I'm very curious how the drama is going to approach the contents of the novel from this point on. Episode 1 of season 2 covered chapters 29 to 32 from the novel, and didn't leave anything out. From this point in the novel, things start getting very spicey. My suspicion is that the more spicey subplots will just be removed or replaced - but we will see. I did notice that in episode 1, Nueng was biting Anueng on the chin when they were kissing, so I'm curious if that will be mentioned again, or was it just a quiet nod to the original novel. EDIT: After watching episode 2, I see they made a lot of changes from the book. I really liked the changes they made.
I did struggle to watch this toward the end, until a dear friend imparted her wisdom unto me: "This is a series…
I agree. The secret to enjoying dramas in general is to understand what "lens" you need to have on while watching it. Don't expect it to be something it isn't trying to be. It's unfair to compare a bowl of ice cream with sprinkles on top with a steak dinner from a top restaurant. Having said that, 23.5 did have some obvious flaws, but overall I found it to be an enjoyable watch.
Can someone who's read the novel tell me is it better than the drama? Does the novel contain plots that have been removed from the drama? Is the book more mature than the drama, or is it just as light and fluffy? I'm just trying to decide if I should buy it or not.
I'm so glad that I stopped reading novel at the same point as the end of SS1. I'm 1000% enjoying SS2πI wasn't…
After the series ends, make sure you read the second half of the book. It's pretty spicey, and contains a sub-plot that I'm certain they won't include in the drama.
I've finished updating the English Subs for episode 7. The link is in my profile if you are interested. The update contains: * Fixed a few spelling mistakes. * Fixed some grammatical errors. * Optimised subtitle timings. * Changed the tense of some sentences for improved clarity. * Fixed obvious translation errors. (Anueng and Yui are DATING, not talking). * Split long subtitles to improve readability. * Simplified complex sentences to improve readability. * Other edits to improve readability OR increase impact of the narrative.
and I just have to say again.. Faye is hot as hell πββοΈπββοΈππΌ π«ΆπΌ
Have you seen the video of Faye when she won Miss Grand Thailand (2016). Even among that stage of beauty queens, she was the standout. But as well as being hot, she's a really good actor as well. She's owning the role as Nueng.
But how Sam suddenly spawned out of nowhere when Chet was being homophobic? π€π€£
Sam was with Nueng looking at spaces to rent for Nueng's art gallery when Nueng got the call from Chet to come and meet Anueng's new girlfriend. The book makes it clearer - Nueng asked Sam to go with her, which Sam agreed to do.
NineStarStudios have actually used a human to translate the English subtitles for season 2, rather than a machine. The result is the English subs are MUCH better than they were in season 1. However, they still contains a few spelling and grammatical errors, and some of the timing could be improved. So, I'm still going to produce my own version of the subs, which should be completed within 48 hours. I'll post a message here when they're done. Links to all my re-subbed files are available in my Profile.
I mean no one pointed out the fact that outing people is wrong but at least she apologized for other things??…
I personally would have preferred Mawin's crush to not have even been included in the drama, and that time given to Aylin and Luna. I'm fine with the Charoen and Ton side plot because I liked how the arrogant Ton was rejected hard by Charoen.
The first episode was great, the next some good and then it went downhill so fast. Aylin and Luna could have saved…
I agree that they tried to squeeze in too many side couples. I too would have liked to have seen more of Aylin and Luna. But I don't share your opinion that the series "went downhill so fast" after the first episode.
Sun is super irritating. She has known all along that Ongsa is insecure, shy and an introvert. She had no right…
Sun made a mistake, but I think you're being too harsh. Making mistakes is something teenagers do β¦ and it doesn't turn them into bad people. Having said that, Sun was more immature with the breakup than I would have liked, but in real life, immature people do immature things. But Sun did eventually recognise her mistake and apologise.
EDIT: After watching episode 2, I see they made a lot of changes from the book. I really liked the changes they made.
