Up to ep 16, I think of all the villains, Xi Fangtao is the one that I am watching the most closely. Maybe its the acting but I just can't take cartoonish villains like Liu Yan and Ms Hong that seriously. And Gui Mudan just popped up I need to see a bit more of him to make up my mind. Well his character here is a lot more toned down than TTJ. But yeah I like LYX a lot I think he is a fantastic actor but all of his roles have the same look and feel. I like her a lot better here than in A Dream of Splendor. The one I find kind of low-key irritating is the harpy in red - all her scenes are so dramatic and so over the same I just feel like its groundhog day.

She is a pathetic and annoying one note character but when watching dramas, its useful to have bathroom breaks, snack breaks, wine breaks, etc etc etc... I just pop off the sofa and wander around my apartment the moment she enters the scene.
