It made it! :)
I'm happy you like my review. It was pretty easy to write considering how much I enjoyed the show. I'm watching Tatta now and so far it's really good. Thanks for these amazing recs. I hope you get your Asian drama mojo back soon! :-)

Is that a real baby on your profile or an alien baby?

Re: The Great Seer. That is why I generally don't like watching dramas that are still airing / in production. How can they not pay the actors? How do they expect people to survive? I read somewhere recently that most Korean actors (aside from the top 1%) only get paid at minimum wage (for actors). I was shocked! Granted, an actor's minimum wage is typically much more than the average minimum wage, but still ... it's just barely enough for them to get by. I really dislike it when these big corporations take advantage.

You changed your profile! Very informative and it looks awesome. I also need to change mine if ever I find the time ... and learn how to add pictures and gifs! Anyway, since you said you wanted to read it I wanted to alert you to my review of Orange Days before it goes of the main page. Let me know what you think! Did I capture the essence of this love story? :D

Yeah, I noticed that about it the moment I started watching it. But I'm good with a slower pace as long as the story calls for it. In the case of Tatta I think it does.

Thank you, my little sis! You might like it too so give it a go! :)

After OD I wanted to see more of Narimiya Hiroki so I went looking for his back list of credits. I found one part of a movie (or rather a compilation of short movies) called Sweet Room. Narimiya is in it and if you like them steamy you won't be disappointed! ;)

Yeah and of all the brothers Tae Hee is Halmoni's favourite so I knew she'd come around. It's ridiculous to blame poor Ja Eun for a mistake her father made. She had nothing to do with that so why should she suffer? Anyway, it all worked out in the end.

Yes, I can't gush enough about Orange Days. I have no idea if you'll love it as much as I did or if you'll love it at all, but to me it was a very worthy drama. If not for those bloody cliches this would have been perfect all around. I gave it an overall score of 10 because I loved the way it made me feel. I loved the romance between the two leads as well. It was a really sweet, supportive relationship. It's the type of relationship I want to have.

Yeah, I restarted it yesterday after reading how much you loved it. I tried watching it Friday night, but fell asleep -- not the drama's fault ... I was kinda upset at someone so I was extra exhausted lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching this play out. Rita also told me how great this drama was, and it was in fact she who urged me to watch both it and Orange Days. As you know I loved OD so I'm eager to see how Tatta will affect me. I've watched episode one and it was quite good. Loved the look on Hiroto's face when Nao busted him about his lie. Haha.

Poor Tae Hee and Ja Eun ... it's so unfair what they had to go through. People should be responsible for their own actions, not someone else's. I hope Harmoni comes around, but she's one stubborn elder, isn't she?

I've only watched the first episode of Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and it wasn't bad. I'm curious to see how it plays out. I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but I recently saw Orange Days and it was awesome. If you haven't seen it I can highly recommend it. Tatta is written by the same scriptwriter as Orange Days so I'm hoping it's just as good.

If you love gangster flicks I recommend Nameless Gangster. It stars one of my fav S. Korean actors, Ha Jeong Woo, and that guy from Old Boy. Saw it earlier this year at a film festival. Everyone loved it, including me. It's also on gooddrama. If you ever check it out let me know what you think! :-)

Thank you, Duri! It's been a quiet, relaxing day so far. :-)

How are you doing? Have you finished Ojakgyo Brothers? I'm watching Japanese drama Tatto Hiroto no Koi (or something like that), but I was in the mood for a gangster flick today so I'm taking a break to watch A Dirty Carnival. So far so good. I really like the genre, and this is like research for me because my first feature film that I'll make will be a gangster movie! :)

Ela, came across a Kimmy movie last night that I wondered if you've seen. It's called I Come With the Rain. Seems like an action gangster flick. I can't believe I'm gonna get to see 3 of the most fine-arse guys and talented actors in one movie: Kimmy, Lee Byung-Hun AND Josh Hartnett! I can't wait to watch it but I just wanted to know your impression of it, if you've seen it. If you haven't then I'd say let's check it out together! I love this genre and I love these guys so I'm thinking it should be fun. :-)

Yeah, I've been hearing Winter Sonata is a classic ever since I discovered Asian dramas & MDL. I almost watched it but opted for something else at the last minute. Also the fact that it is melo kinda scares me off a bit. I don't like dramas that mess with my emotions. I want to be entertained, not depressed.

I think you will enjoy both RMPW and Orange Days. They're both great in their own way.

I'll pretty much watch anything Kimmy's in, but I have to have the right mood for it. Later on today -- with a nice glass of wine and some delicious ethnic chow -- I plan to watch I Come With the Rain. It stars Kimmy! And Lee Byung-Hun! And Josh Hartnett! ALL guys that I LOVE. I can't think of a better way to spend the last hours of my b-day! I hope it's good! You should check it out if you like action, gangster type films.

Yes! I know about One Million ... BUT I hear Kimmy plays a villain and it's not happy ending so it's on my on-hold list for now.

Ok, just read your review (great! by the way) and from what you wrote I see that it was really THAT good for you. Now I'm definitely going to watch it next. I loved Orange Days ... which was, I'm told, written by the same writer as Tatta so that alone is already a plus in this drama's favour.

I love them too so if you know of others do share! I'd also recommend you watch Orange Days. The heroine is a bit more tortured than the hero, but he was soooooo amazing in the way he took care of her. I think every girl should have a boyfriend like Kai! :)

Oh, and did you watch Rich Man, Poor Woman. Toru Hyuga is something else. He's the perfect complicated, tortured hero: ill-tempered, cantankerous, neurotic, lonely ... but underneath it all he's a good kid and I'm glad he found someone like Natsuki to make him laugh. I'd recommend it.
