I personally am njoying it..my advice is Watch the 1st 4 episodes and decide for yourself...most cdramas take 4 episodes to set the plot and if it doesnt match your expectations make a decision after that
Aside from the awesome acting of Xu Kai portraying Mei Zhu Yu, I feel like he was under utilised in the drama.…
Totally underutilised...not just Xu Kai even others I feel..Changxi palace scenes could've been more..even A'Shu though he got lot of screen time the charaacter wasn't writte well and his ending made it even more annoying..except TXW others didnt really get well fleshed out characters

I think she can use MZY s weapon because her demon core was from former cat lord demon is MZY s father , so probably the weapon recognises genetics and not necessarily the actual actual owner. She had both the Cat lord demon's core and the fractured evil demon's core so once the evil core is removed I guess she becomes full cat demon as she only has cat demon core. And I am guessing MZY learnt the technique of transferring the evil demons core on to one's body and after coming out of the time travel machine he takes the evil core from present WZ to himself (or one big plot hole). ML was also like FL with both cat demon and evil core within him but added advantage of cultivator energy so though wounded (just like FL) he comes back after 3months and the attack awakens his demon side All the abive is my hypothesis and understanding from what I watched)
Moonlit Reunion had very well thougt out set designs, detailed world creations and costumes...each costume seems well thought out..even the lightings used to set the tone for each scene made sense..
They simply wasted scenes on Xuan Hui's death...his death doesnt serve any purpose..even MZY's mother scene ,though emotional doesn't serve any purpose...Instead of killing A'Shu could have given him a redemption arc, his death was too anti climatic...
I don't think ML trusts the FL yet..he has his doubts from the time the SML told fithy things to him, he was quite possessive in his actions...also after he got Changxi palace guy to repair the array he wanted to test if she was a demon or not, and only stopped more out of fear rather than trust...in ML's character so far I could see attraction and need to protect her , trust not yet
Shaung Jiang and Mei Si are much better characters..though they may not b powerful enough, they are sensible and can differentiate right from wrong..sometimes I feel simple ones are much better than grandiose ones
