LOL, hey so is yours! :-)
Anyway, thx for the rec. I don't know which one to choose though since you didn't separate them from serious, light & in between.

Give me both & in between and then I can pick the one that intrigues me most.

Haha, really? Now I'm really intrigued about this movie. But, no, I don't want spoilers. I want to be surprised. Very happy to hear it's not sad, at least.
But what to watch after X-mas dinner? Can you have a quick look at my PWL and recommend me something? :)

AMTR is a very touching movie so I'm not surprised it made you soft. LOL I watched it for a second time about a month ago and damn ... that letter Su-jin wrote to Chul-soo telling him he was the only one in her heart & the way he was bawling as he read it. That was a real kick in the stomach. Somehow, though, I still completely love that movie. It's sooo romantic! :-)
Haven't started Concubine yet. Was planning to watch it after X-mas dinner, but now maybe I'll opt for something else since it made even you upset! You're like the king of sad stories. How is that even possible? :-)

I only cry at a sad movie / drama when they take me completely by surprise. For eg I cried buckets at Padam Padam ... which isn't the saddest drama out there but never in my wildest dreams did I expect things to turn out the way it did. It was my first ever K-drama and because of the adverse effect it had on me (I literally was depressed for days afterwards) I started checking the ending of everything I watch before I watch it. So one day I will watch 1 Litre ... I already know it's going to be sad so I probably won't cry ... I'm just not in the mood to be moved right now. It's the holidays and I'm in high spirits! :-)

No, I didn't cry because of any of those movies. A Moment To Remember was one of the first Korean movies I had ever watched. Prior to it I had watched Korean movies but they were few and far between, and dramas I hadn't yet discovered. So when I watched AMTR, even though it was sad, it didn't affect me as much because I was more used to Western movies where 90% of the time you're guaranteed a non-downer ending. One sad movie thrown into that mix didn't make a difference. In the East, however, the chance of watching a sad movie is at least 90%. With Once In a Summer I watched it purely for Lee Byung-Hun. I didn't know how it would end. It made me very sad, but I don't remember crying. Sad Movie, just by the name alone I knew was going to be sad so I braced myself for it and didn't cry.

Thanks for the recs.
I'll check them out. I don't know if I can deal with 1 Litre of Tears anytime soon though. I read the synopsis and I cried just from that alone ... so the actual drama I'll save for when I'm a little emotionally stronger.
After all these dramas I'm kind of in a movie slump just like you. But the other day I saw a really great Gangster movie called A Dirty Carnival that sort of got me out of it. Have you seen it? If not, I can recommend it. I loved the message it gave.

Omo, I've already downloaded it so should I uninstall it then? I used it to download a video from youtube and seemed to have worked fine.
I haven't seen Missing You. I'm avoiding it for exactly the reasons I stated. I hear it's very melodramatic. Ugh, I can't stand those (although I'm watching one right now LOL). Yeah, I like Japanese dramas a bit more than Korean since they seem more realistic & less over the top. But they too resort to the same old cliches & unnatural intimacy - though I have seen J-dramas where the characters kissed for real. In general though the Japanese seem to be a very pessimistic people. Most of their movies & dramas are about death, how cruel life is etc. I like my entertainment to be a little more optimistic. Anyway what are some of the J-dramas you like?
I agree with you about the less popular dramas being better. Please recommend some to me.

Haha ... funny you should say that when I'm considering a long term break from dramaland. They're just too formulaic and predictable for me & I don't like how do deal with romance in most Asian, esp Korean, dramas. Aside from the fact that they usually end with someone dying or going away, I dislike the lack of intimacy between characters who are supposedly in love. The characters act like children on a playground instead of adults & to me it seems very unnatural. LOL I'll stick to movies from now on. I do love the Korean culture though, and I'm serious about learning the language so soon I'll be talking to you entirely in Korean. You better learn it too! haha ... hey how do I watch Concubine on that site? I downloaded iLivid, but every time I click on one of the 'Watch Full Movie' links some weird website pops up. I'm afraid of viruses hijacking my computer.

Knight, where did you watch Royal Concubine: Concubine of the King? Seems like an interesting story, but it's not located in any of my usual spots.

I understand. It's a very artsy film, perhaps made for the pleasure and enjoyment of other filmmakers rather than the general public. Personally, I didn't miss the dialogue at all. The great performances from the actors and the general mood of the movie was enough to tell the story for me. And sure, if my film comes out well, I'll be happy to share it with everyone. :-)
I loved the OST from A Gentleman's Dignity. Spring I Love You & You are Everywhere by Big Baby Driver, all sung in English, were amazing! And while I did not enjoy the drama as much as everyone else, I love the instrumentals in the song My Man, Kim Boong Do from Queen In-Hyun's Man. Absolutely amazing and captures those moments of longing between the characters (who I loved, just hated the story!) really well.

Well, it's a very sexy movie. Nothing gratuitous or outrageous, but more than what you see in your average drama. From a previous conversation we had you seemed embarrassed when I mentioned the awkward kissing in most Asian dramas ... or maybe I was mistaken? Doesn't matter, enjoy! :-)

3-iron is 1 of my all time favourite movies, of all movies I've ever seen, and the 1 I like the most from director Kim Ki-duk. That film really moved me in a way I didn't expect. I'm actually making a short film next year that's heavily influenced by 3-iron and Kim's style. That's how much I loved it! :-) I noticed you only gave it a 7 though. I'm interested to know how you arrived at that rating? Perfectly fine, of course, just curious. :)
As for Ghost, sounds pretty interesting! I'll be sure to check it out once I'm in the mood for a good crime drama. I think maybe you'll like A Dirty Carnival. It's a very good cautionary tale about life in the underworld. I have a review up if you'd like to get a broader impression of what to expect. I'm now 13 episodes into LYATT & boy is one of the couples pissing me off! LOL Only this time it's the man that I can't bear to look at!

Knight, long time no hear! What's up, mate? All is well on your side of the world? I am well. Just work, work, work and a few movies/dramas in between. I don't know if you celebrate Christmas or what not, but I hope I won't cause any offence in wishing you Happy Holidays! May 2013 be a year of discovery, joy and fulfilled dreams for you, my friend! :-)
Now as for Sweet Room, I watched it on You Tube. If you check my wall up to a few days back you'll see the links (they were posted by darkangel). Let me know what you think it if/when you check it out. You might be in for a shock! LOL
