I think MY is definitely a villain but I suspect he is just a cog in the wheel and not the final villain. I think that is either still Xia Jingshi or the Dowager Empress Jing in Jinxiu. It could also be that the main villains in both states are the Empresses.

1.) I think he let them go because the plot needs to move to Jinxiu and that can only happen if they return together. But I do think they should have left it at Suige finds out too late to stop them. I noticed this issue on my desktop at work and asked iqiyi IR about it when I saw them. For my setup, Filmmaker/Cinema mode for picture and Cinema mode for sound works best. You may have to play around with yours to see what’s optimal. Hope it works out.

Don’t really know but I would guess that the captains are shown the original or a drawing before being posted where they are. I don’t think they are that easy to copy without access to the original materials and and a forge. Forges were tightly controlled by the govt. But some dramas have shown counterfeit tokens so not impossible but probably not easy to do either.
