I just want to apologize to Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk….you guys did an awesome job with your characters. I’m sorry the writer made a crappy ending to this beautiful drama. Now, people who haven’t seen it will never get to see the beauty of this drama from episode 1-mid 15 because the crappy ending ruined it. And those that have seen it, the ending will scarred them to rewatch it again. I’m so thankful to see this drama before the ending, I will skip that last episode. In my mind, HD and BYJ will work it out and be happy together.

THE BYJ IN LAST 2 EPS NOT THE BYJ WE KNOW OR HEE DO KNOW .. LIKE HE CHOOSE CARRER OK CAREER IS IMPORTANT BUT THEY…
I agree….the BYJ and HD we got to know from episode 1-14 would have made it worked. Would have tried their hardest to make it work….it’s like episode 16 are new characters that doesn’t make sense anymore. I’m sorry but that was a crappy ending. BYJ and HD didn’t deserve how crappy their characters were written in the end.

I guess today we are not just saying goodbye to a beautiful drama of friendship and love, but mourning the beautiful love story that got away. So this drama wasn’t about first love to me…..but more about that first love that got away. I understand some first love doesn’t end together but this one does. This love was so deep and pure, all it needed was for the writers to developed BYJ’s internal conflicts more. In the end, I felt like he choose his career over HD. In real life, if one loves someone enough, they overcome the obstacles and work it out instead of running away from it. I’m so sad to know the writers didn’t think it was worth saving this love.

I felt like another drama after episode 16
I felt like the direction of the drama took a different turn after the second half of episode 15. It seems like BYJ has his own internal conflict and I am sad the writer just ended with him walking away from HD like that. What a disappointment.

That ending…..doesn’t justify the person we got to know as HD. She loved BYJ so much, she clung to him till she couldn’t no more. So now the story ended with her married to someone else but still have lingering memories of her first love. Her current husband isn’t in her life as much…..so you’re telling me that the writer end her story as a stay at home mom with an absent husband? And BYJ doesn’t get his own happy ending too while everyone does? The ending doesn’t make sense to me…….I’m so thankful I watched episode 15 last night. I’m just going to end it at that…..no need to watch 16 and get my heart broken. Their love story was endgame for me. Was it so hard to ask for a happy ending writers? Couldn’t you have shown that people do work hard to fight for their love too?

I think the pacing of this is off, I said it before but we spent 14 episodes going through 2 years of their lives…
I agree too….why spent so much time making a beautiful love story, one of so much passion and support only to end with them not being together and her in her present time with someone who isn’t present in her life too? Wasn’t that why they broke up? Because of his job taking too much time away from her that she didn’t want that kind of love. I’m just so confused with this ending. I was going to go back and rewatch the drama again but this just end it for me. It’s too painful to watch their beautiful love story blossom and end like that.

So basically now we have another genre: “the love that got away” 😭😭😭😭

Ahhhhh……I’m sooooo frustrated. The ending just!!!! Why why why????? I didn’t want an open ending like that. So we got nowhere…….excuse me while I go cry my eyes out.

If their love was so strong, why the need for a break up? Why did she still end up marrying someone who isn’t present in her life and works oversea? Isn’t that what BYJ was too? They broke up because of his job taking him away from her. So you’re telling me the writers think it’s not worth them fighting for their love.

I thought it could be after 2019, but I read some people saying that they saw she was 15, so it has to be before…
That’s what I thought too but based on the preview it doesn’t have her yet so I’m thinking she was born after when HD retires from fencing.

While you guys are so focus on them breaking up or not, I’m curious when Minchae will be born. Looks like we will get a clip of the 2009 interview from episode 16 preview. We all thought she was born before the interview but maybe she was born after?

Btw, I’m 100.99% positive it’s Baekdo endgame.

I still think that adult Hee Do having a red car is a sign that Yi-Jin is her husband. That color isn't something…
Yes, same with the rainbow chairs and how Minchae’s ballet shoes were written with her name as “ballerina Kim Minchae” just like how he wrote on HD’s sword as “National Team Member Nam Hee Do”. There are small things that points to him as the husband without being obvious, idk how to describe it. It’s like saying he’s the husband without saying it out loud. Lol…people are so caught up on the whole last name and not recognizing the photo, which is what the writer wants us to get mislead on.

I think you are thinking too hard, BYJ is the husband. Pretty sure of it…
I’m like 99.9% he’s the father. There are sooooo many things that points to him as the father.

Lol, some of you are still scared it’s not Baekdo endgame. If you watch the episodes entirely only once then you won’t notice the clues from the writer. You have to watch it more than once from episode 1 again then you will realize that BYJ has to be the father in the end.

You guys are overthinking it too much…..just enjoy the last two episodes. It’s Baekdo endgame ok….episode 16 is just going to wrap up everything for us but they will be together. Life move on, we grow older and busier so we won’t maintain that innocent youth moments of happiness and excitement without adult worries. That’s what’s this drama is about. Now, their love has move on to adult life now so they will face the issues adult faces. But it’s pretty much Baekdo endgame. Don’t get mislead….stay positive. The writer is consistent…..

Awww this is cute…Minchae get to read mom’s diary and dad has the final chapter. Baekdo endgame is real. Best drama ever!!! KTR and NJH were made for these roles.

Why do they even need to break up, i dont get it. Its not like their parents are not supporting them like heirs…
They have to separate from one another to achieve their dreams, her as a fencer and him as a reporter. They love each other so much but they also recognize that they have their own dreams to accomplish. She still have to train and complete and he cannot come to all her events. Nor can he be there physically for her anymore because has to do his own thing too. So they have to go their separate ways. It’s like this, just imagine she’s going to a new country and he can’t come because he still got to work but they love each other and will support each other until they meet again.

Title Twenty Five Twenty One Spoiler
Don’t worry guys, they will not break up. They will take time apart so she can go enter the trainer’s village to train and complete. He cannot come with her, he has to focus on his own dream of being a reporter. HD is at the peak of her career, BYJ is a promising new reporter. She cannot stay and wait for him at home, she still has to achieve her dreams. He cannot go with her, he has his too. So for the time being, they will separate (not break up) to do their own thing but they will still be each other’s support and love. It’s true, they love each other so deeply that they recognize they have to let each other go to grow and accomplish what they need to do to be successful. Even if it meant not spending every moment together, it’s ok. Their support for each other is so strong already. Remember, the writer has been consistent throughout the drama with how their love story developed, using only words to express their love and support for one another. We see the same wording throughout the drama. Don’t worry, they will come back again in 2006 or so to have Minchae. Now we just wait for the writer to explain how Minchae has a different last name and why BYJ changed his name. This is definitely Baekdo endgame. That pillow talk should be enough to prevent HD from marrying another guy.

Nah it’s a happy ending. IT MUST BE A HAPPY ENDING
I’m pretty confident it’s baekdo endgame now. No way HD will marry some other dude when BYJ loves her that much. Now we just need to wait for the writer to explain to us why Minchae has a different last name when her father is BYJ.

The fact that they love eo and support each other so much its too hard to be together? I kinda see yet I kinda…
I agree…..I’m pretty confident that it’s Baekdo endgame now. No way they give us all those lovely scenes and take it away. Plus, they have to part in order to grow individually because he can’t go with her to train and she needs to focus. But I’m hopeful they meet again and be together. If anything, I’m sure they will cling on to those love words to keep them strong until they meet again. No way HD will be with some random guy when BYJ love her that much.
