I feel like I must be the only person in the comments thread thinking what a beautiful ending it was to a beautiful…
It is not about HE/SE/OE...problem here is a arushed ending leaving lots of loopholes and weakening the storyline. How was Crazy Yan so easily fooled/controlled by Kaiyan when the guy can say someone's name and that's powerful enough. And if all they had to do was get the Hero's token to General Wu to make him stay at the border..all Crazy Yan had to do was tell XQS and they both could have made the trip and no need for Gen Wu leaving the Immortal Pass.. It felt like they changed scriptwriter midway...the direction felt completely off.. Introduction of that epsionage guy didnt really add anything to the plot...the political angel completely underdeveloped..like why did LCZ leave the palace and how did current emperor get the throne...why do LCZ and QXS look alike... Strting till last few episodes had a coherent plot and moving amazingly well but last ones were huge let down
I just saw douban ratings out, it is only 5.9 , oh why π₯²π₯²
1. Haters..people here also have been rating this drama 1 or 2 2. Rushed ending which weakened the whole story and left lots of loose ends. 3. XQS becoming powerful because of all masters tramsmitting energy and they didn't show how he actually integrated it and built his brotherhood sect making his achievements look hollow
So LSF turned out to be a chracter like Snape. Why is everyone dying in weird positions? Martial arts sequences is THE BEST. A lot of missed opportunities in term of scriptwriting. Kaiyan seems to have gotten off easy, he got too many chances. They could have explored the political angle lot more in the drama and shown the complex relation between the princes. That angel is heavily unexplored. And though the last battle was good in acting and direction, but once the head is killed the opposite army is usually given a chance to surrender, the battle seemed too much "hero worship" than heroic. I wish we get a spin-off of LCZ and Shirong..they were awesome harmonious couple. The ending scene where LCZ comes to rescue Shirong was raw and 1st time LCZ showed anger and deep emotions. Felt like the story ended with their death. Cheng Yi s acting at XXY s death was brilliant π Though XQS's character is portrayed as the hero , LCZ's character stole my heart with his Aura and Quiet Presence and felt like the real hero. β€οΈ
When XQS tries to change the story sytem give him missions without which the original storyline can't be changed. Did the Lin (reset) guy also get missions to be able to alter the plot?
I feel bad for Yiren's character after today's episodes....he is eldest, brought up with rigid rules, everyone's expectations and always having to toe the line...and had to suddenly deal with massacre of his family, his happy-go-lucky younger brother's sudden rise to unparalleled fame and all the time being egged on by 2nd brother...too much in short span of time and worse that he doesn't have any sort of cheat codes while XQS and XKY both have an idea of the world and possible future occurences
Wow.EPISODE 27 is ULTIMATEπβ¨οΈπ...XQS vs LCZ (Cheng Yi vs Cheng Yi)..EPIC π₯ π₯ π₯ I love how Cheng Yi portryed XQS young, full of raw emotions and power and LCZ older, experienced, calm,a little weary yet dangerous...the contrast is so obvious and beautifully portrayed without exaggerated theatrics...the fight was EPIC π₯π₯π₯ Also its cool how Cheng Yi portrayed LCZ'sdangerous aura with just a poker face and a Smile, not a scowl or eyebrows drawn together or straightened , but with a Smile...Hats-off..Super-cool stuff

I hope LCZ doesn't die..though he has less screen time, his presence and impact has been enormous
