I don’t know about anybody else but I’m not blind towards the message the show is trying to convey. However…
I don't quite understand why you can't see why this is happening. Humans are fickle...Judge not and he shall not be judge or whatever the bible verse says. Basically she's being held at an higher regards since she put herself in the open. As viewers unless portrayed from the very beginning as grey are normally expected to be near perfect in their behavior so far her to be a cheater who goes on punish....It draws the attention from the main issue. As said before had they make her face retribution then the audience wouldn't be hell bent on it. It's in a sense where she's punishing wrong doers here but she herself (though not as bad and disgusting as the criminals she punish) is also a wrong doer however she received no real punishment. Now everyone is seeing the show as pretentious and only will target to punish a certain type of demography It's more so in the pretext of why is she an exception to punishment?

No that’s not what I’m saying. Ofcourse she has a right however her being a cheater draws the attention away from her doing a good deed here. It’s like a sinner acting like they’re above another sinner. The message becomes lost when the messenger is tainted. I have two different views on this show. I quite enjoy the message they were sending to the audience. Anybody who knows me knows I always advocate for victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence. MAYBE MY TWO PREVIOUS COMMENTS WEREN'T CLEAR ENOUGH but it was a direct reply to the comment section and why they were more focus on FL cheating then her bringing criminals to justice.

Title Unveil: Jadewind Spoiler
This was really good and I really love how she got to execute her revenge using the same method the Chancellor had used to kill her father. I kind of wish they gave us a wedding scene to wrap everything up though. Also the last few scenes with all survivors and family members of the victims was such a nice touch. The only thing about this I didn't like was how she favored some criminals over others. I understand she has a heart and sympathy should be given but I believe that justice should be blind. It should be objective and impartial. But hear me out, I'm gonna sound so contradicting here lol.....I think sometimes you need to take matters into your own hands, the law isn't able to bring certain people to justice unless you bend it. So though I believe judging should be impartial I understand people who takes matter into their own hands too.

Opinions should be objectives however your comparison shows bias. How are you going to compare two different shows under two different genres? If you enjoy How dare you then speak on in MDL has a page dedicated to it. Why come here talking about a romance fantasy and how better it was? What’s the correlation? You’re so so weird. If you made an objective critique base on what happens in the show and why you didn’t like it then I wouldn’t leave my reply to you. Mind you I have dropped this show twice already and have already left like two or three comments critiquing what I don’t like about it and none of my comments had anything to do with specific actors/actress btw……I’m saying you need to be objective in your criticism/critique. It’s understandable to not enjoy the show but making an unreasonable comparison makes zero sense

How dare you was 10x better, i dropped this at episode 23 i feel like its being dragged on…like who is the villain/mastermind…
What a good thing How dare you and Unveil: Jadewind are two different genre focus on two separate things. This is literally mystery thriller....How dare you is Romantic comedy....Why are you looking for the same feel here? If you're unable to follow along with the case and solve them together, if being kept guessing isn't your thing then obviously you were watching the wrong show. The bases of the show is to solve case, that's very very obvious from the very first episode and if you couldn't catch on then you should've notice at the third case. FL family massacre is just the typical protagonist life backstory every show have, hers just seem to fall withing her scope of work. Of course it's objectively the best show but your comparison literally do not make any sense. you're just talking shii for no reason.

Also, she did unauthorized autopsies in a very cruel manner! She could have asked FL, taken permission from her…
I really think her heart was in the right place however she was terribly misguided and suffer from a complex. It stopped being about her being a woman and more so about her thinking she’s above and better than everybody else at what she does. That coupled with the brother constant acts of “kindness” really made her more twisted. Though she knew and felt in herself it was wrong she just didn’t and couldn’t stop him until it went too far. There was nobody else standing in her part but the person identity she’s now using ultimately The real Pei Yu ended up turning into the last and final obstacle standing in Ying’s way which cause him to eliminate himself to once again have Ying make a break through. Great doctor but her mind was twisted real bad.
On Unveil: Jadewind Feb 23, 2026
First it was her wanting to willingly cover up for the princess...Now it's them granting Pei Yu/Ying special pardon. Very partial and misguided. They're victims as much as they're sinners. You can acknowledge the fact the world as wrong them but still have them rightfully punished.

Pei Yu knowing her foster brother has gone on a rampant serial killing but didn't report him? you're a physician for God sakes... you knew he wouldn't stop killing until there was no one to stand in your way and you knew he would stop and start again had any more obstacles arise. Watching your Best friend losing himself to make sure you're happy didn't drive you to insanity? I don't care what anybody say she should've never been pardon, she is very twisted. Pardoning her only gave her a easy way out to kill herself without real punishment. Yes she's a talent...Help honed other talents from jail. let them come see her there for advise!

The master did not deserve to die, he literally did nothing wrong more than try to protect her in his own way after she committed a capital offense. That specifically had nothing to do with her being a woman, it was a capital offense regardless since it was done unauthorize. Yeah Yeah she did it to find a cure I get that....still does not erase the fact it was a crime and all the Master wanted to do was have her run away before she was discovered.

After Xia Shi San killed him that's when she should've put a stop to it and report him but she didn't and he continue to kill. Several lives lost and even though they weren't innocent people they did not deserve to die.

“The FL cheating isn’t serious” “ they’re more pressing matters” Yes I’m sure there are….base…
I don’t know about anybody else but I’m not blind towards the message the show is trying to convey. However when the messenger is tainted then the message will become lost in translation and that’s exactly what’s happening here. If Fl cheated and faced retribution then people wouldn’t be as focus on it as they’re now. She’s supposedly fighting injustice but willingly and openly hurt her husband because she couldn’t control her own lust. It’s all boil down to the one question everybody wants answer “with a person who does such action why would I care about her stance on anything else?” “You cannot keep it in your pants where do you get the courage to denounce others?” She may not be an assaulter or rapist but she openly hurt someone unwarranted and the proof of this will live on and instead of having her punished she was basically rewarded instead.

“The FL cheating isn’t serious” “ they’re more pressing matters” Yes I’m sure there are….base on what we’ve seen so far the husband has done nothing to her to warrant being cheated on. If the roles were reverse you lot would’ve been cursing the fuxk out of the husband for infidelity . The double standards and selective outrage is truly disgusting. Cheating on your loyal partner and getting pregnant?? This meant her ass cheated and did it raw without a care of what she may catch and bring back to her husband. Would ya’ll be saying we’re overreacting if she had gotten an untreatable infection or HIV? He should leave her and that child so she has to raise it alone. She deserves no pity at all.

The bias in the comments truly knows no bounds…..you lot do not believe in equality like you preach. Unless it’s in your best interest otherwise you don’t care if others crash on burn under your decisions.

This is what I hate….every single time I’ve seen a show where the FL cheat they always find some way to justify it and blame the husband for being incompetent but somehow when the roles are reserve the women always leave the men or at the very least the man would get punish somehow. Is there no justice for male victims?
I’m almost sure they will do the same here and have the husband take her back and raise that bastard with her.

Also just to be clear my comment is base solely on the cheating section and the comments referring to it. My comment on the overall thought of the show and the primary premise is in another comment somewhere here

Don't make me laugh. I completely understand that the female lead had an extremely difficult childhood...I do and I completely agree with her wanted to seek revenge however at what point do we admit that she has long stop being a victim? She is very misguided and unnecessarily ruthless. Did she kill her foster parents? Yes Did they deserve it? Also yes but how is that a justifiable reason for her wanting to kill the lead investigator? Will she continue to kill everybody that goes against her are finds out about her misdeeds? This is a very twisted portrayal of heroism......She's vile and mentally unhinged and I really wish they would stop acting as if the world wronged her more than everybody else. Her hardship is acknowledged and she was indeed a victim in the beginning.

Having a assassin beside you who acts without orders to wipe out a whole family just to kill one person THEN regretting that they did that because your sister Kin so happen to be part of the family is just....To make matters worst you then told that assassin they did nothing wrong .....I mean that's definitely a choice...

Fwiw the ending was changed because of censorship (smth like you can't be led to believe you can get a do-over…
It's most definitely not because of censorship. Nothing in the novel ending would worth being censored. They cut the drama short that's all. the tv series ending was abrupt and boring. even if they didn't do the complete novel ending they could've did the part where they had a son, he succeeded the throne, the male lead dying and she ruling until she eventually died of old age too and they also met up back in the real world. In the novel he went back to 2016 and she went back to 2025. which makes complete sense as oppose to in this film where they met up in the same timeline. Following the Novel ending while she's ruling after losing him, he would've been also waiting for her until 2025 when she would've return after her death. **This is kind of jumbled and mix between what the drama version actually was suppose to be and what the actual novel ending is by the way.**

Also they have no problem portraying women being violated so I'm sure it's not because of censorship. several drama's release both this year and the last that have included similar situation. I'm obviously not asking for us to see the NSFW scenes...I'm saying they should not have brushed off the fact he was a male raped victim....A rape victim rather....This is a case of someone being violated and as a result end up having a unwanted child....This is like my second time seeing a onscreen in Chinese historical media and both times they were not taken seriously. As I said this case could've brought awareness, but because they didn't put much thought into it, nobody really cares. We all know why it was brushed off and not written in seriously and it's because the victim is a MALE!

To be clear I'm referring to how little they made the situation seems and how they never gave it a thought of day on how it possibly affected the male lead. I WAS NOT LOOKING FOR SCENES WHERE ML WAS BEING EXPLICITLY VIOLATED BUT RATHER THE AFTERMATH AND HOW HE HANDLED SUCH A THING MENTALLY. I don't think had this been a female character they would've left it just like that. They even gave thought to how and why the SL started his hate train against ML but somehow they couldn't bring awareness to Male rape victims?
On How Dare You!? Feb 22, 2026
I have so many opinions about this show but I fear I'll be burn at the stake.....I don't think it's bad or anything like that. They definitely should've ended it like the novel for one. 2. The short drama epidemic is truly exhausting and annoying to say the least.... 3. In all adaptations i truly hated how much the brush off the fact the emperor was sexually assaulted. Like we rarely have such occurrence in cinema media so i think they should've utilized this to bring awareness cause trust me some people still believe men can't be raped.

I could say a lot more here but as I said my opinions are always for the top % and I genuinely do not wanna go back and forth.

Hello, I have a different point of view. SFL isn't an idiot, she is not as well versed in the f*ck boy dictionary…
Oh brother…. She knew the entire script. Literally the only person who knew the entire script. Her ass made her self become a pawn and even after realizing she was one she still didn’t try to stand up for herself. Had it not been for the female lead revealing she’s also a transmigrator and bringing her over to emperor side her ass would’ve still had the prince using her. She was a hero in the story but somehow became a piece on the board. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell her the prince was using her, she even saw her self when she caught him sneaking around with FL and little bit after that her ass went and slept with him. She’s not a victim, she’s a simple minded dumbass.

Think whatever you wish. Have your own opinion that’s also good. 👍🏾 but I’ll remain with my stance. There’s no way you have such a huge advantage and didn’t use it. Even after seeing that the prince wasn’t using her strategy? Obviously the script is changing yet she remain the same. And it’s not as if she couldn’t change. She most definitely can or else she wouldn’t have switch sides after being prope by Wang Cuihua … She was just floppy around as if she couldn’t differentiate wrong from right. She hardly utilized anything she knows which is what’s frying me. You have plot armor and in the end you’ve not gain not even a single win??? Hello😃

I'm so irritated....You are from the modern world....You know exactly what would happen if you were to have unprotected sex.....You have the knowledge nobody else does from ready the novel in completion.....You know the Emperor is a "tyrant". YET.....You had his brother slinging raw meat in you ON THE FLOOR.....IN HIS KINGDOM???????????....Babe don't cry now...you was enjoying yourself to climax and so was Prince Xiahou Bo.....You not a victim, you don't deserve pity or remorse......Why are you wailing and acting like a victim as if you didn't make the conscious decision of being the King's woman but laying with his brother. Of course you're gonna get pregnant; a example needs to be made out of you... They're many brainless people on earth, it baffles me why you've chosen to be their leader. hisses teeth. Get it together, you're either gonna use your knowledge and be evil or be a lovesick idiot, but atp you CANNOT be both; you look ridiculous!!!!!!!!!

I've finally completed this after two long weeks. surely enough y bias still stands. Maybe it's because I'm not…
Just done read the novel and I must say EEEYUUCKKK……she is 14 and he’s 22……i understand the adaptation isn’t like this but I’m just disgusted and equally appalled not to mention disappointed at the fact they read the novel and decided that this is what they wanted to adapt…..mind you the novel was SPICY. I mean nudes and explicit sex scenes…. Just to put it into perspective this was a novel with lead characters where one is severely uderage and the other is a full grown adult.....14 and 22 and it was filled with more sex than military talk????????……as if I didn’t hate the show enough. This is literally Chenyi’s fault…. “If you don’t like the adaptation then you must like the original work” GIRL I DO NOT….tf🤮🤢

This wasn't bad but it was quite underwhelming to say the least. I just don't think the justice served as satisfying enough. I know that it was a one way street with ML always winning since he basically knew the plot, but I was kinda hoping they would've created a effect where some parts of the past life occurrences would be disrupted because of him having a head start to change everything. would've been way more intriguing since he wouldn't completely have an upper hand.. Still it was not bad. If we're being fair it went exactly as it should've except for the unsatisfying serve of justice to the high villains.
