I find him fitting role well, how he acts now suits role well. Thous who have seen original drama know about what i talk. Until now his character is young teen who is spoiled and pampered aka it is comical role. Later it gets more serious and THEN we can see does he can act or not.

In that time having more than one wife was normal for royals ans aristocrats - so, no cheating. If you watch drama in historical setting you must take into consideration customs and traditions of that time frame what drama uses.
You dont wonder why they dont ride cars or make mobile calls bc you know that they didnt have thous things in that time, same with norm of having only one wife, they just didnt have that norm in that time.
Btw.this is one problem what main heroine must solve for herself bc she is from modern time like we. :D

Ah, I love this manhwa, it has incredibly gorgeous art!!!

But..... it is very hard one to adapt into live action bc it needs a lot of well made cgi and effects, add here props and costumes what must support story. And all this means gigantic budget.
Acting part is simplest here if they choose good (god) looking actors even with average acting skills - it surely works out.
Sadly cgi part isn't best in Korea, so if they don't get help from some other country....i fear it comes out like second rate production for preteens.

I hope best but fear worst.

Until then i suggest - read original, manhwa. It is worth of your time.

I like how rules are built in this drama and that consequences from breaking thous rules are clearly done. Story logic is very well kept.

Same way i love how some old drama cliches have got new makeup what totally hides old core. Exs. that " all was dream" - it is actually old good amnesia cliche what have annoyed us until death but.....here, in new make up, nobody even didn't noticed. <3

This drama has splendid ground for plot twists. When other "two world" dramas mainly operate with time travel but still with two "actually existing" worlds, then here we have one "RL" world and other world what is totally fictional,creation one of characters ( fiction in fiction), it gives for scriptwriter endless freedom with endless possibilities write itself into corner or fall into fat plot hole. Only smart, logical and clever writer can do this, after watching 9 eps i can say that this drama has one that kind writer.

One thing more what i like - how they have decided make look that manhwa world. Very creative and outcome is fantastic. They added contrast, so colors are deeper and brighter, lines sharper, you can make difference without any text notice or other marker. Settings and props, plus costumes support thous two worlds very well.

From all you can see and feel that this drama was carefully planned, every detail was looked up. So it isnt miracle that they managed get superb cast play roles ad actors really fit their roles, even supporting and tiny ones.

I hope they keep it up.

p.s. One thing more - this drama makes audience build theories,speculate and debate, not just typing empty emotional one-two word comments or only hyping about actors hot and sexy looks and abs. :P

This movie is way better than i expected. Cute plot and good acting + very good animation and effects.

For me there was only one question what didnt get answer, all other issues had their answers. And that question is- from were San get his blood into that "inhalator"? Maybe they told this but i blinked at that moment :P

All this drama was all about vampires and there was plenty of them, maybe you just didnt recoqnised them. There was swarm of them in dance club, in bars and night shops and nearly all thous "bodyguards" and maffia look a likes a.s.o.
This drama showed to us how vampires society was build, how they managed to survive and keep low profile and not to draw public attention on itself. How they use fear and misfortune of people, how they make money and get their food flow. It isnt thous all old golden times when vampires lived in dark castles or lurked around to deveour young maidens while enjoying superpower,endless life and making creepy-weird minions but still suffering from royal boredom and loneliness.
They show that modern vampires do it in modern way, have businesses, make money and their minions are like maffia guys now. What is same is ....loneliness and finally getting bored from all it.

Bad blood aka evil blood is one vampire who is "original" source for all vampires in this story. He reminds most old time vampires and has beast like personality. Other vampires are descendants of him and are more or less "corrupted" by human ways.
I loved this angle what they gave to story, it is freash. Just look 12 episodes of vampires jumpig on people at night in parks or on dark streets and detectives turning into vampirehunters.....it would have been "same old, same old" and deeply boring.
There are a tons of B and F list movies out with this kind script.

Time skips can be annoying sometimes bc they usually are used like deus ex machina or bow to some morals and bit old beliefs. But sometimes thous time skips are ok. For me in VD it served main story and was good introduction for next season...if it comes.

About Gyeo Wools brother....there was all told what is can be told: how he got to be vampire, what he was doing and how he died. He tried find cure for vampirism bc his girlfriend, he was supported by YN who hoped that this might help her get back her lover. Why they dont tell this to GW? Too cruel to tell her that her brother died second time bc of her....if she wouldnt been there, if she wouldnt got captured, if she wasnt been in danger....her brother might been still alive like vampire.
So all them kept her in dark, even about San's situation bc he become "undead" bc of her when he rescued her from bullet and her brother gave him that shot.
There isnt a lot tell about San's vampire life....that "failure" doctor made tests, they give him that similar to inhalator thing, he lived his life like before...he just didnt eat with them anymore.Only question what i have is - whom blood he was drinking from that inhalator? Was it from doctors sources or not, was it real human blood, animal blood or something similar to it? He got some powers, they show to us all of them : see past thru blood ( somethig similar to VP) have physical power boost and super regeneration. He got cured from his bullet damage. But in general he didnt change, his personality and goals are same and seems he doesnt like use his new abilities but prefers doing things in "human way". It all is opposite to his former "friend" .
Time skip doesnt bother me...it was clear that show to us nearly empty year when they try to find San.....would been boring. So tiny dialog to sum up all events within year is enough and show us that things start moving again is hint that there could be second season in some form.
Ending for me fitted this story well and i liked this drama. :)

Title of drama is Vampire Detective not Amazing Trio and Vampire Detective. San was main character - so this ending is must. Trio was supporting characters so to give them final fight....it isnt logical.

Evil blood is from VP, he was that first, original one. That USb on ground is enough evidence that Yo Na is dead, she dies with her lover.
What more emotions you expect from San after seeing him desperately shouting and then sitting lifelessly on floor....
Gyeo Wool is telling to others in the end scene that she knows where San is and they go with her to him.

So in the end there are strong hints for sequel and maybe this sequel has more VP in it bc ending episode opens possibility to it. I really hope that there is 2 season.

First i didnt get how VD relates to in general story what started in VP and VP2 but I think i figured it out somehow and i really hope they go that way.
In VP they show how first vampire was made and spread of vampirism. And it was that old golden "vampire rule" what was used. Evil, bloodthirsty and arrogant....yet with sad story. And few ones who rebelled against it.
In VD they showed to us that there might be some cure or something like that.We still dont know how it works or its cost bc all things come with prize. Maybe in last ep of VD we see it, maybe not.
But in VD we have seen how vampirism is made into trivial business.It still can be views in metaforical way in our nowday society. And other thing....now there are included usual average humans aka helpers, people who are lured into that business to save loved ones.

If you ask where is that metafor now....then think about person who has failed in life and is now in deep depth and ones who are willing to help them and sign papers for loan with them like guarantees. Loan sharks have grown into legal banks..

But in core it is still about humans selfishness,greed, desirees and instincts...just in modern way.


So, general frame story develops nicely and has potential for more sequels and spin-off's.

Both dramas share same "universe" aka they happen in same place and in same timeline. VP and VP2 are happening before VD.
They made one cameo to proof it. So there is still possibility to have next drama what is sequel to one or other..or for both of them.

I believe they can wrap up San's story nicely but vampire issue in general ....it gets open ending. It is ok bc if they do it nicely there is possibility to make opening for VP3 ....maybe even with VD2. I dream about it. Imagine both leads working together.....bliss. But it is just mine dream.

It is clear that there must beone who is cause of this all, first one who bit. I hope it brings story back to VP bc there we saw who " original one" is.
Even if Yo Na bit ones who we saw in VD ....someone out there was who killed her family and made her vampire.
Story now leads us step by step to somewhere were beginning was...at least i hope so.
First it was blood tradeing line, now it goes to money and secrets. Someone has build undeground empire .....
Lets watch until end.

I think wait until VD ends. For now it already had one tiny moment and cameo but maybe they try to connect thous two dramas more in next/last episodes.
VD is bit different from VP by style and story.

I agree with MinaVIP. Intro into main story was maybe bit too long but we got to know from what kind issues all this was grown out, how it developed into situation what makes main leads act like they do. Bc there was so lot of it, it looked bit too messy but if you keep watching it all starts make sense and becomes logical. So there was solid plot from start, just ground was too wide to show it in one go. / similar to camera what can show to you only what is in front of you and you cant see what is going on behind your back, so camera needs to turn but same time you lose sight what is in front of you and can only have glance onto sides a.s.o. it is bit simplified explanation but..../
So if you skip some scenes from the beginning....you might be confused later. This drama isnt for fast forward button :D
