No wonder Prince Jinyu looked soooo familiar! He was the one who played the role of Xiao Chong /Prince Bai in…
Lol I liked the fact that some of the actors in TBOY portrayed their ancestors here. They sort of insinuate how the successors have similarities to their predecessors, e.g. Xiao Chong becoming king so the actor played the father who became king, Xiao Se who was as brilliant and powerful as the country founder so the actor played him here.
For me, it did better than One & Only somehow. One & Only is poignant and very beautiful but Forever & Ever has…
I’ve tried watching this twice and haven’t been able to finish it. I thought the trust and understanding in One and Only was much more beautifully portrayed, even if there was no romance. And I think I was expecting a continuation of their personalities somehow but got completely different characters so it just didn’t feel like their link up to the past was as beautiful as it could’ve been I guess.
I also loved blood of youth, currently rewatching it, I tried dashing youth and it just screams amateur to me which I think has a lot to do with the way the characters look (hair, costume, artistry - such poor choices to me). Maybe I should give it another try.
every character is so damn well written, and its sad that some people can't see it nor understand each of their…
Agree with this so much! It’s one of the few dramas where there isn’t a one for all villain, just each for their own purposes and each have their beauty and flaws. It IS sad that they aren’t appreciated for what they are!
It’s crazy how people are such fans of either TSJ or XL that they trample the other into a worthless character. I actually love the relationship between these two, they respect each other and have faith in each other’s character even though they aren’t friends and both love the same girl.
It’s so funny how so many people hate SRQ and I didn’t feel it throughout the drama. I hated the writers logic in some scenes, made no sense to me.
I also feel either the leads were miscast or the acting required improvement. Or it was the makeup that wasn’t…
Lol actually I’m not biased at all towards ZLH if that’s what you are implying because this is the first time I’m seeing ZLH as the main lead. I didn’t watch either of his recent works as ML even when I had nothing to watch. I’m not a fan of either actors. I’ve seen a couple of ZJMs works and loved her in Reset and Snowstorm even though I didn’t finish the latter but in this she just doesn’t do it for me. And I’m also not comparing the actors or measuring them against each other, just mentioning how they made me feel in this drama. And I would love to know whose/what standards that actors are held to because as far as I know whether their acting is good or not is all based on opinion of critics and drama watchers, and opinions in itself are subjective. It’s not some science experiment where red and yellow makes orange.
I'm sorry I feel like the cast wasn't a good fit for this story at all. Of course the actors are extremely talented…
I also feel either the leads were miscast or the acting required improvement. Or it was the makeup that wasn’t fit, I’m not sure. ZJM was not good in this drama IMO, her constant sighing and half pursing her lips was distracting and I didn’t feel the aura of a 40 year old in her. ZLH wasn’t too bad but his 40 year old makeup was not convincing to me (that mustache 😂).
Is it worth starting now? I have been waiting until several episodes aired so I can have some momentum to the…
I’m not feeling frustrated so far, enjoying the story. Although waiting in anticipation everyday is not ideal but I enjoy the comments and being able to discuss while it airs. Sometimes I comment on dramas that have aired a while ago and do not get the same satisfaction from the comments section so depends on what you prefer 🙂
I see there’s so much hate for SRQ but up until now I don’t get the vibe everyone is getting. Rather than creepy and hateful, so far I’ve just seen his love, restraint and disappointment for the princess. I’m actually hoping he turns out to be good.
