When it comes to A Chou I am still reserving judgement...she isn't out of survival yet.. if she gives up her position for Wei Rao Wei, family will kill her definitely, they already killed her father, tried killing her multiple times..wei family cannot be trusted... The Lou family hasn't really shown signs that they'll excuse her either..and even if she reveals to Lou family and they help her, they'll be implicated in deceiving the emperor...by not revealing yet they still have a chance of escaping punishment...as there is the imperial edict, if anyone finds she was imposter everyone involved will be killed... Further episodes will tell her true character (Her being nice to Bitao and even the tearing of land deeds etc is appearing like a survival move than real graciousness to me atp)
Survival can explain why someone crosses a moral boundary, but does it automatically make that person morally…

The brother I can understand...he is over-protective of his sister, plus siblings keep fighting till something happens and then stand up for each other when needed types...but he needs to back off too, FL is an adult... Seeing the family dynamic it is quite clear why FL is kinda a woman-child
But this other lab guy is too unnecessarily nosy and trying to be leader...some overbearing specimens exist like that unfortunately who think they know better than anyone including the teachers
For 5years JX did not try to investigate illness of WX..or Han Guang and his companies?? Initially understandable...but 5yrs is too long for a lawyer...

No...that is not how it works anywhere in the World...and to call people with mental ill requires a psychiatrist to diagnose it and they are free to roam the streets just like indivials with no illness/physical ailments, not everyone needs to be institutionalized...there are laws for everything The dramas handling of this is very wrong message and lazy writing considering the times they are showing

This is purely my POV : For all the rage-baiting, lazy writing and obvious plot holes drama deserves an even less rating atp acc to me...If the production quality was low or the actors were not acting this well it would have been a massive flop for me...only reason I am continuing to watch is the business aspects and manipulation by DL was well written and acting and production quality...apart from that the script has heavily relied on incompetence, false narratives and drama to move the plot forward
the drama makes it look like family member's falsified history is enough to get someone certified mentally ill...IT IS NOT..doctor's take comprehensive history (including from the patient),do a detailed analysis, there are many tests to assess and rule out organic causes/substance abuse/malingering before a final diagnosis is reached.. and WX has studied law...she could have escaped, gotten herself tested in a proper place and easily called out HG... the situations in drama is too far fetched considering the modern times they are showing...The drama writters have not done any research when it comes to the medical illness in this drama...this is 2025-26 not early 1990s or before If the drama showed family had medicated WX and never actually gotten consultations it would make sense considering the stigma around mental illness, but showing the official institutions incapable of diagnosing malingering is completely insulting and lazy writing.. (Also when I say WX has studied law, I am not saying she can't be a victim...I am only saying that someone who has studied law knows the manipulative nature of humans and has a higher radar for picking distrust than others which was overlooked in the drama, plus she has means and knowledge to get herself out of such situations than a common person with no knowledge of law)
So Harry think wiping a lawyers computer clean will let him go scot free? Who saves evidence in only one place? And it is a lawyer's computer...not common man's...even common people are careful, how can he be sure it wasn't a trap? Like his erasing the computer is kinda proof of guilt...YM may not want Harry tatgetted...but JX won't let him go free if he can be used...and considering the added personal revenge for WX he'll be even more ruthless

Someone who doesn't read and understand comments is assuming I lack objectivity...you lack basic comprehensive skills, first understand what the commentor is trying to tell I mentioned "repeated criticism which actually is hate"..meaning I was referring to people who criticise repeatedly to show hate, not necessarily as feedback...and such people do exist.. Also you have shown your lack of objectivity by saying repeated criticism is good thing..first of all this is a drama, repeated criticism is not going to change the scenes or shots..people are only making themselves miserable, 2nd even in real life repeated criticism even when done right will only lead to defensiveness and damaged relationships...
