Agreed! Also, if Mo Eun plotted for so long to punish these 3 people, I think she could have managed it without…
The ending scene was indeed so lame and forced... Sure, Moeun helped Yunsu at the end but they were far from being on good terms, and they barely even knew each other... Did they forget who was the one who put Yunsu through all that torture?
Agreed! Also, if Mo Eun plotted for so long to punish these 3 people, I think she could have managed it without…
I also thought Yunsu did kill her husband at first, until I saw her sloppy ass murder attempt and realized I overestimated her LMAO. Feels like Jeon Doyeon's talents were a bit wasted here.

Yeah looking back, what was with Yunsu acting so strange at the start?? I guess this is why I didn't really connect to both leads, they both felt inconsistent.
Agreed! Also, if Mo Eun plotted for so long to punish these 3 people, I think she could have managed it without…
Yeah Moeun honestly had a crap plan of killing the parents first then sitting on the couch for ages, almost like she was waiting to get caught... Girl, at least have a backup plan for your long awaited revenge! I know it was just the setup for the FLs to meet each other in prison but it could have been less forced.
Looking back, it's just so underwhelming how the entire flow of events turned out to be: - Yunsu thought Moeun was constantly stalking and threatening her --> actually she wasn't - Yunsu killed the grandson --> actually she didn't - Yunsu is so screwed because Moeun knows she didn't kill him!! --> actually it's fine because he ended up dying anyway... - Who is this invisible force that orchestrated this whole thing??? --> a psychopath lady that barely appeared in the show who killed the guy for a stupid reason...
Like??? Ultimately, it's just a shame how it went from that premise to such a predictable ending arc of 2 FLs teaming up to catch the real killer...
I have mixed opinions on this show. The show starts out with a dark deal being made between the 2 leads, showing promise for a very complex and twisted story. The show builds up the suspense and mystery very well, and finally, things start to get revealed... Each reveal is unexpected, but at the same time it kinda deflates the narrative, or should I say, "chickens out"... And the very last reveal is the most underwhelming of them all. It just feels like without the mystery and suspense, it is actually a very generic and safe crime story. With that title "Price of Confession", there wasn't really a price that was paid... And I was expecting a twisted story a la Park Chanwook's masterpieces. I guess it was a mismatch of expectations.
Yeah wtf, the case that his character was desperately trying to uncover was a student r*pe case... Except his is much worse because he was involved in 4 COUNTS OF R*PE OF DIFFERENT GIRLS! This is a whole new level of shameless! đĄ
this Jo Jin woong guy was a juvenile rapist and robber in school days in real life đ
And just like that, Signal is tarnished forever for me... Imagine portraying a policeman desperately uncovering the truth behind a school rape case, when you yourself were a juvenile rapist. Laughable.
Oh, the irony! Signal was all about criminals who got away scot free after burying their past crimes. Turns out that the actor who plays the biggest good guy is exactly like that! You can just imagine the backlash if they kept this pig in the second season... The poor cast and crew are likely to have all their efforts go to waste.
I wonder if this was why Jo Jin Woong was reluctant to reprise his role in season 2 for all these years. Because the character is the complete opposite of him and even he finds it ironic and shameless to receive so much love for it?? Can't believe how much I liked his portrayal in S1...
Nam Ji-hyunâs agency already confirmed that she couldnât reprise her role because of scheduling conflicts,…
I mean, sure, but you kinda missed my main point which is that this results in the good opportunities flowing to the big acting agencies. Actors from smaller agencies are losing out. I never talked about these practices compromising the productions' quality. Also, I never said this show is a guaranteed success because of the cast. It is a guaranteed success because it's the second season of a show with very high ratings. For reference, you can see how Hospital Playlist 2 or Taxi Driver 2 did in their premiere ratings.
Nam Ji-hyunâs agency already confirmed that she couldnât reprise her role because of scheduling conflicts,…
I never said the original actors were forced out or that the new ones are not good actors. I am just stating how AC put their actors into their own production, knowing it is almost a guaranteed success. Now almost all of the main cast are from AC.
It is simply an industry practice that started since a long time ago, but agencies are now pushing their actors as leads in the same drama when it used to be mostly pushing side actors. There was also an official korean news article about this, FYI. Some netizens raised concerns about how the big agencies are hogging the opportunities.
So half of the main cast left and got replaced with actors from Artist Company (since they're producing the show)... Not surprising but I'm not liking this trend of companies bundling their actors in the same production.
This show is clearly not written by someone who has much business knowledge, much less informed enough of how businesses in SK survived in 1997. The number of loopholes in the story got way too high to be ignored. The IMF crisis is supposed to be the backdrop, but when it comes to the business arc, suddenly the stakes became a childish psychopathic villain who hates the ML for no reason. To me, the business narrative is a huge writing failure that contributed NOTHING to what's supposed to be the motivational message of the show. The result is a painfully average drama where only bits and pieces are good.
I was thinking soul swapping is such an old and tired trope, but I realized I never watched any drama where the leads swap bodies randomly just for short bouts of time.
This has to be one of the most ridiculous last episodes I have seen. My eyeballs almost rolled out of their sockets when I saw a bunch of chefs using spoons and woks for weapons. Are they being serious..? And don't get me started on that ending. I guess kdrama watchers will just eat up any lazy nonsensical ending as long as the leads end up together... The way he traveled to the future is a "secret"? Really? Or did the writers just not bother enough to cook up a simple explanation for that? I will take a sad or bittersweet ending anyday compared to whatever this is.
Also, there is literally no payoff because the romance never even sold itself in the first place. She was definitely not in love with him to the point of sacrificing her life for him, or to attempt to return to the past just to meet him again. Even Yoona looked utterly unconvinced to me in the last 2 episodes. Her face was screaming "I don't understand why I'm in love with this dude but I'm trying to act like I am". And honestly, I don't blame her.
Actors donât just âdo whatever they want.â They perform inside the directorâs vision â but the best…
Wow, guess I'm not allowed to express an opinion on the internet... I merely questioned the acting choices used for her character (which can be on the writer, director, producer or whoever it is). Besides, where in my comment did I say "actors do whatever they want" or had a personal problem with her? Please don't put words into my mouth.
