While this is a fictional dynasty, it looks like it was inspired by the conflict between Liao dynasty (Jinxiu) and Song dynasty (Susha). During that period, Song dynasty was actually weaker military wise than the Liaos, who were Khitans. You can see that in XJS's styling and his slightly curly hair - he is not of ethnic Han descent. The emperor should be quite dependent on the noble families for his power and should have a wife from each noble family. So he can't very easily just set aside the Zhuang daughter even though he may suspect her of poisoning his empress.

I only hope she survives bc I can imagine Suige will blame himself if anything happens to her. Although she is stupid over XJS's pretty face, you could say so once was FYX. Maybe all she really needs is someone to cosh her on her head into memory loss.

I have no doubt Love in the Clouds is more popular - HMH is an idol actor with tons of traffic. Super nice guy very easy on the eyes but I am sorry to say his acting is vacuous. Yummy3 is a comedy with good scriptwriters but I think half the time their humor will be lost in translation so I doubt it will be as popular with international audiences. Wang Yinglu is really good and she is on a roll I'd much rather watch her if I were choosing just based on the cast alone.

That's what I thought initially. But if she is suspicious she shouldn't reveal herself so obviously - ie the masked man is less obvious if it weren't for the spoilers you wouldn't know from his acting. So either way, its just really bad acting.

XJS is definitely a good 8-10 years older than FYX. He was a grown man when he "rescued" her when she (and the other two) were early to mid-teens kids. They were still portrayed by kiddy actors. I am going to guess he is probably older than Suige.

Only if she doesn’t get in somewhere good in the US - she is already on the US Sept to May school year. Oz and UK Jan -Dec school year wastes lots of time she will have 7 months of doing nothing between graduating from high school and starting college.
