Sure, Hollywood is guilty of the same, but I'm pretty sure there are other gorgeous guys flowing around in society who have absolutely NO interest in the entertainment industry (besides working in the industry myself I wouldn't want to get with someone who also works in it! This profession can be a cancer, esp to relationships! :). As for what I'm watching, mostly movies at the moment. I'm about to start A Tale of Two Sisters. Prior to this I watched 2 movies based on an amazing love story, Chunhyang & The Servant. I highly recommend! :-)

I want to watch it all in one. Anyway, do you have any other recs similar to Secret Love & Addicted? Have you seen My Friend & his Wife?

Hey Sam, thanks! You done know ... we affi represent! LOL

Addicted was a great movie! I loved it. I love Lee Byung-hun's backside in it & basically I just love Lee Byung-hun haha. He's a great actor. I've seen Secret Love, yes. Not a bad flick. I need to watch it again because I saw it all chopped up on Youtube. I also love Yoo Ji Tae, another great actor. If you can watch The Servant I'd highly recommend it. It's a great love story. In the meantime if you want to find Chunhyang (which is based on the same folk tale as The Servant) you can find it here: http://stagevu.com/video/ksmavzhebjcj

Excellent article! Dramas have opened up a whole new world to me. I've discovered a new language & culture…
I've always known there are attractive men all over the world, but it has just never occurred to me to look at an Asian guy in that way. Maybe because of the circles I move in. Both professionally and socially I interact very little with Asians, not because I don't want to, but I've never had the opportunity. Only when its festival season I get to meet and chat with filmmakers from every corner of the world. Also sometimes communication for both sides is difficult due to the language barrier, but now with my new-found confidence and interest in the region I'll be taking the initiative to talk to them from now on! :-)

I know, right? Dramas have just whet my appetite! Now I can't seem to get enough, learn enough or make my first trip soon enough. LOL It's madness.

You're longing for childhood? Why on earth? You're at a good age.
I'm longing for the days when I was just a lazy student like you, going to classes, watching movies and having fun with my friends. I didn't have to worry about finding work and paying the bills. You'll understand what I mean when you reach 30. ;-)

I'm the dog (haha, it's so funny saying that).
I'm liking the sound of my Chinese horoscope for this year. It's uncanny how true it sounds. As long as I'm alive, I'm ready to work my ass off to accomplish my goals. I just hope there'll be a good payoff for my blood, sweat & tears. 2012 was a very wishy-washy year for me. I'm ready for BIG, positive changes in my life so bring it on, 2013! :-)

Excellent article! Dramas have opened up a whole new world to me. I've discovered a new language & culture that fascinate and excite me. Dramas have inspired my career as a filmmaker and my desire to explore a region of the world that has never really registered on my radar prior to my discovery. I have also found out that I AM attracted to Asian guys! Gosh, you're never too old to discover something new about yourself! Just a few months ago I never woulda seen that comin'! :-)

Anyway, the romance in Chunhyang was great, but what I loved the most was the movie's direction. Very unique.

Of the three 2012 dramas I've seen A Gentleman's Dignity is my favourite & of course Do-jin oppa was my favourite amongst these ahjussis. I have to agree that the show felt like it was conceived with Jang Dong Gun specifically in mind. I'm only sorry that they paired him with Kim Na Heul. I don't particularly care for her as an actress.

Thanks for this list. I had already black-listed Big, Rooftop Prince & I do, I do. The others I don't know so much about, but wasn't planning to watch anyway. I do have To the Beautiful You on my list though, but based on the fact that its here on this list I'll have to investigate further whether it's worth my investment.

Dr. Jin for sure! I'm a BIG Jaejoong fan, but not even his character made me watch the drama quickly. I wonder…
Actually you're not alone re: Queen In-Hyun Man's. I'm mystified why everyone thinks this drama is so great when it is neither better nor worse than your average k-drama. It had all or most of the same annoying (romance) cliches and the rules for the time travel were all over the place. I liked the Jesoen Kim Boong Do, but I found his speedy adaptation to life in the 21st century completely unbelievable. I know he was a smart man, but still a person coming from so far back in time would have at least been a little overwhelmed by all the stimuli that exist in our world. The leads were cute together, but for me that's hardly enough to justify its widespread critical acclaim amongst my fellow mdl'ers. I guess I'll never understand. It's okay. :-)
