A bit similar? Fangs of Fortune. There are girls and they're officially romantically involved with the guys, but my deep-set impression is that the girls were hot for each other and the guys... they were on another level. LOL.

I totally, absolutely, do not like stories set in the 60s or 70s... but this is WDH. The dilemma is real.

But yay!!! He got 11 places up, he must be in heaven LOL.

Dammit, it's really too short at ten eps. They should've made it a full-length drama.

Ep11 explained all the coincidences away already, it's not ZhiBai (or not for all of them).

This is a mystery, and they did add some school scenes in the first eps that were related to the mystery (and some that were not). I think he doesn't go around all day investigating, but the drama only has 28 eps and some school filler scenes would just waste time.

Though it's been some three eps since one of the bad guys said they were going to kill his friend in school and then we never saw him again in any setting, but neither has he come up as dead... Who knows.

I do want to get through this and I like the parts where the old cast comes in... but OMG each and every time Poison Girl's story comes back into play I check out like the pipes broke at home. Been trying to go through ep6 for a day, can't get past the "flashback." Like, they already told us what happened to her, nobody forgot, why do we need to see it every other ep? I could care less.

I'll watch this (because SKJ), but every time I read that synopsis it brings me to giggles because it seriously sounds like this is a kdrama version of Main Hoon Na :D

I'm just sad there won't be massive random singing&dancing sets of Bollywood inspiration :(

I don't listen to GOT7, so to me he's been every character he portrayed in dramas.

This drama looks and sounds interesting, I'll be tuning in (despite the romance).

Because censorship. It's a modern drama, so if it was set in China, that means 1. the police isn't that great ('cause they're blaming ZhiBai for the fire, though by now it's apparent he was also a victim, most likely), 2. people investigate by themselves randomly (let's be honest, SiYuan has no business getting into the detective action), 3. everybody and their mom are drinking like there's no tomorrow, gambling, killing people as they want to, there's a lot of prostitution going on, also the surrogacy part - that's illegal in China and there was a scandal about two years back about a big name actress who has kids through surrogacy and abandoned them abroad.

They wouldn't ever allow that story to be set in China. So they invented a separate country that is definitely not Thailand (tongue-in-cheek) but people would very much associate it with Thailand, LOL.

And yeah, there's the supernatural element, too, and then the probable mental-health problem of the ML, if they go the scientific way of explaining it. So there...

No, it's a rebirth story.

I must be a masochist, I just rewatched the ending - don't rewatch this ending if you're sick with flu, it's going to give you such a headache.

But it's still glorious and I'm missing all of them. I wish there was a sequel, at least a movie. Something.

ZhiBai is the one doing the crime coverups. He can take over SiYuan easily, and his set of morals would be different now he's been dead a while.

I don't think it's split personality either, I like my supernatural detective pair :D

Great first episode, and the reveal was so well done. I'll be watching this.

This one looks so good. I don't know about the plot, we'll see, but the leads are awesome and she's SO freaking cute! I'm an instant fan :D

And the comedic moments in the first ep are also cute, LOL. But did they just forget about all the villagers who got taken by the demons?!

5/7 How are men so puritanical in the 21st century, do these two guys know sex toys have been around for a long time? And they being Japanese on top of that. But I approve anyway, since BL. Two more eps to go. I'm wishing Kaori on Fujisawa LOL.
