I could be wrong on this, but I've watched enough Korean dramas and movies to say this. Dramas are amazing and…
Yes, I agree with you. I think that in general TV tends to be an easier watch because everyone can see it, but movies, as you said tend to to portray those more difficult details. I will be glad to hear your recommendations of saeguk films! :)
Jeon Ji Hyun's acting was spectacular as always, (as I watched the film especially for her), Well done action scenes and nice idea in general, But I didn't understand anything that was going on there. Didn't understand the message of the film (people are bad and were meant to betray?) 2 hours of nothing... so I didn't like it much..
Honestly, I am so sad about this. Yuchun was the one who made me love Korea so much and get interested in it from already 7 years ago... I think that some people there tried to ruin him from the very beginning with the sexual assault allegations. Honestly, I don't think that doing drugs is THAT a bad prohibiton of the law to make all this buzz. I mean, in Korea it might be huge thing ,but in evey other place in the world, everyone does it. I think that instead of prison, he needs a rehab. I'm just so sorry and sad for him, only few weeks ago he had his solo comeback..I really thought that in few years he will come back to acting and we'll see a jyj comeback ;(
Wow I can't believe this rating and all the hating comments...I just LOVE this drama so much. I watched it like 4 years ago and I still think about it from time to time. The characters were really great and they portrayed so well the dynamics between people .
I'm really enjoying this drama so far! As a RomCom I really find it special in a certain way and it just makes me feel so good. The only thing I'm scared, is those flashbacks..I'm afraid they'll do it like any other RomCom ..that they have this childhood connection. Why can't they just be a normal couple? If it really happens I'm afraid I'll like this drama less :(
I am confused as to how Pearson speaking Korean made any difference? Also I want to know why the DA Park helped…
I'm answering to this question in a huge delay, but I think that it means that -if he lied so well, that he can't speak Korean, and acted innocence, it means that he might hides other things as well...
This movie was very distrubing on one hand, but very well done on the other. I think that many people here misunderstood this movie. It wasn't "unorginaized", it was well orginaized! I think that the theme of the movie was firstly-to critisis the Korean education system, to say "this is what happens when you only think about grades, people can turn crazy when you do it" (I also felt that those pictures at the end of the movie, when people praying for their child to get accepted to university was pretty ironic) and secondly- I think that the other purpose was to question the human nature; under certain circumstances, how will you act? Because both of the leads (especially Jun) were good and bad at the same time. Although Jun was builled, he made it on it's own, he could just forget about those notebooks and keep along the other classmates, but not, in each level of the "missions" he participated, especially, he got along in the "last" one. I believe that he was frustrated and jealous. By the way, I liked the ending. I thought it fitted to deliver the message of the movie. I also liked the dark filming. It feels like an indie movie actually. Anyway, I recommend it!
RomComs aren't usually my cup of tea actually, but I really enjoy this one so far. I started it only for KJW since I've been waiting for years for him to get the main role, and I enjoy seeing him so much here! I like the fact that he is so understanding and not the usual jerk-main lead. The problem at the beginning was understandable because of the circumstances, but after that I really like how he talks and tell her about himself. I also love how they portray the imagination of Duk Mi (so funny and creative!) and the drama doesn't fear to support LGBTQ! It makes me so happy to see how Korea is changing little by little. I ended up starting it when it's still airing so all I have to do now is praying that it countinues like that.
+ I first wanted to watch this drama since I was travelling Gyeongju, and saw a big poster of this drama in the historical park of the city. I got curious and therefore decided to watch it when I come back. + It took me half a year to watch and finish this drama. As for me, the first 20 episodes, were the most interesting and the more thrilling part of the show (although I see that most people liked it from episode 40+~). I also must admit- I was never a fan of Bidam! From the beginning untill the end I was a Yushin supporter. It's not that I hated Bidam, but he was "just ok" for me. I also think that the romance at the end was a bit forced, since for me it was clear that the queen loved Yushin her whole life, but because of the situation of both of them she just seeked for someone to love and support her unconditionally at that moment. + I LOVED Mishil! I admired her the whole drama. I also think that they conveyed it well how much storng she was, and how much political power she held, but her supporters weren't there only for the power, but they actually loved her and admired her so much to continue to be there for her. She was amazing, she was the show! + I can't ignore the fact that the drama wasn't based on actual facts (It's important to me in Saeguks) and the fact that each and every character annoyed me sometimes. Sometimes I felt it was a bit dragged and I was struggling watching it around it's 20-40 episodes, but I still enjoyed it very much. The character development of DeokMan, Mishil, Bidam and Yushin was great and they portrayed it very well. At the end, when DeokMan was finally "the" queen she stopped being annoying XD . I liked seeing her so mature and strong after all they went through. + I liked the ost and the clothes..all the setting was great too. Made me want to go back again to Gyeongju. It was a long drama, so I might not want to rewatch it, but I do recommend it as a good saeguk. 8/10
It was so disappointing they should've just made them in a long distance relationship instead. It doesn't make…
I feel you about this. They also took this risk of getting together even though she's his best friend's sister. They knew that if they get together it means that it's for life. I do believe it's only the choice of the writer and the producer so that they can continue to a new next season. I just think it was a wrong decision and they should have done it like Reply or something. I saw in many platforms (anime, dramas, movies etc) that they use the same character but build it it's own new world. You don't need to be sad if you rewatch the first season. Try to distinguish the two seasons :)
If it really happens I'm afraid I'll like this drama less :(
