SJ became a demon and immediately killed a whole sect to create a weapon of mass destruction. She was initially a fairy water spirit, how come she demonized so fast?

Fox Demons are usually busy seducing people and eating their livers (yeah this drama's FD is a cute and sexy one but she didn't get those nine tails by being cute and pure).

And those are two demons we basically all like and can understand.

The point is - the are no completely good demons. That's the whole idea with a demon. Even if they (from time to time) do good things... it's not in their actual nature. Unless we squint really really hard (which we do, if we like those demons.)

I myself haven't read the novel. The novel readers in this comment section though have repeatedly explained that the Bo'Re Life (the dream arc) is NOT the past lives of the characters, and frankly, the drama (with no relation to the novel), really does make this point very specifically.

There is one very clear explanation that gods DO NOT have souls that reincarnate, because they are pure divine essence that either gets destroyed (if they're in a battle for example) or returned to nature as spiritual energy.

So the fact we do or do not accept the explanation that this arc is not a reincarnation sequence doesn't have any impact on the actual plot of the drama. You could make your own explanation, though, I mean, who's going to say no? The scriptwriter did their job and I don't think they mind anyone making a variant of the tale...

I mean, they ARE called demons (with everything that implies). And this is xianxia, not politically-corrected real world. If you try to apply modern ethics to any xianxia, there won't be much left to show in it.

I am not in the mood to hold a whole ethics course here, but this is the thing (making an analogy, I'm hoping it makes sense to other people). It's like what the Romans did with their ancient circuses. They pretended the arena was the world, surrounded by Rome, and all the barbarians and wild nature who got in the arena were eventually conquered or controlled by Rome. In fiction, presenting things that might not get a pass in the real world, is dealing with those issues SAFELY. You get to point and say - well, it's not RIGHT that he gets to eat demons who did nothing wrong (or not to him anyway) and we should see him as a hero. NO you shouldn't see him as a hero, but then he's a fictional character you can judge, in a very strict and controlled environment where most of the details are not even presented (it would take too much time). He has no actual impact on real world and real morality issues. The FACT you recognize that there's a moral problem is the whole idea. You HAVE to realise that he's imperfect, and identify his issues, and judge him on THOSE. And then move on with your life with a bit more experience (not gained by direct exposure, but imagined and internalised) that might be of use in the future. It's how empathy works (even for an adversarial figure).

This one is not a particularly good example of moralising fiction, given it's more of a dogblooded romance that's made for a more basic entertainment (which doesn't mean it's badly done or low-morals, it just is what it is.) But fictional worlds are NOT lessons but examples. What you take from them is what YOU make of them and it actually says more about yourself than about the drama.

I said I wouldn't give an applied ethics lesson, sorry if it comes as patronising, it definitely isn't my intention.

FOOD for THOUGHT: For those who think TTJ is not evil, have you ever thought about where he gets his powers from?…
So if he killed the nightmare demon but didn't absorb her power he'd be a good guy in your eyes?

If he killed the Ancient Devil God's minions but didn't absorb their power, he'd still be a good guy?

If he killed any twisted humans - like TTML for example - but had no power to absorb from him, he's a good guy?

What are the standards for a good guy? Does he have to be immaculate in morals to be appreciated?

(Not going to bring in the discussion the Fox Demon either.)

Ming Ye doesn't necessarily look like TTJ. Obviously in the drama they use the same actor, LOL, but in the story it's not needed. LYX is playing MY too because it's easier for the viewers to understand that TTJ is dreaming MY's life, and not Xiao Lin, for example (who was also caught in the dream with them).

TTJ is not MY's reincarnation. He IS the Ancient Devil God's vessel to reincarnate.

Title Reset Spoiler
The story was good but inconsistent with some plot holes. It started right away when they introduced Lu Di, how…
Lu Di got on too late, the only repeaters were those already on the bus when the bomb got on (a station before Lu Di's). So he didn't get to repeat with the others.

Also, the only two charas who seemed to be aware of the loop are those who are asleep when the first loop happens, anyway.

I've no idea. They said something from ep 25, I'm assuming some piece of BGM nobody paid attention to, LOL, except for those complaining.

I don't really care about it, though, it looks like it's more busy-making, the production seems to have replaced it maybe because they don't want to make waves til the drama finishes airing.

IF there's any plagiarising, the guilty party should get what they deserve, but again, it's been too short a time for it to be anything more than an accusation, so far.

I might as well pretend that I wrote the actual novel and the author plagiarised it from me, and it could be repeated until it's disproven, but that would take time. Until it's proven, and a legal decision made, I will take any slander on anything (for any media, not just this drama) with a huge grain of salt.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
It WASN'T a dream as in, it did happen, ten thousand years ago. It IS a dream, as in, the people caught in the…
Ming Ye (dragon) and Sang Jiu (water fairy) are NOT the past lives of Tantai Jin and Li SuSu/YeXiWu.

The dragon TTJ, YXW and the other two characters visited is what remained of Ming Ye (he became God of War after cultivating, but his original form is a Flood Dragon, just as SJ's original form is a Sweetwater Clam). The dragon's remaining qi (energy) is used to trap the 4 people into his (the dragon's) dream of his past life, where he was the God of War and had to fight the Ancient Devil God, and also had a tragic love affair with SJ.

The dream was supposed to provide some help to the characters:

1. teach TTJ what love is and how not to waste his chance at love
2. give LSS a chance to get a tear from TTJ (that she has to use as one of three artifacts in order to create a weapon to get the Devil Bone from TTJ's body) and
3. show us (the viewers) how the Ancient Devil God fell, why he looks like TTJ (actually, more like why TTJ looks like ADG), how the Immortal Realm's Mt. BuZhao came to exist, and how the ultimate weapons are created - the Bone Refining Seal is going to matter a lot in this final arc of the story.

But again, MY and SJ are not the past lives of TTJ and LSS.

I hope this time I explained it more completely.

These are my thoughts and can be quite controversial, so-Quite frankly i dont see Susu's love. I see her dedication…
After coming back to the Immortal Realm, she seems to allow herself to feel love again. I'll wait and see.

There are reincarnations in xianxia too, it's just that this particular case is not one of them.

This is not a takedown of anyone's religion or cultural beliefs, I find it strange to have hit such a sensitive point when talking about a fictional set of characters. I did not intend to amuse myself with other people's questions, but to actually offer some explanation. If it's not enough, or not clear enough, it's definitely my fault for not finding the right words or maybe assuming some common share of knowledge on this topic.

Anyway, I hope you're enjoying the drama. Have a nice day!

TTJ also had a brief stint as the Little Mermaid. 😂😂😂 I still have hair envy from that.
MAN. Merman. Except he can't swim (evidence in the episode, LOL, he just kind of waddles LOL).

I am confused...Is TTJ the Demon God in the end or he just have same face?
The YiYue tribe have a contract (kind of) with the Ancient Devil God. They give him a child as a vessel to reincarnate, and he gives them something in return (they didn't say what, probably the ability to talk to animals that some or most of them seem to have).

TTJ is that child. He was always going to become DG's vessel to reincarnate, so the Devil Bone was in him since birth. That's why they look alike - TTJ got ADG's face since he's going to become DG anyway.

If he actually becomes the reincarnated DG again, or not remains to be seen.

No, gods and spirits have no souls that go through Hell / Nether World or get to reincarnate. Their divine essence is basically either destroyed or absorbed by nature when they're gone.

There is NO actual indication they even looked like that, LOL (it's the usual "they're reincarnated and keep the same appeareances" trope). Of course in the drama, TTJ ended up looking like Ming Ye since he relived his life, and LSS ended up looking like SJ, since she relived her life, but they're not the same persons, and there is no actual reincarnation.

The dragon (whatever was left of him) was what remained of MY and he is now gone forever.

blame the new chinese reforms
The 56 must've been since forever ago, it's been a limit of 50 max for a while now. Some IPs got around using two seasons, but it might've impacted the viewership or something, or maybe the censors didn't like the workarounds and set their foot down, I don't know.

But the content is kind of the same, we're not getting cheated of a lot of time, and TBH I don't want to see irrelevant scenes that have to deal with the Ye family for example, or just longer scenes of blood spitting, LOL. I know for some people watching they might feel it's rushed, but it doesn't feel rushed at all - it has a good pace, good flow, and as long as they don't miss the actual ending part... this drama will end up a good one.

My question is this: is the Ming Ye/sang Jiu timeline really a dream? Because whatever happened later and how…
It WASN'T a dream as in, it did happen, ten thousand years ago.

It IS a dream, as in, the people caught in the dragon's dream had no independence, they just "lived" through the events from thousands of years ago. They couldn't change anything at all and were not aware they weren't those people until they escaped the dream.

The storylines are obviously connected, LOL (Ji Ze the God of Time gave LSS her artifacts and a way to get rid of the Devil Bone, the BuZhao Mountain is still where Ming Ye created it, with its plentiful immortal energy, etc.).

I came here after watching and reading chinese media platforms and reviews regarding the drama and I TELL YOU…
And you felt the need to make an account especially to come and talk about that vitriol they're using there... why?

Everybody's viewing preference is their own. Don't get too upset. If the drama is being watched by millions of viewers (internally and internationally) it doesn't matter what the anti-fans are saying. Just please don't bring that here, it kind of tends to ruin the mood.
