Title Castaway Diva Spoiler
If KiHo really did lose all memories before highschool, he's WooHak. And if he did run away again and his mother…
KBG would go on island cleanup maybe because JKH is so deeply marked from losing SMH on a boat he sent her off on. Doing it in his place, sort of, maybe trying to give him closure were he to find the remains of the girl he supposedly sent to her death?

IF KBG is actually KiHo and remembers MokHwa... wouldn't HE be the most affected by her return? Instead he's basically acting like she doesn't exist. If WooHak lost his memories because of the trauma and/or some more physical assault later on, and now he's starting to remember little things, then maybe the whole family made a wall around him to protect him from the world - giving him space to cling closely to KBG, aknowledging him always as part of the family (he'd be a stepson to the father and a stepbrother to KBG), indulging basically his every strange whim... IMHO, they're definitely NOT giving KBG the same treatment, and I think at least the mom would, if she got him back after such a bad teen period.

I still think WooHak is KiHo (maybe), but yeah, it depends on what the writer wants - some later on shock factor, or some smooth flow of the romance part. So far, I'm really enjoying the music, LOL, and I wonder if we'll get some Pygmalion moments :D

so i think i have made up a skeleton story structure, Kang Bo Geol is KIHO and had switched name and age with…
If KiHo really did lose all memories before highschool, he's WooHak. And if he did run away again and his mother eventually found him, it would make sense - he's the one waiting for her every year for a few years at that station, right? Maybe he was in an accident OR his father caught up and assaulted him, giving him amnesia. And maybe a changed personality, since he doesn't remember why he has to be so careful all the time and why he's was so fenced off as a kid. Maybe that's why BoGeul and all his family lets him get away with pretty much everything, and why he gets so clingy to his younger brother.

It would totally be a waste if KiHo isn't WooHak (I'd rather have BoGeul fall for someone else, LOL, he's cool and all but WooHak found her and he's the one with the memory loss, it makes sense he'd be the one...)

Here's hoping anyway.

Is it just me or was that second song (in the second ep) totally a "Never Enough" moment complete with scene presentation,…
And I sure hope WooHak really is KiHo, I got so invested in KiHo's strength and preparedness, I'd be so sorry if he wasn't in the story any more...

I just finished this series and oh my goodness this was fantastic. I have some issues with it mainly the ending…
1. The first scene of the drama (the man hanging on and then falling off) is the grandpa when he's younger and trying to make the killer confess. When he's attacked and put into a hospital he decides he won't help obsessions any more, so the Ink Lady keeps trying to convince him throughout the rest of his life, unsuccessfully. That first scene is revisited and expanded in the last episode, as prelude for YiYong's own fall.

2. Grandpa chose to let go of life and die - Ink Lady had him decide on his own after keeping him alive in a coma for two years, because that's YiYong's wish toward her.

3. That comic is about both their school lives - YiYong is the MC and GuangYuan is another character in it, LOL. YY's half-drawn chara is what makes GY realize he's the manhua creator :)

4. We all want a second season, this was an amazing drama, and it totally deserves a sequel!! :D

This is freaking hilarious. I only saw Rowoon in Tomorrow, and he was good, but he's better here, LOL. He has amazing comedic timing, and so does his FL and OMG, so does the King. The King is a total hoot!! :D Even the manservant and the donkey find their moments, LOL. I needed a good laugh drama this fall :)

I have given up on MDL and its ratings - people seem to come for idols or faves and stay with it or drop it because it doesn't appear as they expected it - well, I had no expectations, because I didn't feel like watching a sageuk rom-com, but TBH, this is probably the one drama I'll be keeping closely up with.

For people wondering if they should start this: it's a sageuk rom-com with the main pairing between a widower incel who is so frustrated with his situation he gets mini heart attacks whenever he's witnessing PDAs, LOL, and a woman who is also a widow but can't help herself matchmaking other people into forever happiness just because. And they get a shared mission to marry off three spinsters so that the king can then marry off his son and heir LOL - and it's hard because the spinsters have ideas of their own, there are two political parties who get involved into NOT letting the heir marry, and then there's the fact that JungWoo (the incel) is about to find love himself... which is not that happy moment you'd think it was.

Seriously, give it a try :)

Meguro Ren is amazing with the white long hair, but the romance was totally tropey. Which is not to say it would…
I guess the episodic feeling of the story is due to the way the novels were written - I mean, the overreaching arc is about the insects (nobody took the time to explain what they actually are and how they do get rid of them actually and if any other part of the world is afflicted with them etc), but then you have the guy who tells her she's poisoning him one day then eating it all up the next day and in a matter of days (minutes in the movie) the whole gifted squad is eating her food. But at the same time she's still the scaredy cat who gets PTSD attacks when meeting her half-sister randomly on the street.

And to mention the sister - I mean, okay, I can SEE why she'd totally be smitten with him from one look, but SHE wasn't locked up in her house for her whole life, and Kiyoka is the most-talked about unwed man around... she never, ever heard he's good looking?! Yeah right. That kidnapping plot was a rock in a puddle, LOL, what with the males of the family trying to take him out for reasons (maybe have a shotgun wedding or something, LOL?)

That Arata was family was obvious, he telegraphed it from his first appearance (his whole demeanor is screaming "I'm a bad guy, but maybe I could be on your side".) I'd rather have some more Gifted squad guys instead of him.

And I really, really like the young Emperor - going by the usual trend, he'll probably end up totally corrupted in the end of the series and probably Kiyoka will have to take him out or something, LOL.

...I guess I'll check out the anime and see if it goes the way I think it goes, LOL.

Edit: well... upon checking the anime NF trailer, I guess I'll stay with the movie and that'll be it, LOL.

Meguro Ren is amazing with the white long hair, but the romance was totally tropey. Which is not to say it would generally be bad, but there was no time for any development. They just met, he noticed her and checked out why she acted like that and then... he fell for her? Because, why?!

I suppose it's more detailed for the people who read the novels or watched the anime (I didn't, either), but TBH, I did watch til the end only for Meguro Ren's looks, the interesting set-up (I wish they'd had more time to show what was going on in that Gifted barracks, and why the heck did the Emperor need to be so creepy, LOL.)

Overall, not bad. At least there's lots and LOTS of eye-candy, and I want a paper bird messenger/spy that looks as good as that one!

Just my random thought, but I imagine Meguro Ren will be awesome as Sesshoumaru if there is an adaptation for…
Let's just skip InuYasha completely and totally go for the Sesshomaru spin-off.

Title Nirvana in Fire Spoiler
OH THANK YOU for sharing this.Thank Goodness I didn't start watching this .. so many people raved about it ..…
The harem belongs to the old Emperor. He doesn't care anymore for those things. But each of the harem women - consorts and Empress - have a pawn in the game (their own sons, by blood or adopted) that they are trying to make Crown Prince, because that definitely would change their whole lives, too. And for a mother's love, presumably.

Most of the romance is actually bromance (no sexual tension, just brothers-in-arms, remembered friendship, actual male bonding, etc). There are a few bits of current romance... but the plot is focusing on the revenge, power games, and punishment of all involved in the initial conflict.

The scale is huge - the whole Empire. It's a palace drama mainly, though, not many battle scenes (they're not completely lacking), mostly mind games and genius-level planning and counter-planning. Everybody's playing dice with their lives. The tension keeps getting higher and higher with each episode.

I've watched a lot of dramas, but there are very few that comes close to this one in regard to plot tightness, level of acting (Consort Jing is still one of my favourite characters ever, it's rare to see a woman with pretty little power that is so cunning, level-headed and a great match for MCS's strategies, playing along without ever once meeting him - until close to the end) and general satisfaction about the ending.

So, highly recommended (coming from someone who doesn't really appreciate romance other than in rom-coms, LOL.)

Anyone who wants MORE romance in the story - Nirvana in Fire 2 has got them covered :)

There are many women who play power games along with the men - the Empress, the Noble Consort, the Consort Jing, the Commandery Princess Ni Huang, the spies (many, many female spies), the strategist - yes, a woman - and then those just wanting to save their families and maybe revenge an evil act done to them, like Princess Li.

There are at least three stages being played at the same time - the harem politics, the strategists' game and then the army's straightforward game.

There is not a lot of romance, indeed, because it's not about a romance but about revenge. But not-female centric?! Half the battles are being waged in the concubines' palaces! (Maybe even more than half, considering who's influencing the outcome most of all.)

So yeah, who's in it for the romance will be disappointed, since there's almost none. But there are many strong female characters, and they're just as bad (or good) as the men.

5 minutes into the first episode and it already doesn’t work with the lore of the original. Did the creators…
Same feeling here, I could only watch basically the first three minutes - and that's because I was trying to figure out if NF put The HU in it (couldn't stay til the end or try to look it up later though. Anyway, those killing those instruments were either The HU or some look-alikes trying to grab on to a similar look).

But I decided that if I feel I want to FFD the whole first ep beginning from minute 4 it's a definite sign this one is NOT for me.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
Finally catching up. On eps 18. The actress that plays the older sister is quite good. Innocent but actually deep…
She's not evil... just a total narcissist who doesn't even trust the results of her own selfish actions.

But she becomes very, very easy to hate.

Oh, he was in his most looking-like-WWX phase, LOL. Of course he'd be tall - or she's just tiny :)

EDIT LOL, he's 1.83m tall, almost the same as XZ. (wiki doesn't go into decimals, but XZ as SY in SBMS keeps saying he's 183.6cm tall, LOL. So there's a half-centimeter advantage for the home team hahaha).

Triplets, OMG!!! Congratulations! (also, you have my sympathy for the next few years of no sleep. They'll be your pride and joy when they get past the age of 7 or thereabouts, just hang on, it won't be that long :D)

But consider this - watching TTEOTM will give you plenty of excuses for emotional outbursts when you feel like crying because the sky is blue or the babies start smiling in their sleep :) Just say it's because ADG being lonely, or TTJ being awesome or LSS being confused yet again :D Nobody will bat an eye - we know these guys, we know what they're capable of :D

TTJ and LSS and everybody else. Even ADG. I just miss them - and a drama to catch and keep me as TTEOTM did.

*sigh*
