Very underrated drama, in my opinion. I gave it a 10, even though I got bored sometimes and even though I still…
I hope you see my comment as you wrote it almost 1 year from now but, I can totally agree with you. I can't even put into words how realisitic, thrilling and intimate their relationship was. I've never seen something like this not in a movie nor in a drama or whatever before. I can't get over the ending also. It seems pretty underrated with no reason, but this drama was so original, creative and moving in so many ways that I'm surprised other people didn't see it. But I'm glad you appreaciate it the same as me, Especially that scene in episode 16!!! Forever will be my favourite. I can't believe you watched it 5-6th times! I mean, I figured out about the ending one week ago, so I was so depressed and had to do a break, even now that I finished it, I get sad again so even though I love this drama so much and think it's one of the best, I can't bring myself to think I can watch this again T^T What did you think about the ending? I still can't figure out why she did that...
I've just finished watching this amazing drama. My heart still aches and I can't bring myself to get over this. This forever will be one of my favourite saeguk but also dramas in general.. I've watched 200 something dramas in my life, but no drama could portray such beautiful relationships, deep and intimate as this one. I can never get over this. I tend to take dramas to heart, but this one is definitely an extreme example for me. I can't give it it a 10 because of the ending, but anything except that was so perfect. 9/10
I've just finished the drama. For me, it was a 10/10, but it depends on what you're looking for. If it's a rom-com then its not the choice that you're looking for, but if you're looking for an intimate and deep, but not a lovey-dovey couple, then this is your drama. I think it will take me really long time to get over this drama and the relationships here.
I remember people complaining her acting in Playful Kiss, but for me, she was perfect there because that how was the character supposed to be. I watched the anime and read the manga and the portration was accurate. I still like her a lot nowdays with her more recent projects. I'm glad she's finally getting the appreciation she deserves.
I always come again to this page. I honestly can't think of a better Korean actress. She portrayed so much different characters in her acting. Although her dramas weren't that popular in the west,I can really say they were all very special and different than the typical Kdramas that we know. <3
Thank you for the review! :) I really agree with you about the thing that those cliches can ruin your enjoyment, and I believe this drama could have been much better without it. I think it's one of the reasons not a lot of dramas can get a 10 for me. I agree that the expectations are that a mature drama will handle those issues more seriously. I got interested and impressed by your analyzing of the overall ideas of the drama, and I think that symbolism and poeticism, if is done well, can be very attracting when watching a drama. I think I will give this one a shot, The good points you mentioned were still stronger than the negative ones. I also haven't watched Hirugao so on that point I won't get disappointed ????
Also I found a blog to all her outfits and their prices and let me tell you tvN went all out on this onehttps://www.kdramacinema.tk/2019/08/iu-outfits-in-hotel-del-luna-with-brand.html*cries…
I really enjoy it so far. The plot, atmosphere, IU, cinematography etc. But I really can't stop being unsatisfied with the romance part..I feel that it's developting so out of the blue, and the chemistry between them is zero. I really hope it changes since this drama could have been so much better without romanceXD
Damn... What a drama! And to think I put it on hold for years! So happy that I did watch it at the end. I was on the edge for the whole drama. It never dragged to me, and I did like the characters (many people here say they didn't) Indeed the ending was problematic, but after 3 hours of readong many ideas,I got to a conclusion. I will be happy to talk with someone about them/the drama in general :D
THIS CAST! I didn't watch the original, so I don't have any expectations, but I just love Lee Sang Yeob and am so happy for him to get the main role finally! <3
