Whatched it raw, still dont know is it good ending or not.
Still this last episode gave me a lot of material for thoughts. I will be rewatching with subs to get final feel before I let go from this story....if i can :D

I agree....it isnt mainly romcom, light and silly with rich boy and big eyed naive girl. I loved how they dismissed that kind plot development, it was very smart move.
Mainly this drama is about something else...it isnt light weight and spoon feeding. You need use brain and focus.
Never though that this drama can become dumber than it already was, but I guess the writer is doing her best to…
W is many times more clever than Liar Game, at least until now, writing is really smart. Im huuuge fan of sci-fi and fantasy genre \books, movies, magas etc.\ and i injoy it more than Liar Games. They are very different but with LG i was able to predict a lot of events but here, despite knowing rules, I cant predict what happens next. All what happened until now has followed inner rules and logic, nothing is off or just deus ex machina. Writer havent written itself into corner not once.
So i pray that ending doesnt ruin this dram, that they just dont give in what audience wants but keep up what they are doing.
But this is just mine point of view.
I like it but it's too over rated on MDL. People need to check out the original. The Main actress there SLAYED…
I think it is up to personal preferentses a lot...I wasnt impressed by acting of main actress in chinese version. I watched original until end bc i wanted to be prepared for korean version.
But like i said - it is up to taste and personal preferences. For mine taste IU suits character better and SHR has better story tempo.
There have been one rule if you noticed - they can jump from world to world IF there is same place in both...... add this rule to persons\characters and think WHO are characters who can jump and who aren't.
If places have doubles in W world aka prototypes....i think people might have too, at least lead\main characters.
People from real world if they aren't regular characters in W world have god like abilities - they cant be harmed by events in W world but after they become regular characters - W world affects them same than real world - they can be killed and harmed.
People from manhwa start disappear if they aren't needed for story line anymore , first in W world, then in real world too....bc they are too invested emotionally into W world they start to disappear from world were their emotions aren't so strong, were link is weaker to inner reality.
Characters in drama who have stronger will to lead their life itself can do it and they can summon other characters into W world or real world.
I think if we sum up thous phenomenas: doubles, will and investment - we get last episode.
BUT this is mine speculation, writer might think differently :D
p.s. Somehow all this drama makes me think about creators and actors of dramas and movies. How invested they sometimes get and how they lose itself to story and characters, sometimes it gets very serious. I have read and seen interviews with actors and writers\creators who tell about this issue and how hard coming back to reality is.
I have watched nearly all Kimuras dramas and movies what are findable online. Some old ones are really hard to find but if you know at least littlebit russian - they have some amazing asian dram websites with old stuff.

Hahaha...poor you, it makes hard to watch ANY asian historical drama or movie bc of this - all royals and aristocrats then had many wives and concubines aka they cheated royally :P

Btw. I strongly recommend to you movie Hotel Venus with one SMAP member in main cast and others making cameo, it is old but very unique and...has few surprise actors. NB! LJK fans, he has one nice role there.
