Everyone hates on poor Fu Zhi 😓 If only they got a better voice for her– the current one pisses me off
Fu Zhi's character has lost her mother since birth, her father is with a stepmother who wants FZ to suffer and her brother is also not reliable...she has grown up unheard, having to fight for herself and rely on herself, an constantly demand for her share of resources...I find the character and portrayal coherent with the character description
Seriously...that was the ending..all the political build up and no proper resolution. Not happy with the ending...and after watching the extra episode, I wonder how many scenes they have actually cut

The fact that you have posted this and countered each point I put forth clearly shows you have given it more than enough consideration and thought...and to assume I have updated all the dramas I have wtched onto my MDL profile is childish and presumptuous...I will happily and politely debate any negtive criticism or opinion, appreciate positive comments and add my perspectives about any show as such sharing of opinions and dialogues help in seeing something from multiple perspectives and that is what art is all about...please share your views on side characters with examples under the spoilers, it wont spoil the show... Though "Enjoyment of this drama ultimately depends on personal preference and viewing history" sounds fair,but hiding behind these lines to dismiss an entire show and invalidate others experience of it is childish and presemptous.

I don't think you are really watching this drama.. There is no single 'best scene, line and plot moments' because entire episodes are fresh and not a single scene is unviewable or filler scene...each scene is intentional and coherent with the charcters being portrayed carrying the story forward... And as for tentpole scenes...in my opinion there are 2 already..1. where all the women candidates stand up for themselves against chancellor Xu.. clearly showing the theme of women empowerment and women standing up against all odds for their dreams....2nd where the emperor finally stands upto Chancellor Xu in the court and points out how the guy always makes his decisions wrong...that scene was a clear defining moment where instead of being portrayed as a rant which would have made the scene weak..the actor portrayed the scene with grounded anger of one taking his power back... And supporting character lacking depth? Each character is very well outlined and have their own personality,.not just an emperor's side kick..each character feels like a person not just a random role written to fil the scene or plot, including the villians... I haven't gone into in depth details or given detailed examples as I'll have to end up writting each scene of episode in the comment....genuine viewers will understand what I m talking about
Its refreshing to see the actors have good number of costume changes which are appropriate for situation and they are very well designed..the costume designer and team has done a great job..

Its always better to have voice actors and ensure the viewers have a holistic experience than force a character and voice which unfortunately don't match.. Having watched CZY in Fated Hearts , personally I feel he would have done justice to the role if he had dubbed it himself..Wei Yi Fan also deserves credit for doing justice to the role
