I've seen this and the one on Jiao Zang with Gong Jun/Kris Wu/Xiao Zhan. There was even talk that Deng Lun would play SL. But at the end of the day nothing's confirmed. Personally I don't think YM is into taking so many drama scripts, she's more into movies.

I don't have a problem with plastic surgery. Truthfully it's quite hypocritical for people in the audience to bash actresses because of this because in their natural form people are not interested in them until they get pretty. What I have a problem with is the ones that get it done and say they are more natural than their colleagues.

After watching story of yanxi palace and the story of minglan, I thought that having over 70 episodes would allow the writers to dive deeper into characters and more details. But productions in recent years just have too much filler, so yes I'm in support of 40 episodes for all cdramas.

Pretty much every thing about KW can be associated with pedophilistic behaviour after this scandal. Feel sorry for YZ, she must be somewhere brushing real hard when she thinks of any intimate scenes they might have shot in the golden hairpin. Really wanted to see that drama, but with KW it can never be the same.

When it comes to her you rarely see bad media, instead her fans try to heap blames on the other party first, so no one has the time to think about her role in everything. Poor FSF has had articles published about his being insecure in the marriage and some even dare to imply that he might have cheated. Even the silly ones about his mother looking for a new wife for him as though she had a hand in their divorce. This has become a way of life.

What's really annoying is these self righteous people in the comments that try to act as though they can put their feet in these people's shoes and judge them. They swallow everything the media dishes out to them without chewing.

Sure, her life is so much better being exposed to bad press by her manipulative grandpa and by her attention seeking father that revises scripts in the middle of the night with his female costars in hotel rooms.

There were suspected hostilities between YM and her in-laws. Now that they've broken ties, the old sleaze won't leave YM alone. If he really cared about the relationship between YM and her daughter wouldn't he be taking steps to unite them more often if the other party is being slack about it? Isn't that what the elders are for? Or is all he cares about how many times he and that son of his can Leech of YM's popularity on hot search?

It's quite simple, you can always tell the intentions of the heart behind every action. Does anybody want to pretend that he didn't know all the possible disasters that could have occurred when he did it? Especially in the face of KW and ZS's scandal.

There have been tons of people on and offsite questioning YM's looks and age for this role. But thing is, she's supposed to be giving off the older woman vibe if not the sense to the whole thing is lost. She not an older woman trying to act like a younger woman but an older woman acting like an older woman. So I wish people will stop comparing her to Cheng Xiao.

Why do kdramas always give me strong 2nd lead syndrome

Seems people used to confuse the two in the past too, though I wonder why, the two have very different looks.

Her way of speaking is not "exaggerated" it's just the way her voice is. I'm not Chinese, it's not important to me since I use subs whether her voice is shrill or not. But I saw her in storm eye and it felt perfectly fine. If you can't stand her voice it's better to skip the drama than to end up complaining all the way coz it's not going to change.

Just happy any talk of collaborating with Yang Mi is off the table. But still want to see this.

There is no fathomable excuse for casting actors in this age range for these characters. Even if they were trying to avoid the cluster and traffic of popular actors I'm sure there is untapped young talent waiting for an opportunity to prove themselves. It makes me wonder how young actors are supposed to grow in China when 30-40 year old actors are taking up their roles in the industry.
Anyway concerning the drama, 4 episodes in and the characters lack character and the drama itself feels like a documentary, don't even talk about acting. Will still put this on hold, maybe my appetite for it will come one day.

I don't think dramas are allowed to air over 40 episodes now, it'll probably be less when it's reviewed and airdate is announced

Kinda happy xu kai is getting the attention he deserves, he's my favourite actor in his gen.

Don't mind me, they just sunk a romantic ship by replacing it, which felt out of place.
