Till ep 6 GJ portrayed the suppressed and inner conflict of SMY..and from ep 6 onwards SMY's resolve and starting of his plan in action with shift to show the passion and resolve has been done eloquently and coherently with the script.. Also CHS as SCH is superbly bringing this character to life... Though fiction these actors portrayal is transpoting me into their world..hope the plot and acting continues to stay as good
Am I the only one who's struggling to see Gong Jun as Su Mu Yu? Not referring to the acting, I'm only two episodes…
1st 2 episodes is still setting the stage..his characters actual thoughts and inner conflict starts getting revealed as story progresses...so far happy with Gong Juns portrayal of Su Mu Yu (I haven't read the novel or watched TBOY, DY...opinions may vary if someone has watched the prev dramas or read the novel)
So the story still has some explanations left like why does FSG blame/hate XJS ...what role did Jinxu exactly play in the empress being called a spy...what was the Prime Minister's full scheme..and what is up with the Jinxu Emperor , just a playboy with learned helplessness or someone more intelligent?? XJS's full scheme with all the death warriors..and where did Murong Yao get his trained assassins from....and what is this Storm Alliance? Either the ending is going to be Epic Finish or be an Epic Disaster.. Really hoping for the former and hope they'll tie it all together and end well..Fingers crossed
On a side note..they sure have taken a lot of creative liberty with the whole injuries, bringing back to life and the medical aspects of this drama
The Journey of Legend... Cheng Yi as Li Chen Zhou & Ding Xiao Ying as Zhao Rong had superb chemistry especially their death scene was so heartfelt...want to see a spin-off of their story ❤️

In the story so far I don't feel anyone is Emperor material except FYX ...FSG is decisive but he hasn't built his political network of ministers, he has spent his time in battlefield and still needs some development as far as court politics is concerned...the 2nd brother is still immature...FYX has shown both determination and restrain , kindness and ruthlessness when needed.(my POV from the story shown till ep 24)
Xia Jing Yan is supposed to be a frivoulous emperor and is always in only one costume...wish the directors and costume deigners had given this chracter more change of costumes

By ep12 she remembers most of the important things. The amnesia doesn't change her personality like other dramas…
Her following that lady blindly without precaution was unintelligent...and entering without caution or not smelling the muscle weaking odour in todays episode went against her usual cautious personality shown in previous episodes.. And in recent episodes she is still lacking her determined, capable aura...(honestly the actress has done a great job in portraying the skilled yet confused amnestic general)...i want that back and to see the ML and FL move forward as partners in full capability
I feel like I must be the only person in the comments thread thinking what a beautiful ending it was to a beautiful…
It is not about HE/SE/OE...problem here is a arushed ending leaving lots of loopholes and weakening the storyline. How was Crazy Yan so easily fooled/controlled by Kaiyan when the guy can say someone's name and that's powerful enough. And if all they had to do was get the Hero's token to General Wu to make him stay at the border..all Crazy Yan had to do was tell XQS and they both could have made the trip and no need for Gen Wu leaving the Immortal Pass.. It felt like they changed scriptwriter midway...the direction felt completely off.. Introduction of that epsionage guy didnt really add anything to the plot...the political angel completely underdeveloped..like why did LCZ leave the palace and how did current emperor get the throne...why do LCZ and QXS look alike... Strting till last few episodes had a coherent plot and moving amazingly well but last ones were huge let down
