No, haven't see Last Cinderella & I don't plan to. I don't believe in 'noona love' stories. Not when there's such a huge age gap. I don't like huge ages when the man is older either, but it's a little more tolerable for me. What about the lead character in LC bothered you? By the way, which lead character are you talking about? I've seen screen shots of Miura Haruma from the drama (LC) and he is FINE! I'll look forward to watching him in Taisetu although I hear that his character is a total ass.
Byakuyako does sound interesting to me, but I'll save it, along with Beautiful Life, for when my mood can tolerate sad dramas.
Pleased that Nine is picking up for you! I hope it stays that way. And LJW is just dreamy here. Wow! :) I still need to watch the last episode myself, but I've been dreading it! :)

Omo, is that Joo Sang Wook on your profile pic? Noice! :)
I really love the sound of this so I'm going to add this to the list. My only apprehension is that the female…
We'll just have to wait & see I guess! Hopefully she won't disappoint. I'm not familiar with her co-star (what else has he done?), but he's alright looking. Looking forward to meeting him & seeing what he can do! :)
I'm more afraid she'll ruin the storyline which I think - for a kdrama - should be interesting. Usually kdramas are so darn conservative, but 2014 seems to be the year of the divorce! :)

Your butt is crazy! 17 dramas??? Girl, how the heck do you keep track? lol I can barely keep track of one drama muchless 17!
Yeah, I'm hearing a lot of good things about Can We Love. Even one friend of mine - who never watches romance themed dramas - seems hooked. Ok, so she's a Uhm fan, but still I'm surprised she's enjoying it so much ... which makes me wonder if I'd enjoy it despite the cheating, relationship drama.
KSS is definitely a draw too! I'm tempted. Looking forward to the poster! And WÆ (weh) are you camera shy? You're gorgeous! Get on with making those vids, girl, & stop talking nonsense!!! :p

Ah right! I actually haven't watched the drama myself (and probably never will) but I've become so familiar with it from all the chatter on this site. The closest she's ever come to playing against type, as far as I saw, was in the movie Searching for the Elephant. Dumb movie, but I was a little surprised that she took on that role. Didn't know she had it in her. But there she was with the pursed lip kissing ... which is why I'm not too keen on her being the lead in this new drama.

Thx for the letting me how to resize the photos, but I was actually wondering about the animation at the top and bottom of your profile. Or maybe those are added the same way as normal photos? Sorry far all these questions, I'm not very tech savvy at all! :)

Ha Ji Won & Kim Ha Neul, two of the most annoying Korean actresses I know of! You & me both, in not knowing why they're so damn popular.
Actually, no, that's not right. I do know.
At least on this site my theory is that people don't love them because they're 'good', but because they're popular (which in turn makes them even more popular). Moreover, groupthink is quite pervasive on MDL.
I still haven't found a Korean actress I can classify as a favourite. Not even one. There are a few that I don't mind watching, but they haven't blown me away like some of the men have.
Anyway, I really enjoy reading your reviews. They're often quite contrarian ... which only makes them more refreshing. You bring a completely different perspective, even when it comes to some dramas/movies that I personally loved & enjoyed. Do you have any particular genre you prefer watching more than others or do you watch anything that strikes your fancy?

Thx for the update sis. I was lmao. You really have a way of expressing your opinion! The update confirmed for me that I will NOT watch this drama. I hate dramas about cheating, selfish people and bitter relationship drama, but I shall continue to look forward to your updates with gusto! My only complaint is why so few??? You've only done 2 updates, this & the first one. Isn't that so? Anyway, good job, dongsæng! :)
By the way are you watching Can We Love? I'm keeping my eyes on that one, but I'm scared to death it will evolve into another WWM3x!
I really love the sound of this so I'm going to add this to the list. My only apprehension is that the female…
Betts, I like her brand of 'cute'. There are some actresses that play cute and aegyo and I just want to punch them most of the time. However, I didn't react negatively to her in Smile, You. But I AGREE. She seems to have only one way of interpreting her characters so all her roles come across the same no matter what she plays.

Yeah, didn't I tell you I once had an Austrian boyfriend? It was donkey ages ago though so my German is as dead as that relationship, even though I still remember a few words here & there! :p
Wow, you've been on a roll, haven't you? What LDG drama/movie did you watch? Have you seen Changing Partners? He's really good there. I like him too, but I can't watch any of his dramas for the same reasons you pointed out. Only one that isn't a tragedy in some way or another is Sweet 18, but I wouldn't recommend it. Too immature & silly ... though quite funny in parts too.
Generally speaking I'm not that into So Ji Sub, but he can endear himself to me depending on the role. I really liked him in Always. Overall, though, I think he's a bit overrated given that he has only one expression on his face. And I don't like his off screen persona. He has a very bizarre fashion sense!
As for the female lead in Master's Sun (haven't seen it, don't know if I will). She can be quite charming. She grew on me as well in The Greatest Love, but then I got frustrated with her character again in later episodes. This was more the Hong sisters' (writers of both TGL & MS) fault than hers, though. For the most part I don't care for their writing.
Haha ... I had to laugh at your comment about Kim Ha Neul - female lead in ADG. I know EXACTLY how you feel because I feel the EXACT same way! I have never seen her in anything where she didn't make feel like I should bitch slap her. LOL! I can't stand her. AGD really drove the nail in her coffin. I hated her acting & screen presence before, but after ADG I hated her more! Having said that, I'll urge you to try and grit your teeth and finish it. It's a good drama in spite of her.
Seriously who writes some of the synopses on this site? I haven't seen this movie, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the synopsis above is a total spoiler! Now I won't be able to watch this movie because I already know what's going to happen! Thx, crappy synopsis writer, GREAT job! :/

Hehe please tell me why you like Ki-dukky's Breath? Not that I don't like it myself, but I think he made that film while he was high. I like the general concept, it seemed avante garde & intriguing, but the ensuing plot left me in a slight state of wtf shock. LOL! The movie in and of itself seemed totally random to me. What did you think?
I still need to watch his latest works. I walked out of Pieta when it screened at Venice (international film festival). It's not that it was boring or I didn't like it, I just wasn't in the right mood for the film. I plan to watch it soon though. It's very anticipated along with Moeibus. I hear Moeibus is totally effed up! haha
I actually do know of Shion Sono, but I haven't gotten round to watching any of his films yet. I've heard Love Exposure is totally bizarre ... which is why I want to watch it! LOL Which one of his films would you recommend first?
Who is Benedict Cumberbatch?
I consider looks, but only when there's nothing else constructive to focus on! :p However, my ideal combination is good looks, damn good looks & TALENT (in caps because it'll always come first in my book).
By the way, did you see our boy Soo-ya in Golden Empire? Wow!

Omg, it's not possible to have more in common. My bf also rolls his eyes at my fangirling! hehe He can't wrap his mind around my Asian obsession. Like most western people he's a cultural snob!
And I can't even muster the interest or energy to start an Asian medical drama. Somehow, with how formulaic Asian series are in general, I don't trust them to deliver. I hate all kinds of politics, including hospital politics. I also hate being around sick people & watching bloody surgeries. If they'd focus more on the relationships like western shows rather than power struggles between the doctors & hospital heads I might have been given them a try, but no.
Trust me I love Kim Ki-duk!!! You too??? What's your favourite film from him? Mine are 3-Iron & Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter ... and Spring. I LOVED In the Mood for Love! I thought plenty happened! I loved how they had an affair without having an affair ... everything about this movie was ART! Down to the very way the characters walked! Honestly, Wong Kar-wei is visual mastermind!
Hehe I hate idols & floor boys. As you will have seen, all my men are grown! I do like the odd few young actors like Jung Kyung-ho who is still in his 20s, but mostly it's guys 36 yrs & over pour moi! :) And it's not just about looks. I find that Asian actors don't seem to mature & come into their own as actors until they're pushing 40. Probably because they exist in an extremely conservative society that infantalizes anyone 35 yrs & under (so even as adults they seem to have the mentality of an adolescent because that's what expected of them). In dramas at least! I hope I'm making sense! :)
