Nope, after watching Coffee Prince & being "introduced" to Gong Yoo, I wanted to see more of him so I decided to watch Finding Mr. Destiny thinking I'd get 2 for the price of 1: comedy & eye candy. The eye candy was definitely there, but I didn't really care for Yoo in the role he played in the movie. Actually he played two separate roles, but one role (the one I don't like) was more dominant than the other. I've put it on hold for now & have started watching Orange Days. It's actually quite okay. It's about a group of college kids trying to figure out how they're going to navigate adult life now that graduation is looming. It's very relatable since it wasn't so long ago I was in the same situation.

Interesting list of actresses you avoid. I'm curious to know why you don't like them? I'm also not a fan of Kim Ha Neul. I don't know why but there's just something about her acting style that bugs me. Same goes for Ha Ji Won. I've seen her (Ha Ji Won) in a number of films and she gets to me all the time. I guess those are the two actresses I dislike the most. Otherwise I don't really notice actresses that much! lol

Haha, thanks Addy! I didn't really like him either. I found him a bit ugly ... no, ugly is perhaps too strong a word. Let's say, unattractive. But he had his moments. He grew on me by the end. :-)

Thanks Rita! And back at ya. I love the way you express yourself in your reviews. :-) I have seen where our opinions have differed on certain shows, but also others where we have totally agreed. This is true for shows we've both reviewed and those you've reviewed, but I haven't. I have an ambition to review at least 70% of all shows I watch, but it's not always achievable when I have so many things going on at once! :)

Yeah, all 4 of them had really nice chemistry, didn't they? And I'm sooo with you, if there was any love triangle among the brothers I don't think I would've enjoyed it as much. It's just my bad luck that one of the plot devices I hate the most ALWAYS pop up in every single Asian drama I watch! Yeah, I'm a fan of Ryu So Young (Tae Bum). He's like the Asian Hugh Grant for me. That being said I did not care for his wife in OB! I liked her so much in the beginning but by the time their story played out I pretty much hated the two of them. :( Tae Sik, ironically enough, is perhaps my favourite. I loved seeing him with Gok Su & the guy's facial expressions are priceless! LOL Every time he screws up and he is found out I almost died with laughter! Just remembering makes me laugh. By the way, your assessment of RMPW is pretty spot on. I'll put up a review later.

I majored in producing at film school, but I also write & direct. Producing is more business-oriented (like being a project leader) whilst writing/directing are more creative functions. Rather than work for others I'm attempting to go independent (though from time to time to boost my income I produce other people's work too). Independent filmmaking is NOT easy at all. My biggest challenge is getting the money I need to make the film I want because there's so much competition & I'm still relatively inexperienced. But still it's fulfilling work because I'm doing what I love. Right now I'm working on 3 different projects simultaneously (not unusual in this biz). Two short projects and one long one.

::Giggles:: As a producer myself, that's good to hear. We producers have to fight too many assholes to get things done. lol

Isn't that airing now? I wanna wait until it's all out. I hate waiting week after week for episodes to come out. I'm not patient like that. Besides to avoid disappointment I want to wait & hear if the ending suits me.

Gamsahamnida, Elisabetta. Your words are wise and a source of strength to me. These days I've adopted "Let go of the things you can not change" as a mantra. When I feel myself losing it because my latest funding application for my movie was denied or when someone I hire to do a job let me down and etc and etc I try repeating that to myself and it helps somewhat. I also try to be thankful for all the good in my life. Even though I'm lazy and haven't been working out I'm in excellent health & so are my loved ones for the most part. When I focus on those things I realize I have a lot be grateful for. As for weather, here in Oslo it isn't much better! These days the temperature is more tolerable, but just last week we were hitting - 15 or more. When that happens, I desperately want to run away to some place warmer and never come back! :)

Yeah, I didn't like that all the guys were sort of stuck in one sided love triangles with women who don't seem to appreciate them. I mean, have a little pride, dude. Eun Chan's sister was horrible, but I boiled that down to immaturity (after all, I wasn't too much of a catch personality wise when I was 18 either). Yoo Jun on the other hand was grown. She should know better. I'm not condoning what Han Sung did, but his little mistake is nothing compared to what she did and yet she felt she had the right to behave so righteously? What a hypocrite. That's why I always disliked chick flicks, esp ones like Sex & the City and so on. I hate how they portray women as arrogant, control freak tyrants & the men as spineless wimps who tolerate all kinds of crap. I don't subscribe to that type of feminism. No ma'am. Treat people the way you want to be treated is my philosophy. ;)

It's always interesting to hear how different people deal with stress. I wish I could think so rationally about it as you, Elisabetta. But as I get older (the BIG 3-0 looming in just one week's time) I'm starting to realize just how emotional I am. I internalize a lot things I see on tv especially when I'm stressed in my own life. So if I watch a melo, in particular with a heavy dose of slice of life, all kinds of crap happening to characters and so on it just makes my own problems seem worse (exactly because it's so relateable).

Addy! :) Hey, what's up? Watching anything great?
I'm doing arite, just feeling very lazy & restless on this cold, Oslo Sunday! I tried watching dramas & movies, but nothing's interesting to me so I pretty much slept the day away (when I should have gotten some work done! :) I finised up Coffee Prince on Friday, and wanted to see more of Gong Yoo so I started Finding Mr. Destiny. I don't like the character he plays in it, plus it's been difficult getting into the story so I've parked it for now (I hear it gets better). Also started Rich Man, Poor Woman, but that too is off to a very boring start. I find the lead guy unattractive. When it comes to romantic drama/movies the attractiveness of the hero plays a big role in how much I enjoy it. I know, I know, I'm a horribly shallow person! But only in this regard! haha Otherwise, I'm very sweet & cute. And crazy ... maybe! haha

Nonsense! You write wonderful English and I'm not just saying that to be nice! :) It's better than my Norwegian haha. I loved Ojakgyo Brothers. I loved the family gatherings the most, but the brothers' love lives were also interesting! There's one couple I particularly disliked, but I won't say who yet. How far along are you? I'd love to discuss this with you. Feel free to throw your impressions at me as they come to you. Re: Coffee Prince, I pretty much relayed the same sentiments in my review. It dragged quite a bit in many places for me. I fast forwarded A LOT! But that wasn't my only problem. Read it and let know if you agree. I gave it an 8, but lately I'm thinking it probably deserves a 7. I decided to start RMPW. It's been difficult getting into it. I'm finding it a bit boring to be honest & (don't kill me) but I find Oguri Shun unattractive. ::ducks:: hehe

I see that drama is very popular here on mdl, but I'm staying away from it with a ten foot pole. The title alone scared me off! I don't want to cry 1 litre of tears, sorry. I don't care how beautiful the story is. Ha! I can understand why you're in a slump after watching it. Anyway, just finished up Coffee Prince on Friday. Not really watching anything now. I tend to marathon dramas so it's nice to take a few days break where your life isn't overtaken by drama. Haha. I saw the 1st episode of Rich Man, Poor Woman, not really feeling it. Mainly because I think the main lead guy is ugly (yes, I'm shallow like that, so what? :) Probably gonna keep watching a bit longer though before I drop it, if I drop it. Maybe the story will grab me later on. We'll see. I checked your list, see you have Pride as PTW. Watch it! :) It's awesome and it's likely you'll fall madly for Kimura Takuya!

This reminds that I have to do my review for Hello Schoolgirl. It was a decent movie. Slow-paced, but reflective.…
Me too. The pacing of Hello Schoolgirl fits the story of the main couple, Yoo Ji Tae (one of my favourite Korean actors) & Lee Yoen Hee. Any faster and it would have seemed creepy. So yeah, good movie.
