The King can rule the affairs of the Kingdom, he can lead the navy to war, he can ride horses, he is a Maths genius, he can cook like a chef, he can deduct his uncle is hidding secrets, he can make people commit suicide, he can order the execution of unarmed people, he can slay people with his sword with no mercy when they only have batons, someone gets shot for him and he gives him a Mclaren 720S worth 300 000 USD of course he is generous, he is the only one who understands the situation between the two worlds, the time stopping, he also visited the frontier between these worlds so he will be able to travel back in time, and apparently he can also shoot bad guys like John Wick does and save himself... Truth is his character is allmighty and has no failure and this is what makes him so not endearing.

There is no complexity in his character and his romance with Tae Eul is so artificial. The guy fell in love with a picture and then chased her until her world and made her his gf and queen to be because he is the King. And she fell in love with him because he took her to ride on a white horse and saved her when she was lost and in danger. What a romance. It is not even a matter of international audience or not. It is either good or bad and most comments say the romance is bad: No emotional developments. Fast forced connection and kiss between the two. That first kiss scene after that "dialogue"... lol. OK, let's wait and see how the big finale unfolds. Maybe this drama can still save itself with the 3 last episodes.

- The King is too perfect and never challenged nor put in danger. Can't have sympathy for him as we never fear for him.
- Tael Eul is a slacking cop. She is also a damzel in distress
- Jo Young is an accessory. There is no development of character for him.
- Eun Sub is a comic relief only. Waste of talent and character.
- PM : She is divorced? and now she is exposed and evil? Because she was rejected?
- Lee Lim is the vilain but he appears so rarely. He is like a caricature of vilain.
- Plenty of characters who raise questions but they are not answered. The pregnant woman, the yoyo kid, Young counterpart of the king who disappeared, his mother who was abducted, the mothers of Shin Jae, the Psy of Shin Jae, Court Lady Noh, Luna...
- The scar on these people. The King said they are people who killed their counterpart? He did not kill his. Why this appear when it rains?
- What's with time stop?
- Shin Jae is the only complex and character. The secret around him makes him more interesting than the King.

The writer tried to sell a romance which comes from nowhere with little chemistry between the 2 lovers. The moments they kissed or said "I love you" were just terribly cringeworthy. The writer tries to make the plot look complex and smart by leaving elements along the way in different worlds and at different moments of time. The viewers will supposedly be amazed by how they finally interconnect but it makes the story messy, erractic and confusing.

The big question is just: 13eps now. Was it entertaining so far? Would people rewatch these 13 eps just for the pleasure of crying, cheering and laughing again? For me the only entertaining things were Eun sub and the charge of the KOC mounted police. There are only 3 episodes left and they need to wrap this up and explain everything. Good luck to them. I will watch it to the end just because I want to know the story of Shin Jae and Luna and how it ends for them.

Sorry but so far this drama is bad.

I liked that anime without the need to rewatch it ;-) I agree sometimes rewatching it will help you notice details which improve your understanding of it. Anyway, you rewatch it because you liked it at first. In the case of TKEM, it is so messy and erratic I believe people hardly try to understand it. They just want to know if it ends well or not. As for me, nice ending or bad ending I already know I will not rewatch this.

If people need to rewatch it to understand it it means it was badly written.

I also wish her climb levels and have a bright career.

Thanks for your feedback. I guess everyone has his own opinion depending on how we enjoy the performance. True I am not convinced at all by her acting skills. But that's only my opinion and everyone is entitled to his own. I can only hope she have good career and portray a wide range of characters and I will adhere to them.

Maybe you are right. Maybe I had too many expectations from this drama and from her and I am quite disappointed so far. I wish her to meet success with this drama anyway.

I am not specialist enough to judge their professionnal skills and I will even less be a judge of beauty. I am just saying I find her range of expressions and body gestures quite limited. Her acting does not make me feel close to her, have sympathy for her and worry for her character. I don't know many chinese drama or actresses but if we have to compare to the drama airing now I would say Zhao Lusi in The Romance of Tiger and Rose is better and different form her character in Love of thousand years. Even a newbie like Zhang Ruo Nan is better in a silly drama like Love is all. She has expressions and ways to behave very new compared to Everyone wants to meet you for example. I am not trying to say Yukee Chen is bad. I was just saying I am surprised she has so many leading roles when for me her acting skills obviously have areas of improvement.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I won't comment on that. I know there are worse actresses and actors surely in an industry crowded with candidates but I keep thinking she has limited skills for a lead actress. I did not mind in Princess Weiyoung. I was even impressed but I guess her abilities were perfect to portray a tomboyish princess. I really disliked her acting in The Love last two minds. She and the main actors both had a wooden face and I could not have sympathy for them. I finally dropped the drama. Here, she is no better. These first episodes she is reciting her text with the only two expressions she can have. I find her range of expressions and body gestures limited and not good enough to create emotions for me. But I understand others might find she is good enough for them. Luckily the main lead is better. He can have the impassive stoic face but he can also smile and make jokes. Still I gave up also because the story is so usual. Sects fighting for a scroll and fighting techniques to dominate the world... I wish her the best anyway and a success with this drama.

Ondramanice / Dramacool have the eps until ep10 but they are RAW. I don't know any other place which provides eps with eng sub...

I don't understand how Yukee Chen became so successful. She can't act to save her own life.

In China many women above 30 are seen as leftover. They can't find a partner so easily especially if they are successful so these women they are not afraid to go find younger men. I guess the Chinese dramas also want to reflect this social issue. This is Why Zhou Fang's mother wants her to marry asap so she does not become a leftover.
In this case I don't think the guy look so young compared to Qin Qing. They still look good together.

The main female lead looks like she is a relative of the Addams family but OK I have high hopes for this.

I don't think it is Luna. Luna was in the Republic of Korea already spying Tae Eul and her father. How could she awake back in the Kingdom of Corea behaving like she doesn't know what she is doing there? She would not need this chase and shooting with Lee Lim's henchmen if she only wanted to be rescued by the King.

Ep 8 and nothing is really happening. I like the second couple better.

The trailer was terrible but so far it's pretty good. It is cute, fun , heaetwarming and kind of friends family oriented with some schemes. Dilraba is a lot better than in Sweet Dreams. I did not know that guy Johnny Huang but he looks a good actor. Not only the handsome guy. I guess things will turn darker soon but so far it is entertaining.
