So I am a child of the nineties and I grew up watching my mom read tons of doctor nurse mills and boons. So I don’t know what to think of this drama … it’s as old a trope as rich ceo and poor woman. And this is Yoon Won Jin’s second doctor role. I did like the other one called married not dating. This one I don’t know.
The losing his powers concerns me a little. I hope we get to see him use his powers throughout the show. Doing…
I agree with you. I also don’t want him to be a fluffy rabbit. He is supposed to be a demon so there have to be negative emotions like anger, manipulation. They cannot pinkwash this please. So far nothing in his persona says a demon it’s just a pink lipstick dude.
romance genre doesn't suit song kang so far so i hope he is improve already for this drama
I actually liked nevertheless so I think he suits more dark intense look not the pink lipstick pretty boy looks. I agree with you that I don’t want this drama to be fluffy. Then it will tank since he cannot do fluffy roles convincingly
Is it me or the male lead appeared a bit passive here. He was so much more emotive in the temperature of love. In that drama there is a scene where he and the female lead came back running and he asks her out. That scene still gives me goosebumps. Here he was almost not so present.
if FL Die, I'm okay.If SML Die, I'm okay. But If ML Die, I'm not okay (why do I feel that.)
I want a drama where the female lead dies in heroic action. Why should men get all the glory. The last time I saw was in “Courage under fire” by Meg Ryan, she was a real hero in that movie. Another favourite is based on a true story called Neerja. If something similar happens here I will appreciate the drama creators for doing something different. They should make it hard hitting and impactful where she dies saving people.
You are in luck, because it is not, in fact, a teacher-student romance. It is a mature romance melodrama between…
It won’t be a teacher romance, but it will have a lot of angst due to that reason. The director specialises is making relationships which are to be “frowned upon” within the drama universe. And sometimes these romances don’t even get a happy ending. For be forewarned
What’s the wrong with FL's mom?I mean, her daughter earn a decent amount. And she pays her credit card bills…
I think the daughter was very judgemental that’s why. She did not realise the struggle that people who have no Maloney have to deal with all their lives. She came across as someone who throws treats to a dog and had no respect for her mom. She realises this at the end.
Kim Yoo Jung is my favourite youngster actress. Zhao Lusi is too one note (but she is super beautiful), Esther Yu too screechy. Like goldilocks and the three bears story, KYJ is just right. Pretty, acts well and does not behave like a child in her dramas, she has a natural gravitas. Only problem is, I think her health suffers when she does dramas too often. Which is why we have not seen her much. Will check out this drama for her. For Song Kang, hope he ditches the hot pink lipstick. He can act well when he does not have to look pretty. Both Sweet Home and Navillera were amazing.
Love this love this drama. It’s so adorable. The tiny dog is so cute. I must say though at this point the cute doggie is emoting and acting better that CEW. I like CEW so don’t mind it though.
I loved your review. I agree. The whole drama was whitewashing autism. It did not share the struggles or the pain at all. Everything was brushed under a carpet. Similarly the frustration of the father and his struggles were also not mentioned. I have friends whose siblings are autistic and I have seen how the parents struggle. This drama reminds me of late nineties sanitary napkin ads in India where the models used to whisper, they only showed blue Colors and flower imagery was shown.
As a non celebrity, I wonder how to get close to a celebrity.. HahahaOnly thing I can think of is plots from detective…
I think it’s more like similar people convene and network together. It would be hard to socialise with someone with whom you don’t have a common connection with usually. I stay in a foreign country and I have the same problem. Unless I have a local who introduces me to a local person, it would be difficult for me to meet people. I usually meet people who are foreigners like I am. All these dramas where they show it’s full of serendipitous coincidences where people come into contact. It’s not always a rich poor divide. It’s just siloed communities especially in Asia. So yes meeting a celebrity would be difficult. Unless you are in a marketing role with an FMCG company or personal banker for HNIs. There you will meet a lot of celebs especially if you in “branding”. Quite a few of my MBA classmates who went into marketing and banking keep meeting celebs all the time.
