Idk why either but it is interesting that Li Shimin, Wei Zheng and Du Ruhui all had disappointing heirs. Maybe they spent too much time on matters of state and border wars. Maybe it is bad karma from executing all of his brother's sons.

I think they must have known each other, they worked in HK for rival newspapers. I imagine its like the c-dramas today - you see one drama about weaving and suddenly another 3 pop up. I would say though as far as parodies go, it would still be a fail IMHO.

They were debating the merits of the proposed alliance with Mobei and the risks that Mobei is insincere and only seeking this alliance because they are pushed to the wall. Both Changge and Sun said simultaneously that even then, it is worth it.

I think it is quite likely they know and they also know that Ashile Sun is "dead" so they deem him no threat. They didn't show up at her mother's memorial by accident, Wei Zheng brought new identity documents for Changge with him. Wow her mother's story is so sad.

Oh its episode 40 I am watching it now - there is a lot of skipped parts in that trailer. I think that he may know who Sun is - Wei Shuyu already made his report to someone - it was the first thing he did when he got back to the capital? Wei Zheng is there too and I assume his son either reported to him or to the emperor or both and they are talking about her Mobei mission so I think they must know. Unless Wei Shuyu kept the part about Sun being Ashile Sun secret.
