Great short show. I wish they would make more like this. Ending explained in spoiler....
The main couple get married (again) and return to take back the throne (that the villain gets in return for the antidote to cure the general). The villain thinks he is the late king's son. In fact, the bracelet he thinks is proof of that, is far from the only one, since the late king gave these to numerous orphans, including the general (now the queen's husband and thereby king). He goes kind of insane when he realizes he isn’t a prince. The show ends on a cliffhanger with a report coming in, just as the queen and king take their seat on the throne. So, the story ends but opens for season 2.
I haven't seen all episodes yet but until now there are pretty good subs here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkPF0QZ-i8Y&list=PLTB73Ibi_X3FCRJHJeuGLGetG1VmLTLWW&index=1
Denmark. I just checked and it's still working here.
I interpret it as FL continuing - and re-entering - the novel (since she is the author) because she misses him too and still hasn’t officially solved her parent’s case. I used Pleco in an attempt to translate the words on the building (last scene) and as far as I can tell, it’s an official building like a magistrate or other law-enforcement building. I might be wrong but my drawing skills are lacking, LOL. But I agree that it isn’t clear. Perhaps others have another idea of how to understand the last scene or actually know what is written there.
