice. They really try to tell a beautiful love story even if it's struggle to come together in the later part. I can still see the work they put in.

Ppl said the tone shift after 6 ep. Yeah maybe, but I still find comedy bits to laugh at in every eps.
and how the idiots trying to fall OUT of love is a good running joke. They both such a lost puppies.

They should go into the psychology part more considering its literally the reason of the title. They fumbling hard on this.

Also they should have make the push and pull more comedy. Because some of them is kinda stupid but from the characters perspective I totally understand why it happened.
I feel like people taking this part very seriously that's why it "boring".
I legit laugh at these scenes sometimes. The writers like to make them so complicated.
But I was like poor thing you idiots moment for me.


Is it dragging? Yeah. Like most of the hong sister dramas. They drag this very part out. Not surprised. But it's not the worst thing that ruin the whole drama.

The ending feel half baked but I see the intention they are going for. It's a good drama.

He got fear about love and commitment too.
He the type of person who got deep feeling.(Idk the word in English) Like it's hard for him to let go of feelings.
He met this girl on a trip one day and held on to her for years
But she move on to another person.

He try to move on but he can't. For years.
He compare this experience to being in a horror movie that the zombies keep coming after him and he can't shake them off.
He afraid to fall and got left behind to pick up the pieces.
He knows that he can't move on as easy as other people around him so he just afraid. It doesn't help that she also quick to change her mind.
There will also his parent too which will be reveal later on
