So I am an avid book reader and a drama watcher. For me hype really helps for dramas because I know exactly which dramas to avoid. šš. Overhyped dramas just have two things 1) very beautiful and young actresses, handsome actors (age no bar) 2) Amazing cinematography with beautiful scenes. Basically all fluff and almost no substance. On the other hand I always go for hyped books because I find books which are hyped have amazing disability , diversity rep (fourth wing), interesting stories (Stromlight archive), beautiful characters and character growth (all Jane Austen books).
This is a CCTV urban workplace drama so intimate scenes are minimal
I agree with you to be honest. I am an Indian who watches a lot of Pakistani dramas, which have to adhere to strict religious guidelines. At most the leads only hold hands, and very occasionally would there be a hug. But the looks are smouldering, the way they gaze at each other can be hot. One never doubts that the leads love each other. One can show great chemistry, passionate even without showing any physical contact. In this drama, it lacked all of it. They just seemed like I donāt know so staid and boring. There was zero chemistry or fire. They both felt like 120 year old grannies with each other.
Why would anyone willingly chose to be a monster? Anyways I suspect there is no happy end to this series. But I would love it, I am tired of cliche stories having a non happy ending makes it thrilling and high stakes
I hate best friends to lovers trope. But since I really like the leads will give it a go. There has been not a single shin hye sun project (other than 19 lives) and many JCW projects which is liked. Hope this is not super cliche like beloved summer. Fingers crossed.
š¤ this drama kinda caught my attention at ep1 but subsequently I lost interest. I get the vibe but I couldnāt…
I am liking it. Off late all dramas have male lead who are at least 10/12 years older such as my dearest, so this is a welcome change. So far the female lead has been great in portraying the expressions of a depressed person. The male lead is good too. What I did not like was the lame physics equations given. I had to fast forward those 15/20 mins since I got a bit annoyed. Rest of the drama is quite good.
no female main lead !? I think we will at least get a female support lead or the cast will be updated
I am happy with this to be honest. I would rather have no female lead than someone who is a decade younger, which is the trend with all k dramas these days.
The drama is really good but I can't get pass the FL expression. I get it, that FL is supposed to be a depressed,…
Some introvert personality types can be like that. She has nailed it well. One of the main signs of depression or neurodivergence could be lack of expressions when communicating. Autistic people do that. Also people suffering from depression do that a lot. If you talk to a depressed person they could look completely fine from outside, but occasionally it feels like you are talking to a wall. She has nailed that āI am numb but I will still try to fight against lifeā look very well.
