When he's buying her that basket of candy from the refugee girl, he tells YXW - "you also bought a basket of fireworks from that woman, last New Year - when you BOUGHT ME A WINTER COAT". And when he got the first winter coat, the ugly mauve one that the second Ye brother cut up, he was going around touching it all the time.

So yeah, he remembers the small gestures of kindness because there weren't all that many in his life so they're worth way, way more to him than to those who made the gestures themselves.

I've no problem with her (any more). Though I liked her WAY better before the second time she betrays TTJ.

I also have no problem with him being more sane than in the novel - I like evil-ish charas, I don't want to fall for the devil itself. If he were really a devil incarnate, his actual nature would be profoundly evil and no redemption arc would scrub him clean.

But I'm still unhappy with the way this new betrayal came through...

Wuxia = martial arts, maybe some ignored physics, no Immortals or supernatural beings.

Xianxia = martial arts, normal people, cultivators, Immortals, Gods, maybe supernatural beings (starting with dragons and all the way up to phoenixes and other creatures). Also ignores physics.

Which is to say, this is more xianxia :D

Okay so now I've cooled WAY down from right after the episode, LOL, and I'm ready to accept YXW has to get a case of the stupid because otherwise TTJ wouldn't let go of her and (maybe) turn more evil.

On the other hand... Now I WANT him to become evil. Like, murderous maniacally evil. Can we have that please? Even if it costs him his friends and all or most of what he's built around. Let him just... destroy everything. So that everybody's finally perfectly happy he's turned as black as in the novel, LOL.

TTJ is busy being jealous, can't watch his back when there are daggers closer to the skin at home. Also, what would we do without a sudden surprise enemy? :D

Where DID the tiger go though, BTW?! Don't tell me he absorbed its demonic energy! O.o

LOL, no. It looks like it's either a natural formation, or some monumental statue remnants. They include the site of the swing set, where that ruined arch protects the swing from the rain.

People are complaining TTJ was too whitewashed. I guess he needs a reason to "let it go" LOL and become evil.

IMO it's a possibility, otherwise why would they mention they'd have to leave through a southern land? When also TTML and the witch keep saying there's not enough people left around to make enough puppets...

6 days later than their discussion, Pang YiZhi and the rest of the refugees and what's left of the army of the Sheng Kingdom will leave through the southern lands. If he wants to join them and get over the seas, he should be there with them.

Obviously they don't know that Tantai MingLang and his sorceress are making puppets in those places. But anyway, that's where the time constraints came from.

She fed him dessert before, when they were in the market and he was still a hostage prince, before they discovered YQY's romance with the fox...

Well, he'll have a chance to get evil NOW, won't he?

As I understood it from what was already said (in the drama), he'd become the DG anyway, as long as the bone isn't removed. She's supposed to remove the bone in order for him NOT to be reborn as the DG. It's a pre-condition that can't be skipped if she wants to stop the future slaughter.

Yet she keeps missing the point - she wants to make him love, okay - why would she betray that love when she has it? She's falling for him herself but can't see it yet - WHAT is it about XL to make her betray TTJ so easily and endanger her oh-so-important mission?!

I don't mind they made TTJ more endearing, as I don't really like scumbags who get "saved by love" endings while they were scumbags the whole time, no other redemption earned. I think the idea the drama is trying to impart is that he needn't have become the Devil God in the first place, if he didn't have the Devil Bone and wasn't abused, those two causes made him the DG in the end.

I hope they patch YXW's actions in the next eps, somehow - maybe she confesses who she really is to TTJ so that her addiction to saving XL/GongYe is explained... somehow. But if it remains as is, it doesn't make sense. Unless she too got drugged (by stupidity) to do it.

I mean, ten minutes before they were freaking in bed together!! HOW do you go from that to "let's drug him to sleep, he won't mind!"

I watched quite a few dramas that I haven't read the novels they're based on, before (or after) I did. Most of them make sense on their own, no novel-story to add on details needed. This time, the drama DOES make sense in that LSS is not actually in love with TTJ and it's easy to betray him, over and over. Then why should HE give her his trust, any more?!

It definitely looks like SHE's the one main reason he'd go ahead and become the Devil God, as all his other actions are not that evil (in-drama) and would not warrant such careless acts from her.

Is the novel different? I DON'T CARE. The drama makes her look really, really bad at this moment. He's not an angel either (I did notice last ep he was ENJOYING killing XL's men who attacked him) BUT he is honest where it concerns her. I guess that'll be over from now on.

If she's supposed to be a traitor, she would have better been more subtle about it.

He showed her, too, but let's not get that get on the way...

TTJ: ?! Next time take someone more articulate to spy along with you.

He just TOLD her, last ep... And she promised him, no more lies or betrayals.

Nevermind, I am a bit disappointed in YXW/LSS cause I quite liked her and she's acting really stupid. It's fiction anyway, it'll pass.

She needs to act human, then... Humans who are in love don't go around hurting their loved ones.
