How do you build up a relationship based on love and support while they both started their respective sport/job and then later say ohhhh it’s cause they are too busy to be together so their love fell apart. What?????? It was their love for each other that supported their ways through as they started those roles.
What love are they trying to protect that they need to break up? If they loved each other so much, it’s more reason to stay together. Unless that love is Minchae….sure, they need to change her name and protect her then. Keep her a secret from the burden of her parent’s names.
So they kissed in 2000 and broke up in 2001. HD has Minchae around 2006-07 and interview is 2009. So you mean to tell me the writers think their relationship (after all that work from episode 1-13) was worth only 1 year of dating? Then she cling on to her feeling for him while marrying some unknown guy and have a child to come back to 2009 to make longing eyes at YJ?
I’ll be so confused if this is the route the writers take because it doesn’t make sense to me. Plus, it would do a disservice to their love story, so I guess their love wasn’t strong enough to overcome whatever it was that pulled them apart. How did this drama went from a nostalgic, light and happy drama with a bit of comedy to a sad and depressing ending? It has started to turn a dark path the last 3 episodes….all our characters are no longer together, separated by career choices. So depressing…..if it’s not Baekdo endgame then I will mentally end the drama at episode 13 with Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk.

I saw her in her other drama and movies, I think with some make up, they could have made her look older and don’t need to use another actress. I mean from 2009 to 2022, she wouldn’t have aged that much. Plus the actress that plays her….her acting is so off. It’s not convincing me enough that it’s the same HD personality. If that’s true then that’s a stupid move. They better come up with a legit reason for the so called break up. Otherwise this break up will just completely overshadow the beauty of this drama. If they are using a break up story then it better be a good one.
Regardless of the ending, I’ll be more sad if we don’t have a proper closure. I hate it when you watch a really great drama and then the ending is like unclear or open to interpretation. Like come on, just end it with a happy ending or a sad one. Don’t give us a vague ending where we have to waste more nights losing sleep over it trying to understand what is the ending all about. With two episodes left and still a few things to clear up like YJ’s family problems, HD and her mom’s relationship, and the whole who’s the husband, I hope the writers doesn’t rush it.
