Hahaha... tyvm for the tip - I actually started DD last night but a friend stopped by so I only caught the first 10 minutes. I dropped MRIAD because I disliked the girl and the too many too short mystery episodes got annoying. I agree Psych Hunter has the same vibe which makes me worried... They spent so much time on Zhao but for all intents and purposes the decisive battles that weakened Zhao were fought by his predecessors. And I recall Chu put up a good fight with some brilliant military strategies as well but there doesn't seem to be enough time left to properly explore that.

I was so sad the way the dealt with Li Mu - I really respected him for so successfully routing the Qin army they had to resort to Guo Kai level heinous tactics to bring him down. That said, I am glad I didn't see the cooking - it would have definitely given me a stomach ache during x-mas dinner!

I also think it was kind of ridiculous how Dun Ruo managed to flit in and out of Handan and indeed high minister residences so easily during a siege. Obviously they didn't run a tight ship bc spies like that should just be rounded up and cooked ASAP in order to effectively break off all diplomatic relations.

Actually the way the Europeans did it was more cruel because they only use 4 horses or drawn and quartered. It takes much longer. The fifth which is the head pretty much ends things the moment the neck is snapped or the the person is strangled. Nonetheless as per @Wanderer its not a great thing to think about over x-mas!
