I got a VERY good impression of the show from the first 2 eps. I've parked it for now until airs, but I can't wait to pick it back up! Thanx for the rec, Golden! :)
Sometimes I try to remember what I used to do with myself before I discovered drama. LOL
And I wish I lived near my mom. I just know we'd enjoy Korean TV together. She loves foreign shows. Sadly we live worlds a part & if I'm not around to help my mom use the computer & internet she gets completely intimidated. I really miss my mommy ...

Forget LSiH for now, watch Lovers! This drama is gearing up to be my favourite Kdrama!
Omo, THIS is the romance drama I've been waiting for all my life. THIS is how a romance between ADULTS should play out. None of this frustrating, playgroundish nonsense you typically see.
Here you have a love that develops over time as two people grow on each other. And grow on each other is exactly what they do, much to their surprise & chagrin. Their love is deliciously complicated & even though there's hardly an intimate touch between them the sexual chemistry is SICK. When they finally kiss the sparks flew like fireworks! I LOVE IT!
There are triangles in this, but trust me when I say it works in the context of THIS story. It's just not thrown in there to create false conflict. And it's neither annoying nor intense.
Praying the last 5 eps won't disappoint. If not this drama gets a solid 10!:)

Only 6 eps of Cruel City remains & I believe it airs 2x pr wk. So in that case it'll be over in 3 weeks. If you're able to pace yourself then maybe you can start it. I can't do it. :)
Check out Love Story in Havard then. In many ways it was a little different from other dramas. It can be broken into 2 main parts: Havard & after Havard. I loved the Havard sequences the most. The story was more fast paced & the budding love story was really nice to watch.
After Havard it kinda went downhill, but was still watchable. There's a white guy in this half that spoke fluent Korean & I imagine this was the reason he had a bigger role than just the regular cameo. I thought that was pretty cool.
Honestly Lovers has been on my PTW since I discovered Asian drama. I've been living dangerously the last few days so I picked it at random. So far I'm not disappointed, but I'm only 7/20 eps in.

Cruel City is SICK. I've put it on hold until it airs. Last thing I want to do is WAIT for the next episode. You seriously need to check this drama out. The male lead ... OMFG, 1 of THE most sexy Korean actors I have the pleasure to lay eyes on.
Completed Love Story in Havard recently. It was okay, just your typical cliche love story, but at least the interaction between the couple was semi-decent. The 1st ever Korean series I've watched where the characters actually had sex. Their sexuality wasn't glossed over 100% & I loved that. Also loved the OST, but was disappointed with the hero's abuse of the heroine (he slapped her 2x across the face). Big NO-NO for me.
Now I'm watching Lovers & it's holding my interest. Here is another hot, sexy hero who doesn't really talk much. He's a bad boy to the max. The kind of man you know you shouldn't want, but can't help yourself. My type of man!

Hi dongsæng, sorry for the late reply. I thought about you the other day and was going to write, but you beat me to the punch.
Re my comment about hot men ... ahh, I love them! :) They make watching otherwise mediocre dramas worthwhile! And hot damn, have you seen the lead guy in Cruel City? WOW!
As for how I am, last few days have been stressful, but for once it isn't because of work. My granddad passed away after many years of illness. We knew it was bound to happen sooner rather than later, but still you're never prepared for the death of a loved one. It's all good though. Life goes on.
What have you been up to? What have you been watching? Recently completed Love Story in Havard after a little slump. I gave it a 6, it was your typical cliche romance drama. I love this genre but I'm really getting sick of the fact that they're all basically the same.
Loved it, dongsæng! I'll be staying in Gangnam when I visit South Korea, just to experience the Korean Beverly Hills & hopefully spot a few of the stars! Gong Yoo, Byung-hun oppa & all those other hot, smexy ahjussis I'm in love with would be nice!

I'm such a sucker for hot sexy men! LOL
They always perk me up!
Cruel City is giving off some serious Prison Break vibe without the prison. PB is one of my all time favourite tv series so if it keeps the same action-packed, nail-biting pace I just might end up loving this drama.
Annnnd! From the first ep there seems to be a nice romance going on between mr. hot & sexy and the female lead. They are already a couple ... so hells yeah I'm hoping for some action! :) I hope she tears off his clothes. That man is too fine to be clothed! LOL LOL LOL
Oh dear, I don't know what's wrong with me tonight. It must be the wine I had with dinner! hehe
Anyway, I have high hopes for the love scene I am told to expect. Hopefully it will not disappoint!!! Haha

Yeah, good luck with finding such a film. If you do give me a shout.
As for Autumn's Concerto ... er ... I don't know about that. I gave it a 6. I don't really know how to explain how I feel about it. Maybe have a look at my review. I don't think it deserves the hype it has. Overall I was not that impressed. Vanessa Wu is not that attractive me, he can't act, the story is makjang like hell. It should have been this epic love story, and it really tried, but for me it fell flat. The drama was just poorly made and not well executed. Not to mention the ANNOYING OST that will literally drive you effing mad.
It was my first TW drama & I was disappointed. I don't regret that I saw it, though, hence the 6.
But it's probably better to start with MARS (need to see it myself) or something with the hotness that is Mike He. Do NOT start with Devil Beside Me.

Yes, Bara is a drama I want to watch eventually. I must admit that while I didn't mind her in Pride, I'm actually not very fond of the actress. But no matter, I don't dislike her enough to not watch the show. Is there any romance in it?
You know what ... I don't know what's going on. I can't even muster any interest for movies. I tried picking up Castaway from the Moon from where I left off several weeks ago and I couldn't do it. Grrr ... I really hate this feeling!
I'm going to try watching Cruel City & Manhattan Love Story and see how it goes.
P.S: I have no idea why the same msg posted 4 times. Sorry!
I'm in the process of trying to record my thoughts in a review. Words are failing me though.
Yes, I love Mi Joo! She's so cute, esp when she's babbling away at her patient. LOL
What do you think of Kang Jæ?
