Yeah, I'll just watch this for Rain, because I could find 4 dramas that this one reminded me of, right off the top of my head. I guess I could find more if I really tried, LOL.

Anyway - some cool scenes (did they blow half their budget with the first explodey scene, LOL?), I like the cold type of ML, I guess they're hinting someone killed someone else what with all the intro snapshots into the present, I'm glad they're not stretching it out with the FL's past career, and so on.

I really wish they'd have changed the MIL over-the-top-extra character to someone cold and calculated, I cannot take seriously someone who's supposedly a great businesswoman but who throws things and keeps yelling just because. And the husband's hair is giving me the ick, LOL.

The best promise is still LWJ's, and he takes it seriously: "Everyday means everyday." :D

Cher continues to win these last few eps - "if you like Yak, vote 99, if you like Sasaki, vote 567824!" ROFLOL.

Also, Sasaki, after getting TKO-d: BESTO EXPERIENSO!! LOL, he's so over the top. I like him, too :D

This ep also felt a lot like filler, but I don't mind - I still like Great's smile :D

This is from an official TL of the novel (illustrating an actual event in the story), so sorry to destroy your pure hetero world. Also, the drama is a Censored Adaptation of a Same-Sex Original Work, so yeah, it's censored, but it's BL and no doubt about it.

Homosexual persons exist and have existed since mankind appeared. Love between same-sex persons is possible, and is just as wholesome as love between different-sex partners. Stop judging others for what they choose to watch and for what they like - just enjoy what you like too without dissing others.

Then again, the beauty of it is that the censoring allows people who don't usually watch danmei to make up their own opinion on the strength of the plot and characters without being pestered by any explicit romance (as, for example, in the straight xianxia costume dramas).

P. S. If your first and only contact with BL is Boku no Pico... girl, seek help. That manga and/or anime is/are rather hard to just happen onto out of the blue, given its subject - unless you explicitly are looking for shotacon, which is sending eeck vibes already. Also, times are changing - that kind of manga aren't welcome in Japan either, any more.

Also... just in case you didn't notice yet, but it's really true that still waters run deep. Out of the two of them, which would you choose to be the one with the kink? *wink*

She looks uncomfortable about it, though - like she wants Yak now, but she "just realised" it. She's unhappy he's going to the ball with Dee, she's itching to say something to him all the time, she gives him longing looks - it's a 180 degree change of attitude towards him. There was never anything remotely not-platonic between them (from her part), and now there is.

I guess there has to be some more story to fill 12 eps, but I'd rather they don't split again because of a woman (or anyone else).

What's Taem's problem, though?! She VERY MUCH gave the guy the wrong signals, if she's not interested in him at all. I mean, as a watcher, and a woman too, she DID look like she liked him. Obviously, for drama purposes, he turned out to be scum... but I feel like the writer changed the dynamics for the past few eps just to add more story to them (because other than Taem being Yak's tutor and initial love interest, the role didn't have anything more in it.)

Also, WTF, does Taem now chase Yak instead? When before, when he was mooning over her, she couldn't give him the time in the day if he asked?!

Which reminds me - LOL that wall clock in the ballroom STOPPED FOREVER AGO, it's been 22.15 for the whole ball hahaha~

At least Yak did get there in time to fend off scum Dr. Ter and bring Cinderella to his ball :D

And now he's declared his love, they're officially lovers, not fake BFs, yay!

I love how they chose Cher and Oye to bring in some real-world important issues - namely the passing of the same-sex marriage law in Thailand - I'm happy for all people who get their rights, and I hope we'll be seeing at least a wedding by the end of the series :D

Dr. Ter is such an a**hole. If I were her, I'd slap him too. I guess she's more of a lady, LOL.

I almost thought they'd make this ep a mirrored situation of last ep (though at least Taem had a valid reason) but we're safe, LOL.

And oh, Wandee might've said it's not ironical but it TOTALLY felt sarcastic when he called Ter vanilla, LOL.

(ep3) The general is a hydro homie, LOL. And Jiang XinBai is a cute drunk, taking inventory of her face, hahaha~.

LYX has the best expressions, LOL.

(First ep so far) Okay I did NOT expect that twist, LOL. And chased by everybody AND the dog too, hahaha~

This looks like it will be a lot of fun :D

TBH I am fuzy about the details of the ending part of the novel and I don't want to re-read it right now in order to enjoy the drama fully. But I think they've started changing some major threads in order to give Ming his redemption arc.

Which - did I mention this before, Ming, please f*ck off and die (novel Ming anyway).

Up was AMAZING this ep - I could feel his pain even when I don't like Ming. Poom, as always, sparked off him too and they made it great between the two of them!

Nice touch there at the end, what with the two of them caught in the crossroads... Umm, interesting.

I need to find that BGM...

ETA My favourite parts this ep - first, Joe taking Ming to task for crying like a little b*tch, too little, too late. And second... Ming coming up to them pretending he'd get rid of all Joe's stuff, then walking away with that desperate hope in his eyes. I LOVE eye-acting!!! He did BEAUTIFULLY in that scene!

Okay, that first half of the episode was the best part of the series so far.

First though - that's right, Ming, why the hell are you crying NOW? F*ck off and die.

Also, P'Wut, LOL - "no one should attend their own funeral" - err... isn't that the exact idea behind a funeral?! Everybody can skip it but the person being buried, LOL. P'Wut with the casual black humour drops hahaha~

Shoutout to the composer!!! The BGM in this ep ROCKED!! Particularly the theme in front of the morgue, when Secretary Jim confronts Joe. I loved that theme.

So how does the novel end? Please spoil me on this, thank you! :D

SYH's mom isn't married to his dad, and the father hasn't even registered SYH as his son, so she has no divorcing to do, LOL.

JaeMin-released-from-juvie-and-going-to-college Party has my vote!

TBH I kind of wanted all (young) YiHeon to stay. I liked DeukPal's personality, but the kid should've had a chance to grow up and become an adult too.

I also wanted SYH to somehow finagle JaeMin out of juvie. He's the one who actually showed a lot of character growth and he deserved to be rescued. Did the novel address that?

Also... Bong JaeHyun really does have beautiful eyes, LOL.

I guess I'll have to see if there's any kind of TL of the novel - even MTL, if readable - and see what the BL side of it was like.

I meant, he couldn't have gone to them asking for money before they realised he's actually their old friend Joe. Wut wouldn't have had it anyway (he has some money problems and he also has a family), and maybe Sol wasn't the kind of close friend you can go ask for so much money that you probably won't ever manage to pay back.

But more than that, I think it's reason 2.

I'm getting whiplash from all the sudden happenings.

How come this pair and that pair fell in love?! They didn't even get to see each other all that much. Now there's talk of marriage and we're in episode 5. What the...

The old Yang master and his wife took two eps to die, LOL (I'm not laughing because they died, but it took two eps!!) and then Guo Jing found himself a soulmate in about 5 minutes flat. And THEN Yang Kang found himself a soulmate in about one minute, flat. What is this, an arms race?!

Is Yang Kang getting redeemed? Because Padme, errr, I mean Guo Jing said - ~There is still good in him, I can see it!~ LOL, I thought the main ship was changing or something out of the blue. But wait, GJ was also already engaged? WHEN?!

I've decided to just go with the flow, even if they're skipping rocks over the surface of the actual story, LOL. And I want Yang Kang redeemed, because he's cute. What, why can't I be superficial like that? THEY are too.

So there are two arguments to be made here.

1. He was desperate and made a decision out of freaking out in the shock of the moment, and also he is NOT the same Joe so he is NOT Sol's or Wut's friend, close enough to ask such a big lump of money out of them.

2. Ming freaking OWES him. He owes him his life, his actual money that are now out of reach, his home that he can't return to, his old profession back. Ming owes him everything. So Ming is the one who has to pay for it all (even if it means Joe has to be in the bargain to get it).

It's fiction. People can be as delusional or accepting as we want them to be, in fiction.

In real life, LOL, they'd probably pack Joe AND Ming to a psychiatrist to treat their schyzophrenia or something.

Sol's reaction is actually making me think really highly of Porsche. HE doesn't look so well during that scene, like he's ready to run away at the drop of a hat, LOL. He looks actually, real-life shocked, and I loved that. The fact that Wut is in the front acting up like he's mad at Joe for not telling them (I mean... what the heck could he tell them anyway and not be considered a madman?!) is covering up Sol's reaction a bit, but if you look at him, he's PERFECT in that scene.

Also, hehehe, this is based on a danmei Chinese novel. They like rebirth in those novels (trust me, I love them too, they're my favourites). Nobody bats an eye for being transmigrated into a novel, or reborn, or even just paired with a System and sent to right the universe up, LOL. And nobody in-world is ever shocked to find out that, hahaha~
