If the dream, tear and thread won't help destroy the Devil Bone, what use are they and why did Ji Ze mention them to XiWu?! Is this dream they're caught in supposed to maybe softly suggest to them what might happen to their current/actual selves?...

The Devil Judge (kdrama), Ashes of Love (cdrama, LYX is playing the not-so-squeaky-clean character), Lighter&Princess (cdrama, but modern), Nirvana in Fire (cdrama, historical, everybody's wearing masks), The Blue Whisper (cdrama, gets kind of draggy in the second season, but the FL is a torturer by trade), The Legends (Bai Lu is a FL there, both lead charas are not... simple), maybe Mouse (kdrama, though it's definitely not my cup of tea.)

Ming Ye is the dragon, and the clam under his claw is Sang Jiu. Ji Ze is the God of Time.

Ming Ye is called repeatedly a "flood dragon", so you know the dragon cultivated and eventually became a God, Xianxia lore has it that fairies and all kinds of animals and plants and even humans can cultivate into immortality and some can ascend to godhood. So Ming Ye cultivated until he first could be deified and replaced the former War God (Tian Huan's father) when he died.

Err, it's a staple wuxia/xianxia thing. Lovers do dual-cultivation all the time. Actually, anyone doing dual-cultivation with another is assumed to be their lover/SO.

That's why SJ's brother was so shocked to hear her speaking so plainly about asking MY for it - and then, later, she did go THERE too LOL.

He is pretty much capable of empathy - he couldn't copy Xiao Lin's actions if he couldn't recognize the feelings and emotions. It's just that he's been treated as a burden and unloved for his whole life, and every time he thought someone would care for him, he'd open up to them (and get hurt in return usually). YXW didn't show him a lot of care, and had previously shown him a LOT of hatred and tortured him as well, and he still was all ready to let himself die for her just because she appeared to care for him a bit.

He's basically been abused (emotionally and physically) his whole life as TTJ, not showing emotions or allowing himself to feel them is almost expected behaviour.

Then again, I guess we'll learn he was always able to feel things, just wouldn't let them affect him in order to survive.

I LOVE the TSL OST, but haven't watched the drama yet, LOL. The MLs just aren't my type, I guess, so I can't invest in their stories all that much...

I watched AoL for LYX, LOL. Actually, I already mentioned this in the first eps, where he's the tortured TTJ-to-become-Devil-God, his hair is styled the exact same way it was for that amazing scene in AoL when he's provoked into letting all hell break loose - that's my favourite scene in that drama. All (blood-stained) emotionally blank face, hair loose and floating around his face, lost eyes and getting ready to destroy the world.

Yup, LYX is a favourite and one of the best xianxia drama actors :) (He does modern just as well, but he has this grace that costume dramas bring out amazingly well).

He didn't do anything much toward his nanny. Just gave her the rope and watched her hang herself, so to speak. Pretty much the same approach he took with YXW, actually.

For someone so evil-inclined, he's very nonchalant about doing evil stuff himself, preferring instead to let people do their own self-damage things.

This is the second time it's happened, and it's pretty much similar to the first time, but can we please stop throwing around participation trophies for pointing out that no-consent is a big no-no? This is a xianxia story based on a xianxia novel and that's a recipe for over-the-top, dog-blood stuff. It's not supposed to be a lesson for the youthful minds, or something to be admired. The fact itself that a lot of people are uncomfortable with the scenes should be proof aplenty that this is NOT condoned by modern society (and in this case in particular, MDL watchers.)

It's escapism fantasy drama, where women can be (and usually are) just as powerful and evil-minded and unrestrained as men. Nobody's learning how to be a real woman from this.

That being said, I've seen enough "oh but no-consent, so it's eeck!" and "if this were reversed" fights (even on this site) to say that I've said my piece and won't involve myself further.

What, no Ashes of Love? Deng Lun is the ML, but Luo YunXi is the SML, and it's all worth it.

Love is Sweet should count for Bai Lu&LYX, just not in this drama (yet) :D

It was just a shock to me, LOL. I've never seen them be so open before. Also, first YXW drugs, (not)rapes and then force-marries TTJ, now SJ force-marries, then drugs and (not)rapes MY, can my man catch a break already, LOL? What IS this novel? :D

I loved the MY&SJ love progress, I guess it'll be over next episode now... The dream is ongoing, the thread just happened, will the tear come next or do any of the already spilled tears count?

And if they were relevant for MY and SJ, how would they help with TTJ?

The boss fight in ep14 is magnificent, this drama looks like more than half their budget went to special effects.

Also, that goddess/the fake goody-two-shoes sister really needs a beatdown.

PS LYX doing the sword dance moves was so graceful! His dancing formation shows so, so well! BL was trying hard, LOL, but couldn't match him. This man... this man! *heart eyes*

Dual-cultivation, some wedding night (delayed) stuff, LOL, were the censors asleep again? I REALLY need to read this novel now :D

Maybe her Immortal sign reacts to his Devil Bone, since YXW carries LSS's soul. Don't know yet...

She wasn't supposed to be an Immortal in his life as TTJ, he met her as an Immortal only in the future, when he's a Devil God and she's LSS. She was supposed to be evil-but-human Ye XiWu, whom he had to suffer for months in their forced marriage. So maybe that's why he's surprised by her being more than he expects, in this life.

That sign on her forehead is a sign she's Immortal (all Immortals have such signs). The devils have similar signs, but usually in a red / black colour. The signs are Immortal Sect - specific, so you're supposed to know where she cultivated into immortality if you know the sect's sign. (At least according to drama and webnovel rules, LOL).

Oh, that's such a great twist (and devious plot from the Devil God, too!)

So it might be the Devil God who cursed him to go through love, pain, hatred and death in the trailer? The mask was also intriguing, why does a Devil God care who can see his face? I wonder if he'll ever take it off and show he looks like one of the MLs - maybe TTJ.

The trailer seems to imply he has to go through tribulations - for something (either as punishment, or in order to become greater,) Love, hatred, pain and death - he went through a lot of hatred, love is coming, pain is on the way, and it'll probably end up in death.

Unless things change - but there's a phrase in the trailer saying "she" only existed to give him a path through all these things... so I guess she's part of it all from the beginning, but as a tool to salvation for him. And where did the Devil Bone come from? Who cursed him? Is that devil inside him the dragon sleeping with the clam under his claw?

I wonder if they'll stray much from the novel, or I'd start reading it... but the wait is going to be soooo long. May 9th? A whole month to wait for the ending? :(

Here after 12th - I've only now watched the trailer (LOL). I kind of feel I'm right.
