This future's version of GY had an engagement with this future's original version of LSS (who never had to go to the past, because the original past LSS already got rid of the rising of DG in TTJ). Now she's obviously matured a bit, and is in love with TTJ anyway, so GY gets sent off to the margins.
The Bone-Refining Seal seems to have come to LSS or at least is somewhere around the mountains, because it's the place where MY made it, anyway. And the mountains ARE grown in place of the darkest demonic energy, that MY cleansed into the best immortal energy, so the place is the most ominous for both immortals and demons.

What is confusing? They had an understanding before she went in seclusion (in this version of the future) but now she doesn't want to go through with it, since she has changed so much and is in love with TTJ anyway.
And the Heartless Way is because 1. she needs to be stronger to confine the Bone Refining thing and 2. she thinks TTJ lived in the past, had kids and died as a mortal. She doesn't expect to ever meet him again.
I am not ashamed to admit it - I did tear up. He's just so broken and still not giving up. Yes, that's how you convince people you're actually in love, not just obsessed.
