You didn't know the director??You didn't read the highlights for This drama either??? All your question is already…
What are you even saying….. the actress doesn’t have a “long” track record of successful drama especially because she’s still basically a rookie. The ML does have a successful drama however that’s it. Both of these people haven’t played any characters with hardcore personalities or to match a similar writing style these characters were written in. If you know anything about the original author and how they write their characters and stories then you’ll get why I’m worried they didn’t choose more experienced actors for these lead roles. Not saying a rookie doesn’t deserve a chance but I don’t think this is the time to experiment. I really hope the directors do their big one as well cause most time it’s not only the actors fault why things go wrong.
I really hope the leads, writers and directors do this story justice. So far the two previous adaptations of Guan Xin Ze Luan were successful so I truly hope the writing doesn’t suck or the actors do terrible jobs portraying the characters Especially female lead. I’ve seen a few of her works and though her acting isn’t bad it didn’t stick out to me either and knowing how Guan Xin Ze Luan writes…..you most definitely need to be able to excel; The male lead also isn’t mad but he’s also nothing special. I’m worried
I’m not saying this because one of my favorite actors pass but because I genuinely believe Korea has a problem. This is very very serious! Actors both young and old keep ending their life. Like these are people who are married and potentially happy with their families so gives no second thought at ending it all after making a mistake/causing an accident. I ofcourse have no remorse for the people who drive under the influence especially when they have the means to higher a substitute but I genuinely do not believe it’s a mistake worth dying over unless it’s a life for a life. There families can’t even receive insurance money since it’s suicide.
My condolences to his family. But I believe this genuinely needs to stop. The suicide rate is way too high there. More people are killing themself than that of babies being born
This was a really good drama. I just wish they had made the punishment for the villains more satisfactory. Contrary to popular believes I'm so glad this was a sad ending. Their slow burn romance was one of the best I've seen yet. The relationship with the princess kinda threw me off though. With an emperor like that I seriously do not understand how Great Xiyan survive for that long; that nigga is just stup!d
This is pissing me off way more when you think about the fact that these people have managers that can take them to and from their locations, and if they require some privacy outside company scrutiny they literally can call a substitute driver. It's literally recommended for the bars/club they're drinking at to ensure the guest don't leave on their own and actually leaves with a sub to take them home. It's literally not that hard to sit and wait until you're sober up before leaving. They simply do not care for other people's life on the road and for that I have zero sympathy for these people!
What do you say when a 17-year-old rapes a girl? Is he innocent too? She's of university age and knows right from…
THIS IS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT!!! if they’re excused or given leniency it’s always because the law isn’t on the side of the victims and women overall it’s almost never really about age!! Just misogyny.
You replying to every comment saying that she’s of university age won’t change the fact she’s being exploited. You’re a weirdo and I hope you change! Good bye
What do you say when a 17-year-old rapes a girl? Is he innocent too? She's of university age and knows right from…
What does knowing right from wrong as has to do with Ai Mi who is under a contract under a company prohibiting her from choosing most of her own works? I keep asking if you’re slow and I don’t know why I keep doing that when it’s obvious you are. The Brain eating bacteria must be starving in your empty skull. Furthermore you’re saying a 17 year old knows right from wrong? Sure they do however that doesn’t mean they’re developed enough to make conscious decisions that are in their best interests. Some might be others not so much. Like a young girl dating a 40+ year old man thinking she’s inlove when she’s basically being preyed on! Like a 13 year old gay boy thinking that man he met online is gonna leave his wife for him when he’s really just a pedophile!
What do you say when a 17-year-old rapes a girl? Is he innocent too? She's of university age and knows right from…
Are you slow? She is not independent. She’s under a company under a contract that picks projects for her. Most of these dramas don’t go through audition but were matched base on her previous acting performances in past shows. Quit talking to me you freaking dimwit. You’re talking nonsense as if it’s not clear as day what they’re doing to this lil ass girl. Do you know how C-netizen mainly middle age men/jealous middle age women will prey on this baby if they turn her into a “sex symbol” with all these extremely older men along with the slightly R-rated scripts? (for her age couples with the MLs)
If they truly wanted to protect this child they would’ve started her in lead roles that are age appropriate. Nobody said she couldn’t explore romance genre just not with these scripts and MLs…..she’s far too young. I don’t think people understand how much her little mind will be expose to if they continue like this. They did exactly the same thing to Sulli
What do you say when a 17-year-old rapes a girl? Is he innocent too? She's of university age and knows right from…
You’re such a fuxking weirdo for this comment. She’s 17, a teenager, a child. Committing a crime at any age still makes it a crime, juvenile offenders exist!!! what does that have to do with the industry exploiting a young girl when they’re way better options? Why can’t I call a child a child? It’s funny you mention rape when the topic of conversation here is about the entertainment industry exploiting an underage girl for clicks and attention
Loved it ..Finished it the day it got over AND STILL HERE...BECAUSE OF WITHDRAWL SYMPTOMS. That's just how good…
Gurl…..I really don’t care honestly. I clearly listed all my points. I did not random start nitpicking. While the romance was good it was “common”…. Romance with good chemistry isn’t nothing new. And yes so are the other subplots i mentioned however these subplots are less often used compare to the other office romance
I haven't finished the drama yet but I think the 8.9 rating came about likely because, despite the simple storyline,…
If I can’t make it through the first segment of a drama I just don’t watch🤷🏾♀️. Makes zero sense especially when it’s not a time skip where they change the actors. I wouldn’t and couldn’t in good faith rate the drama properly. I haven’t watched always home. If it’s a case where the first view episodes were just slow I would’ve understood but that’s not the case. It was just unwatchable through and through with how thirsty they made her appear. As a female it threw me all the way off. I cannot watch women shamelessly pursuing men. But they’re shows/drama I dropped in the first half because they’re slow and then picked them up back later on when I’m in a drought. I remember hating the story of Ming Lan and the legend of Shen Li😭😂. Then later became two of my favorite rewatches.

When I fly towards you was unbelievable cringe. I could not sit through that. Those kind of drama are for new Asian drama fans to enjoy. I like shows with depth. And as mentioned before….my critique is base on the totality of the drama. This isn’t just a romance drama they added several other genres; mystery and thriller and they introduced other side plots which were not under-baked and underdeveloped. I feel like all the effort was put into the romance aspect which left so many gaps for the other characters apart of the side stories.
I really don’t want to sound like a party pooper but this is a severely overrated show…. Love the leads down but the story was lackluster. To be honest I think they had a whole lot going on with the different aspects of the story and they didn’t maximize on it.
I believe there should’ve been a segment specifically focus on the virtual game in the first few episodes and I mean REALLY focus on the game not just showing us scenes of the ML. Also the backstory of ML father needed way better handling. They added mystery and thriller to the genre and didn’t explore or maximize on it at all. Pei zhen character was wasted as well as Huai Cong and Xiao Rou.
As a stand alone Office Romance without the side stories this is a solid 8.5/10. However I just can’t look past them adding these extra side details/stories and not taking full advantage of it. They claimed Zhi Yu moved away shortly after his father’s death and it showed that he and Pei Zhen were on good terms as kids what made them grew sour against each other? It obviously cannot be only because Pei zhen wanted a win for himself. The gaming system obviously build around some similar events in Zhi Yu life yet we never really get to see the game played out. The Ieads were also suppose to be in architecture and engineering….i ain’t seen much of that taking place. And obviously the romance is the main story I get that they did a good job on that however they didn’t do well with all the other aspects of the storytelling.
And before a ðúmbąßß haeux tell me that they don’t see the issues I’m seeing THAT IS YOU, THIS IS ME. for a drama with a near perfect rating I need a near perfect performance and storytelling🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️…
Everyone is different though. MDL seems to prefer plot driven stories but I like character driven stories so for…
This conversation is over. Watching solely for the plot and choosing to sit through terrible acting or watching solely because of your favorite actor/actress or watching solely because you think a certain actor excel at their job makes you the S-word. All of these things are on equal levels/footing. Every single time once is considered more than another even with high ratings from each specific fandom the critique will always delve into these shortcomings. Doing stuff like that does not help the actors/actresses, writers, producers or directors at all. They’ll continue releasing slop and sooner to later they’ll begin to lose drastically. Do whatever you want with your life though. But as for me I’m through with this garbage.
The number of idol dramas that gain acclaim overseas to that of regular shows/movies is literally less than 1%. List idol dramaS then compare their ratings and viewership to that of the others. Furthermore this specific point has nothing to do with love and crown specifically . It is an overall critique I see for almost all if not all of the dramas that has a deal with western streaming platforms
Everyone is different though. MDL seems to prefer plot driven stories but I like character driven stories so for…
If people simply watch a show/movie because an actor can act(which all of them should be able to do….that’s literally their jobs….) then there would be no need for creative writing and difference in script. The base in creating a good movie or tv show is making sure you choose actors that will be able to properly portray the onscreen characters and bring life to the script likewise the bases of the story needs to be solid so that the actors can do their jobs effectively. A Good script/writing and good acting aren’t interchangeable they go together!
If the writing is ass what exactly are you watching? And what exactly are you enjoying? How is it a gem when the story so trash? At this point you’re only watching to support your favorite actor or actress not to support the show overall. By doing this you’re not helping them grow or choose better in who they work with. The market isn’t as empty as you’re trying to make it. They’re reasons why certain actors and actresses aren’t getting booked with certain directors. Less versatility, less connections, booking conflict etc
The west does not enjoy idol dramas…..og Asian drama fans and even newer fans fell inlove with how the pacing differ from the west and the unique way of storytelling. Look at all the very big Asian movies that blew up overseas and tell me which one of them were idol dramas? None of them. It is only after (recently in like the last 2-4 years) these western streaming platforms increase investments and started to have more say on whats put out to make their investment fruitful did we start getting slops! Check out all the recent Netflix/disney original Asian shows from now and compare it to one that was released back then when they just started. The quality has severely depleted
I’m sorry. These comments are frying WHAT DO YOU MEAN watch for the acting and not for the plot??? Are you people okay upstairs?? Please I implore you….no matter how much you love an actor or actress DO NOT fight yourself to sit through a show with terrible plot. This? Is terrible through and through. They don’t know what the writers didn’t know what to write so I guess they had ChatGPT do the work for them hence we go this slop.
Ya’ll keep supporting these absolute garbage excuse of a show that’s why these directors and writers won’t take a step back to improve their craft. Another thing too I notice it is always the dramas they’re putting on western platforms to ponder. We’re losing the plot and essence of what Chinese cinema should be; instead they’re making shows to meet quota and feed investments. Give it two years from now and we’re gonna lose all the unique factors of Chinese/Korean dramas that made us stayed up until 6:00 am to watch.
I'm only gonna say this once.....we really really need to keep the west away from Asian media. 90% if not more of these recent shows that goes through western fingers; and needed their sign off on it has been nothing but commercial base. The genre says it's suppose to be Comedy and Romance.....WHY THE ABSOLUTE FUK HAVE I NOT SWOON OR LAUGH ONCE??????????
The whole essence of "Kdrama" as we knew it is completely gone, jumbled or simply misplaced. This show had so much potential but the more i watch the more mess it became.
Western input/sign off to these new k-shows are exactly what AI is to the environment to put it simple. It's nothing but money grabs that keeps repeating itself. I'm tired, this is not the kdrama I grew up on.
I missed having to fight off ads telling me Suzy that's three miles away and wants to give me a bl0w-j0b....Now that watching Chinese/Korean has been increasingly accessibly outside of piracy the quality of the shows are now paying for it.
I don't think people understand that the whole reason why the world fell in love with Asian media in the first place is exactly because of his unique essence that Americanized shows just cannot convey.
We're losing the plot; we're losing the war against capitalism. BHADD. You can feel that the writers aren't in control here. instead of freely writing, it's obvious they're trying to force a hot show using identical route as previous shows. the thing is it feels more like they're taking pieces from several different shows of different genres and engulfing it into one.
this show was just a big commercial to put it in simple terms. this could've easily been the next "kill me, heal me" or "it's okay that's love" actually we didn't have to go the mental illness route either. This could've easily been a winter romcom...That's at least what the trailer was giving. I guess not!
My condolences to his family. But I believe this genuinely needs to stop. The suicide rate is way too high there. More people are killing themself than that of babies being born
