he was a mad king....making excuses for him won't chnage that. he enabled those around him to fight and kill eachother...he even enabled his son to kill his brother, killed another one of his brother, killed that princess who saves his life, poision, kill, enable that's all he did behind the seen. H was most definitely mad and verybody knew it but covered it up...

He still covered up for a murderer.....the simplest way to resolve the issue had they not want to publicize it was to have him abdicate under the guise of illness or something else. The king was still very fairly new in taking the throne, his network wasn't yet as big and even so keeping a mad king to rule simple because you want to prevent chaos as been in the dummies decision made base on the recent events. Because of that decision looked at how many died? Look at how many came to seek revenge...It's not has hard as you think to get a king to abdicate once the whole court is in agreeance as well as the general public. They were wrong and her father and prince jin were no victims. they reap what they sowed trying to protect something that need not protection. They died because of that decision. ion know why they thought they would've survive given the kings previous actions.

I'm so confused....So her father and prince Jin did cover up a murder....It simply does not matter why he had to do what he did, there were several other ways he could've resolved. He probably would've died either way but aleats the truth wouldn't have been covered up until now. I'm 100% sure that if he had spready the news through the capital and rural areas far and wide, they could've atleast had him usurp/abdicate cause literally no one would've been on his, the king side. the court would've turned against him, the people would've turned against him that would've force the hands of the empress dowager....Either way I haven't reach the ending yet so i'm sure if there's more to the story but her father as well as Prince Jin were wrong base on the part i've sen so far.

The king murdered killed people, poison people, and enable others to kill eachother...That mf'er was definitely mad out of his mind and what did those around him do? they left his ass untouch....espite knowing how God awful he was they left him untouch for their own sweet benefits or under the guise of preventing chaos. This ultimately led too many people to their early demise for me to agree in any shame or form that what Prince Jin and Shen Yi did was the correct decision. Every single big name in court had a clique of supporters behind them but no efforts were spared to try and eleminate the threat. And because of this just like dominoes several of the unfolding events were cause by that past decision. None of them were innocent, all deserve what happened to them since there decision unknowinly cause the death of several innocent. Ya'll argue amongst ya'll self, i'll just be blocking folks, and no it isn't because we don't share the same opinion either. I know all the actresses and actors especially the side characters who has played more than one roles, they just haven't acted together except from the general and ML. I,MYSELF still think they look alike/similar nothing to do with whether their memorable or not!

Ummm....I might be misunderstanding you but I was simply referring to natural features such as facial structure and body size/shapes. It is also true thouh that the depictions aren't necessarily accurate but at the same time Asians naturally do not carry alot of body hairs so they get a pass

this is gonna soun so racist and i promise ya'll i'm really not tryan be but....Why does everybody looks so...similar... The side characters I mean, bruh I could've sworn I saw several people playing different roles but I know that can't be. The empress dowager and the grand aunt looks so similar it was only after seeing them both in the same place did i realize it wasn't the same actress

I honestly feel like this is being judge too harshly, from the very first episode it’s obvious that it’s mean to be light hearted romance with a bit of fantasy/supernatural. I felt that they stayed on theme and kept the pace really well for the story to flow evenly without missing too much details from the webtoon. It’s obvious this wasn’t made to be an “award winning” series too; in a sense where I don’t think it’s meant to be brilliant or give that WOW effect but still had the right amount of sauce for fans of the webtoon as well as the actors/actress to fawn over and enjoy. I think we got just the right enough of fillers, romance, mystery and fantasy, FOR ME, it was balanced really well. A solid 8.3/10!

Listen at the first sign of second hand embarrassment in episode one I close my laptop and turn on the other side and just started scrolling instagram for something else to be recommended. You not finna make me cringe for several hours just cause I like you!
