episode 1 is such a mixed bag, when comparing to korean or hong kong dramas of such genre. the pace in this drama…
Yikes, Hopefully it's a good sign that things will pick up bcoz when you're flat there's no where else to go but up. As for the romance I anticipated that this drama might suffer a setback since people are seriously anticipating real romance here. On the contrary i think the plot is going to be solid with little tidbits of romance so I'm still excited, especially with the cast.
At the end of the day it's about preference, for me this drama had a unique plot with several arcs, there were…
Yeah I get where you are coming from, when I watch dramas with an expected turn of events, I'm mostly disappointed, that's why I rarely read the synopsis. The title of this drama is misleading and it doesn't help that the original novel had a different plotline.
I think in general anyone watching this drama from the wrong perspective would be disappointed. This drama is not solely focused on the MC kicking butt, winning great victories and getting stronger. 1. The discovery of the MC's true background is not a vital part of this story bcoz she's 3D enough to carry the story or at least that's how i felt when I watched it bcoz when it was unravelled I was surprised that such deep history existed. 2. I believe the sole goal of all the protagonists or what they were all working up to was uniting all the vassal states by settling the unrest in each and this is exactly what they did. 3 There are no wasted characters or events in this drama, everything has it's place and is utilized well. 4 There is a believable balance of powers to keep things interesting, and in all the scheming you can always see the motives behind every plan or action. So when they tell you who loses or who wins you can always nod your head in understanding. 5 The first arc is the longest bcoz that's where the gang meet and begin to see the clear goals that need to be achieved. This is just my subjective view and why I enjoyed the drama so much, for me this is a Nirvana in fire+ten miles of peach blossoms (don't bite my head off), one pure politics the other pure romance and full of chemistry and some humor among all the cast.
Spent 66 episodes waiting for Fuyao to be a badass and it never happened. :( Like the review says, they need to…
At the end of the day it's about preference, for me this drama had a unique plot with several arcs, there were new challenges, new characters and unravelled secrets by each arc. The FL has spunk, humor and most importantly she's free. While I love badass female leads, I can't stand overtly female centric storylines or FLs'. If legend of fuyao is too undertoned for you then you should watch princess agents or the legend (if you haven't already). Most of Zanilia Zhao's dramas might be for you too.
Old Boy and Parasite I thought were over rated. I wasted 2h of my time on Old Boy. Such a shitty ending and storyline.…
Yes old boy had a really shitty storyline especially that climax, but they did a good job of keeping me on a string till the end, as for parasite it's not the best but it was enjoyable
She always do a great job, it's always Yang Mi season.
I feel it's quite unfair the way Yang mi is being treated in China. She obviously put a lot of effort into this performance and has even been praised by some international critics. This movie has a 100% rating from 7 critics on rottentomatoes (which I believe is quite strict) all commending her. But somehow people in her home country still feel the need to completely discredit her which at this point makes you wonder if it still has anything to do with acting or if they just feel biased against her. Maybe if someone else that they popularly love (for every other thing aside from acting) had taken this role they would have written poems and accolades and bedecked her with several awards. Anyway, I hope she gets better opportunities in the future and finally stuffs the throats of all those haters with prestigious awards so they can't help but hear of it even if they were laying in their graves.
i have read the Zheng Shuangs side story now from the blogger and from youtube as well, i hope they all can make…
I might not know much about face adjustments but I know what PLASTIC stuff looks like, and YM ain't got them. I have ridiculously skinny friends with boobs that are too much for them, so I don't think they are unnatural. Besides why would someone get boobs enlarged with pretty non -existent hips left to balance them.
I don't think her acting was good to the point of comparing with MJ talent in singing..... but some of her works…
Sadly, awards have already been retracted. I would have said the backlash would have been less severe in more open minded countries but I just saw this scandal has already hit CNN and is pretty global right now.

I don't have an eye for plastic surgery, but the change in her face seems too drastic to be solely associated with baby fat, I did see a few pictures where her face looked a bit slimmer than this but the proportion of the jaw still looked wide on a level. So maybe a little tweak? And her chin does look a bit sharper right now.
