It’s because some famous idols or actors have very strong international fan base that will pomp up rating regardless…
What people r enjoying in run on is the unique dialogue and how unpredictable it is. It’s like they make fun in the normal stuff shown in other kdramas and that what’s awesome in it. The fact that it’s the writer first work is a plus. It’s a slice of life with no love triangle, revenge etc.. and might it appeal to everyone for sure. But maybe people but many r liking it and it’s getting more attention every week.
German Netflix doesn't have it aired yet :( Does anyone know why?
It available only on certain regions unfortunately. I don’t understand why really. all other kdramas in the past several years were available to all Netflix subscribers. But I read it’s gonna be available once it done to all Netflix subscribers.
I personally did not see that. I still like the conversations of the drama very much. It’s definitely a conversation…
Record of the youth. People were traumatised by it and they worry this will follow the same path in later episodes lol. But I don’t see it. I think they r different apart from having young people struggling for their dreams.
The rabbit face with robot voice . It is not a hate comment ! It is just what I feel when she pop up
I love her voice. It’s very shooting. I watch her YouTube channel to listen to her amazing voice in addition to see the aesthetics of her cooking and daily life.
I've only ever seen this actress get hate comments yet she is surprisingly really popular. like her youtube channel…
She is very well liked in her country and was in Forbes most influential Koreans twice when she is not even 30. That a huge accomplishment. Also, most of her dramas got high rating in s.Korea. I know from Koreans that she is very well loved in s.Korea. The only people who seem to have a problem with her are some internationals (not all of them as she is my favourite actress). My mentor used to say, voices of haters are far much louder than those who don’t hate. They r so vocal about hate, unlike us normal people who don’t waste energy with hate. I saw she got a lot of hate and bullying 10 years ago when she dated an idol and many international wrote very nasty comments about her but the reality she was far much popular than him in s.Korea and the hate drove them apart. Since then I see people try to attack her personally. And even when I ask which dramas they watched for her, they say none but they repeat what others told them. It’s so disgusting really as it’s like the mentality of school bullies ganging up against someone and the rest join in for no reason. I’m glad that she is very resilient, strong yet very humble. And the hate and bullying did not have impact at her. It drove many Korean celebrities to kill themselves. But people never think when they write hate how it may impact the person they write about even if they r actors.
this drama has great reviews in the comment section and don't get me wrong i love all the characters and the idea…
I think it’s because there is no big conflict or love triangle it may look lik it’s slow. I personally like it very much and just love the dialogue. It’s very mature to me. The way the characters connect and support each other from friendships to relationships. There r those funny childish moments But they just make me smile. I would consider true beauty more of a teenage love story not run on really. As it’s slice of life with not that much conflict and emphasis on the characters, it may look slow :) but I just love it as wanted to end the year and start the new one with something relaxed and full of feelings.
After watching ep 7 and 8, I think I'll wait till the whole series is finished to watch it all. I really hope…
I personally did not see that. I still like the conversations of the drama very much. It’s definitely a conversation driven drama. unlike of ROY, I do t find the dialogue forced and unnatural. It seems quite good so far. I think this is what ROY aspired to be but failed in delivery. Also, the chemistry between the main leads is no joke. But I can see ur worry. We r still halfway through and even the most popular dramas lose a lot in the second half. I just hope this does not happen here and a rookie writer proves himself :)
Honestly the person I'm most worried for at this point is Dan Ah's younger brother.
I felt bad for him since the start. He just wants someone to live him and his sister attitude towards him was sad. She was just putting him down in every possible way.
I don't feel sorry for her (Dan).I empathize but don't sympathize. They all have walls. Mj said the ML invaded…
I agree I think people in general underestimate how good MJ is in comparison to the struggle she faced and how strong she is. I guess people got used to the term strong being used for more mean type of characters.

I also had problems with her character since the first couple of episodes due to the way she treated her brother. I think she has some issues to work on.
I need someone's opinion...which do you think is better the remake or original?
For me the original. I mean those costumes! I just can’t with the silliness of that one. This one is more serious and they chose a real historical persona with a tragic ending (the king) as a ml.
Ambiguous. Most of the times without direction, and I keep questioning why Im siwan's character has no facial…
I personally don’t see it ambiguous at all. I don’t know why but maybe because I have understanding for the characters and connect with some of them. I also love the dialogue and find it spot on for how the characters are trying to support and understand each other. The plot is about those people, their daily struggles, how they strive to do their best regardless of the obstacles and how they r connecting together and develop their love story and relationships. I find it very endearing and lovely really. It’s more of a reflection of how things happen in real life unlike many other dramas that belong to kdrama fantasy world.
