I just finished and I agree - I am completely unraveled right now. One of the saddest dramas I have ever watched and the emotional carnage I am suffering is unbelievable. It is going to take a while to reconcile my feelings and come back to reality -- this was only a story but a moving one that I did not expect to end this way. Definitely needs a higher rating.

Gosh! I watched this 8 months ago and truly can't remember all the details of the drama but I understand the "why" the writer chose the scenario of sex worker . The writer causes the viewer to gain more sympathy for the character. But in my heart, I would have preferred something else for a profession. I have no prejudice against anyone that makes a living by "any means necessary" to survive.

I just finished a true e-sports gaming drama -Falling Into Your Smile. Really good . YAMG uses e-sports minimally as a backdrop to create a relationship but it s not a gaming drama in my opinion. More of a relationship drama and this is like a hobby. We are truly separated by distance - but I love the fact we are joined in similar interest. Are there any Indonesian dramas I can watch you can recommend. I love history, action, romance and about everything except fluffy school dramas. Will definitely check them out if I can find.

A newbie -- wow!! I have been watching Asian dramas since 2014 (retired) and totally addicted. So many to the point most of them have merged into my brain and I have no memory unless I see a familiar scene on rewatch. I kept a journal before I joined MDL and I'm glad I did. Just enjoy them one at a time is my motto but I trust the comments and reviews of MDL folks because they are usually dead on point and it will save you lots of disappointments in the future. We are in different time zones ----Eastern Standard for Me. (Florida)

I gave the ML character a pass because he was defined as having no childhood and immature. when his step aunt said he finally reached puberty and he was a grown man I felt the writer wanted to give him excuses for his "abnormal and hot tempered" behaviors. But after 3 years you are right -he could have developed a little more than just an obssesive and possessive male figure. Are you watching You Are My Glory? It started slow but it has a nice pace.

Did not seek out origin of story - original or book. However, screen adaptations often feel like several people have input into the final product for the perception of commercial success. Thanks.

I'm a sucker for "innocent love" but adult enough to be believable. A unique story initially but it falls into the same valley of disappointment when the watcher keeps asking the situational
" Why question" for many decisions. The writer failed to answer many questions of viewers near the end while dragging the plot along making us wonder whether the ML was a "cringy stalker". You will enjoy it and the way you write - it will be a pleasure to read your article.

A great weekend binge drama. Sometimes the devil is in the details and many comments are picking at minor detail flaws. But overall this drama started strongly and ended strongly with only a few miscues in writing in the middle. Highly recommend. The music and music the music are sufficient to give this higher rating

You are so on point with your blog on this drama and critique. I usually have a rule to binge watch only K dramas because of the systematic failure to write a satisfying drama after good starts. Since Chinese dramas are my preference right now I will follow your guidance and mentally delete the PPL before rating. I always hate the "redemption" of bad characters of stories in the end - and to be honest I hated her final choice of soulmate but the writers had to have a unique finish. Just finished "Crush" and have taken your advice in rating.

The acting was strong but I now know (thanks to you) why C dramas are beginning to become draggy near the end and disappointing to viewers after enjoying the beginning The complexity and intrigue that induced the viewer to watch as soon as translated was rewarded with a feeling of an incomplete drama with fillers. No matter how good a drama starts out - if it fades in the end - I feel cheated by the writers. I watch Victoria Song in many dramas because she is so good at portraying even the toughest character. You are so on point. The emotional struggles of HJJ are complimented by the romantic struggles of the remaining trio. The writer did not let us down one moment describing the upheavals and challenges and their loyalty to the point that the underlying connection continues and the survivors intend to find out the cause of the death of their best friend. Still waiting for them to discover she was fired unjustly.

I will try to be accurate but more astute watchers can correct me if I get this question wrong. LR wasn't dating HJJ. He was being a parasite since he knew she had a school girl crush on him. After he broke up with QXC and had financial issues he found that he could "use" his girlfriend's friend behind her back and get financial support while he was abroad luring HJJ to send money to him as well as getting her to take his parents out touring --she was basically "wining and dining". I hope this explains my view of the situation. HJJ was a vunerable person (meds) and she hid all of this from everyone.

Up to 8 episodes and this drama still is beyond amazing. This writer is thorough and meticulous in interweaving storylines so that all characters have meaningful stories for every viewer. I will say this again. I don't fast forward, change viewing speed nor allow distractions when I watch this drama. I just wish the English translations were more fluid but I will endure through what appears to be auto translate
