Having Park Shin Hye as his next partner I don't think Lee Min Ho will have good luck with kisses.
Man, that's why when I heard she was cast I wasn't happy. I just thought ... bummer! What a waste. The woman is a cold fish. I just don't understand how anyone can pass up an opportunity to tongue with Lee Min Ho. I just don't get it. Anyway, I'm probably going to watch it regardless because I'm dying to actually SEE this man in a drama or movie! :)
Grrr ... I hate missed kisses! Absolutely hate 'em! They have a nasty tendency to occur when you've been waiting forEVERRRR for the couple to kiss & just when their mouths are just a hair's breadth from each other and your heart's pounding and you're thinking finally, palli, palli & do it already! And then ... BAM! The damn phone rings or someone walks in or some sh-- like that. Sigh ... I need to calm down, deep breaths, in, out, in, out ...
Ok, I feel better. In all my days I never expected to be in such a state of despair just anticipating a simple, good kiss! Asian dramas really have taken us back to the good old days when just looking side ways at your partner was pure decadence! Hahaha
GREAT article, my dear lumiere-1! Love it! :-)

Well anneong, chingu! :-)
Glad you enjoyed the movies! Yay. I'd also like to recommend 3-iron, the touching love story of a DV victim who finds a beautiful, poetic way to cope with her life. And Chunhyang, a story about the sweetness of young, new love. Or if you'd like a more mature retelling of the same story, go for The Servant. Both have a very special place in my heart & all are favs, esp 3-iron. I loved this film not only as someone who wants to be entertained, but as someone who wants to make movies as a living too. It's just a lovely piece of art. Now that I realize how hard it is for a show to get an above 7 rating from you, I won't proclaim you'll love them! Hehe ... but the chance of you liking them seems pretty way up there so give them a go.
Btw, something intrigues me about your ptw list ... you've already rated films you want to see? How do you go about that? :)
I'm not watching (waiting until it finishes), but that lead guy really has an interesting face. And hairstyle!

You're very welcome.
I can imagine it not being easy to pursue an artistic career in a country like Lebanon, esp if you're female. Am I right? But like you so wisely observed, there are many ways to get into the industry without pauperizing yourself. Starting out as a screenwriter on the side may be just the right way for you. I know of a lot of screenwriters who transition over into directing after a while. It's not impossible. Or you could take that opportunity at the news agency just to get your foot thru the door & build a network?
I don't like living in Norway 100%, but as far as a film career is concerned it's not a bad place to be. Barriers to entry remain relatively low & there are lots of public funds you can apply to for funding. If I was back home in the States I'd never be able to pursue a career in film so I have to count my blessings even though all's not perfect. :)

Evening Edinaa!
Did you have a nice day?
I have seen Spartacus, seasons 1-2 plus the prequel Gods of the Arena & I LOVE them all! I need to find the time to watch S3. I could do without all the blood & gore, but otherwise I LOVE this show! S1 was my favourite. Loved all the treachery & intrigue that took place when the gladiators were locked up in the Ludus. I even love characters I love to hate, like Batitiatus & Lucretia. I'm gonna miss Sparty so bad. Who was your favourite character (don't mention anyone from S3 because I haven't seen it yet! :)
For me I have to say Crixus! I love how he loves Nævia! :)

Samaritan Girl was pretty good. Gonna post a review on it soon. I'll let you know when its up.
Just rewatched Old Boy the other & even did a review of it, 10 yrs after first viewing. I'll check out the others in the trilogy! Old Boy reminded me that I really love Park Chang - woo's directing style.
Yeah I know Son Ye Jin is the woman you want to marry. Just like how I'm gonna have to fight your Queen to mary Lee Byung-hun oppa.
Now what the heck do yah mean you lost faith in Bollywood? Wæ-yo? Just type 'bollywood kiss' in at youtube & you can't go wrong.

Yeah, and no judgement that you like it. It's just not a drama for me. :)
Yes, I have heard of Tonbi. It's all I've been hearing about all week. I'm going watch it one day soon. Who knows about MDL's rating system. I don't really pay much attention to it.
I actually didn't know that The Queen's Classroom was a sad drama, but I'm still gonna watch it.
What are you watching now?
Last night I started a movie called Oasis. It's about a social misfit & a retarded woman who fall in love. Sounds interesting. Can't wait to see how it plays out...

Lol, short answer, YES!
But lemme get back to you with the long one! Working...
I wasn't there so I don't know what happened. I'm not on anyone's side. However, IF the allegations were false & this woman accused an innocent man of something so heinous she should get jail time or a massive fine or both! Too many women these days use rape as a gimmick for their own selfish gains, whether it be money, attention, revenge or all of the above. They seem to have no thought for real rape victims or the man whose life they've ruined! No matter how annoyed or angry you are with a man you don't accuse him of rape if he didn't rape you. Women who are so vindictive and spiteful disgust me, and just giving them a slap on the wrist for essentially ruining other people's lives is not right. Women are not children, therefore, they should be held accountable for their actions just as much as we expect men to be accountable for theirs.

Oh, I want to watch that drama, but I'm waiting until it airs. Hmmm, the female lead ... I'm a little wary of her. First time I saw her was in Unexpected You, I liked her but by the end of the show she grated on my last nerve with all the innocent naivete. Some actors have a tendency to play every role the same way. I hope this isn't the case with her in Nine.

Very provocative movie. I imagine it would resonate strongly with people who are parents.
This outcome was not unexpected the only thing unexpected was how long it took to get here. I am saddened by this…
People have sex with other people 10 yrs their junior after their first meeting all the time. They're grown. It is not for us to judge. It is between them and their god. What every man, esp a celebrity like Park, should think twice about is seeking out an easy lay with drunk women. *I* am not absolving the woman of her personal responsibility. But society tends to so whether it's fair or not it's always the man who gets blamed when the woman decides she wants money or doesn't want to be labeled a slut.

Well, you're doing yourself a favour by not seeing it. It's one of 2 dramas, the other being Save the Last Dance for Me, I regret seeing the most. But since I watched them in the early part of discovering dramaland I'll cut myself some slack.
Anyway, exactly! You'll never catch me dead watching shows like Full House, Boys Over Flower or anything with 'flower boy' in the title etc. I know many of these series are classics & people love them, but I just can't stand all the cuteness & childish behaviour.
I don't love crying so I'll stay far away from melos!

I can't figure out what OTP means.
Yes, to me Buzzer Beat, Pride, Coffee Prince are all mature dramas. They deal with issues adults face in their love lives every day, & they deal with it in a mature, as opposed to a juvenile, school yard type of way. I don't know if you've seen k-drama 18 vs 29, but it is the perfect example of an inauthentic, juvenile romance. While watching the drama I felt like I was watching grown adults, who are supposed to be a married couple, act like 4 yr olds.
That's why I'm saying 'mature' doesn't have to mean explicit content. It can just mean less childish behaviour.
No, I hate melos. Melodrama & romcom are two of my least favourite genres. I'll watch them when my mood calls for it, but not as a habit. I like dramatic romances in which the characters face everyday problems, but overcome them while falling in love the best. For eg, the movie Always.
