Had a look see on some of my earlier convos with mdl buddies and I saw a convo between you & I. It Started With a Kiss came highly recommended by you, but you warned that there aren't that many kisses in it. I started it last night & I gotta admit reading that had me disappointed because with a title like that you kinda want to expect lots of skinship! lol
So I just wanted to ask have you seen the sequel They Kiss, Again & are there more kisses in that?

Haha, I saw your recommendation to another mdl'er about Mike He being much better to look at than Vaness Wu. Totally agree & I haven't even seen the guy in anything yet! I'm about to watch him in Devil Beside You (and will add your Sunny Happiness rec). But even so I can never fathom all the hoopla about Wu. He's not a particularly great actor nor is he all that good looking. In my humble opinion. I better go hide before his fangirls crucify me! lol

Hell yes, it's about time you let KT rock your world! :-)
The Ahjussi is in a class by himself. I hope you'll like him. As for The Servant, good choice. Make the point at which you watch it sooner rather than later. I could be wrong, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Reply 1997, I wasn't planning on a review ... since there are already so many that I agree with, but I'll think about it. I still have reviews in the works for a few films I saw weeks/months ago. Summertime being one of them. I should really finish those...

Yeah, I saw you recommending 3-iron to someone on your wall. That's great. Spread the love! Had you recommended that AMAZING film to me, I'd literally get on the floor & bow to you! That's how much I LOVE that movie!

Now, please start Pride. Please?
And I have to find a way to convince you to see The Servant (and Chunhyang). I love Bang-ja.

Yeah, Shi Won is a good girl. I wasn't sure about her in the beginning, but she grew on me bcuz she kinda reminds me of myself. She's feisty, but sweet. Didn't like how she beats up on Yoon Jæ, but I forgave her. LOVED that she was a normal, everyday woman, not one of these plastic perfect, amazon heroines. She's chubby and average looking, just like most women you see on a daily basis. Yes, I love her. She's probably now one of my favourite heroines. I love Seo In Guk even more ... aigoo, he's making me evaluate my phobia against younger guys. lol But okay, since you found him first, you have him.

As for Joon Hee, you're right. Though I'm still curious, his resolution was fitting, I guess. Hopefully he finds a nice oppa who will be good to him.

This was just a great, little feel good show. The parents were so crazy. I can just see Shi Won & Yoon Jæ as them in the future. hehe

Hey, finished Reply 1997 last night. LOVED it! :-)
Thanks for the rec and pushing me to watch to the end. I LOVED the familiarity and closeness between Yoon Jæ & Shi Won. Shi Won, despite her violent streak, is my type of heroine. It's funny how we grow up to mirror our parents. So happy they ended up together & that everyone basically got their happy ending. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to see who Joon Hee ended up with. Whoever it is I hope he's happy. He's such a sweet character.

I'm now a bonafide fan of the lovely Seo in Guk (Yoon Jæ). Boy that kid is a pleasure to look at! Hope he does more romantic roles in the future.

Glad you liked Addicted. It's a great movie & LBH continuously proves why he's so popular. He's an amazing actor & I just love his aura. You should see him in I Saw The Devil. Now as for sharing ... no way! Find your own men! :-)

Really starting to like all the drama happening in Reply 1997 now. They've really upped the ante. Extremely intrigued to see who end up with who & am very tempted to skip to the end and see! I'm beginning to wonder if Yoon Jæ and Joon Hee might end up together. I want Yoon Jæ and Shi Won to be an item, but I feel so bad for poor Joon Hee. I can tell he's really into Yoon Jæ (no pun intended).

I was looking forward to this special but was a little bit disappointed with it. I thought the story was too focused…
I want a S2 or a movie or both. I'll write to Fuji TV if I have to. lol Now that they're official I need to see Toru being nice to Makoto for more than 3 mins. That was the most frustrating part of the special. Finally when he starts acting like a loving boyfriend the show ends. Grrr.

I totally agree the story feels incomplete. And I do agree that at the end of S1 it felt like they were official, even if their relationship was long distance. So I was a bit taken aback when I watched the special & it was an issue for Toru to have Makoto stay at his place. I was like, Dude, isn't she your gf? Where the hell else is she gonna stay except your place? Then I realized they hadn't quite reached that level. So in many ways the special is where they sat down & decide to be a real, official couple. Personally I think the makers could have just skipped all that & make them official from the start. That way the special could've been more about them adjusting to each other. Toru frustrated me with his bipolar behaviour, but it's in line with his character & the slow pacing of the romance plot. In his mind Makoto was still a ?, but by the end he accepted her as his woman.

My interpretation of the ending of the special is that they're now officially a couple, dating boyfriend/girlfriend ... husband/wife in the future. Furthermore, he seemed genuinely pleased to see her when he realized she was in the office and not Brazil (not his usual gruff, non-chalant, I don't give a shit response like before). And she seemed to have moved in with him or staying with him while she's in Japan. I hope she's back in Japan for good, but I wouldn't be surpised if she isn't. The makers of this show really like to torture viewers as far as these two are concerned. I'm really really hoping we get a S2. I still feel like their story is incomplete!

I agree with Mirichan. I do like the business side of the series, but I like the romance more so for me the special was better than the drama because we got to spend more time with the couple. When it comes to madman Toru & his contrary behaviour I think more than him being immature, he's just a control freak. He's used to getting things done his own way & doesn't expect anyone to challenge him. When he says jump, he wants to hear 'how high?'. But by the end of the special I felt like his character grew in that he realized if he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life alone he'll have to compromise & give up a little control. It would have been nice if he came to this realization earlier, but I think when it comes to romantic development the Japanese tend to take a more true to life approach to its pacing. I was happy with the ending. I think he'll behave himself from now on.
