From your list I've only seen A Bittersweet Life. I love me some Lee Byung-hun! Have you seen Addicted? If not, you should. Great movie, and Lee is a vision in it.
I'm looking forward to That Winter, the Wind Blows. Usually I don't like melos & stay away from them at all cost, but I'm going to watch this one for Jo In Sung & because it's shot so beautifully. Let me know what you think of it when you're finished.
I'm watching Reply 1997 now. Everyone I've asked have spoken very highly this show so I hope I won't be disappointed by it.
The Crucible is a really good movie & Gong Yoo is amazing in it!

The following ajusshis are some of my all time favourite eye candies: Kimura Takuya, Lee Byung-hun, Abe Hiroshi, Yoo Ji Tæ, Jung Woo-sung & that lead guy from A Gentleman's Dignity ... can't remember his name.
Of the younger flock Ryu Soo Young, Jo In Sung. I'm going to add Oguri Shun to the list. Lately he's been growing on me, even though initially I found him ugly.
Have a look at my profile to see the kind of dramas I prefer. But wait, wasn't it you who recommended a long list of dramas to me the other day ... or am I mixing you up with someone else?

Haha, I can guarantee you it isn't. I've been on shoots where actors had to be intimate with each other and trust me, it's very awkward for everyone involved, the actors & the crew. But it comes with the territory. If you wanna be an actor you have to be prepared for things like that, even if you have a 'no nudity' approach to your work. Sometimes you find an amazing role that requires nudity and you might be willing to go against your principles in that case.
Mooryc is a German indie rock band. Their manager is an acquaintance of mine & they're set to compose music for my next film.

Yeah, one of the reasons why I've postponed watching it was because I took one look at the male lead and thought 'no man candy, no watch'. Then I shelved it, but a couple people have been pushing me to watch it.
You've seen A LOT, haven't you? Gosh, I wish someone would pay me watch dramas and movies.
How long have you been an addict? And hey what happened to your profile?

Yeah, it was his feature film debut so maybe he was eager for a break and took whatever he could get. Or maybe not. Maybe he just liked the script. I thought it was a good movie. There isn't anything to be ashamed of, especially since he's a man. I imagine if any of the actors faced any backlash, it's the female lead. The sex, to me, wasn't gratuitous. I think it was relevant to the story & helped to show the hopelessness of their situation. It's the first time both parties had found such a love. So yeah, makes sense they'd want to devour each other.

An advice if you dont want to ruin the nice picture you have of Oh soo dont watch frozen flower! ^^
Haha ... had to chuckle when I saw your post. That's EXACTLY the reason why I will not be watching that movie anytime soon.

I want to spend at least 6 months exploring East & South East Asia, and the other 6 months exploring Australia and Africa. I've already travelled extensively throughout Europe, North & South America and the Caribbean so the year would be completely dedicated to travel on that side of the world. I have wanderlust. I can never grow tired of travelling. My dream job is one that I can do anywhere with enough wages to finance my journeys. Sadly I'm still trying to find that job! lol
Hey, I noticed that you gave Greatest Love a 6. It's a drama I'm planning to watch in the near future. What made you give it such a relatively low score?

Morning Edinaa, I love movies, probably more than dramas. I'm very much a cinephile & I watch movies from all over he world. I have lots of favs, but I don't always write them down so I tend to forget what they are! That's why I'm grateful for a site like MDL where I can keep track of my Asian dramas and movies. We need an MDL for western movies.
I chose to watch a movie based on its synopsis and or the actors playing in it. If I'm not familiar with the actors then the story has to grab me for me to invest my time. Sometimes I'll watch a movie just for the actor, if I really really love him or her.
You can see some of my current Asian favs on my favourites column. Aside from 3-iron they're subject to change at any time. Right now I'm watching a romcom called Unstoppable Marriage & Reply 1997. What about you? What are some of your fav Asian & non Asian movies?

I downloaded it and watched it RAW too so I understand your impatience. I was just too excited to see the couple again. Now that I have seen it, I can't wait to see it again with subs so I can know what was said. As usual Toru was acting like a crazy person (which he probably is) & I want to know what he said to Natsui. If you see a subbed version anywhere pls tell me. I'll do the same for you. Actually someone on doramax264 said they were working on subbing it & should have it up by Friday (today).

Hope you had a nice rest! I managed to read the first 2 pages of the thread & your big fat adventure sounded like soooo much fun! Totally jealous! What countries did you visit? I'm gonna go back and read the whole thread later.
I'm in the process of planning a one year RTW trip. Most of it will take place in Asia, Africa & Australia. It was suppose to happen this year but I've had to cut those plans short due to a number of reasons. I hope to take off sometime within the next 3 yrs, hopefully not later.
I see you have gifs from Reply 1997 on your profile. What's your opinion on the show?

Yeah I know the feeling! It's the same with me. I had NO interest in Asian culture before October 2012. Asian men have never even registered on my radar. Now I can't seem to get enough of them. I stare at them when they walk by on the street! They probably think I'm a perv. Hahaha.
Hey, you don't like travelling on your own? It's nice to travel with someone, but if I can't find anyone to go with me I won't let that stop me and neither should you! Solo travel is FUN! :)
LOL, we were are too much alike in our tastes. I thought you'd already completed Saranghæ. It's weird because my taste is very peculiar and I always feel like people just don't get why I like what I like haha. Anyway, I felt the same way about the lead guy. That's why I parked it. I'll pick it up again sometime later.

Wow, you went to Japan? How was it? Are the men as cute as we see in dramas? ;)
I want to go there, but I think I want to go to Korea first.
I've seen AGD, Queen In Hyun's Man & Autumn's Concerto. They're acceptable. That's the type of physical interaction I want to see. Something real, if not completely natural looking. Hehe
I watched half of the 1st episode of Saranghæ. Couldn't finish it. How did you rate it & why? I might give it a go later. I'm going to check out the rest. I think I already have Time Between Wolf and Dog on my list. Thx so much for the rec! :)

I know exactly what you mean. It's the same with me. My mom's Jamaican while my dad is American. I spent a lot of time in both countries while growing up because my mom didn't want me to assimilate too much into American culture. She thinks it's a bad influence on the young. But to Jamaicans, I'm still very American & to Americans I'm very Jamaican. LOL
I've stopped trying to please everyone and just try to please myself. Gives me less headache. :)

The thing with k-dramas is that they'll acknowledge sex only if they need to use it as a plot device, but aside from that it seems to be a big no no.
What k-dramas have you seen with a more mature outlook? Please tell me because I can't bear to watch those dramas where sex & any form of physical interaction is such a big deal.
I get what you're saying about the Koreans, their language, culture & humour. I feel the SAME! I love them so much I've actually started learning Korean. I also think the Koreans come across as a more approachable people than the Japanese. There's a certain mystique about the Japanese.
I hung out with a lot of Koreans while at Uni. They were pretty cool even though back then I wasn't so interested in their culture so I missed out on making friends with them. The Japanese on the other hand always stuck to themselves.
