Character wise, CX always felt more human and relatable. It was just a matter of time before he reached his breaking…
I know ppl bash him for his toxic behaviours but you gotta give him brownie points for the patience and restraint - for him to last this long is unbelievable. Loooool and XY’s oblivious to it all when he is literally saying ILY with his every action and expression makes me laugh. CX doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry

Yeah I feel like they are leaving XY’s assassination out, I didn’t see it in the script. This was one of the highlights too! So action packed so I am very bummed about that. I wish for a miracle that the dream sequence is false but I think they planned for a happy ending for everyone, where CX is a “good guy”.

Yeah I’m still very salty about this. I think they didn’t want a morally grey male lead? Censorship? Honestly don’t know. Not consistent considering they built the plot and character preparing for this moment
Lol I see weibo comments comparing the CGI AN’s wedding got vs the lacklustre scene between XY and her mom. I have yet to watch today’s ep but sounds like the Tu Shan brothers’ fight was also a letdown. If it was due to limited budget, they should’ve laid all the scenes out and prioritized the important ones that needed proper CGI and editing to get right. Guess too much time and energy was focused on the unnecessary

I know yall are upset with CX and his selfishness but don’t worry - if they stick to the leaked script then the whole scene with him telling XY that he killed TSJ is a dream/illusion his Grandpa set up to show him what the consequences would have been if CX was the real mastermind. This deviates from the book, where he DID do it.
I will say they could’ve cut down the many scenes where CX expressed his unhappiness with XY choosing TSJ, could’ve used that time to show us all the scenes that should’ve been included in the drama for more clarity - everything seems so choppy.

This was what happened in the novel, but I think the drama will change it - where it is all a dream (grandpa shows CX what would have happened if CX did the deed). I think it was Xinyue who was responsible instead (if they go along with the leaked script)
Finally a scene that actually got my full attention on the screen. YZ and ZWY's acting at the end was amazing.…
Can never go wrong with ZWY and YZ scenes, they are the reason I am continuing this series despite the appalling changes. I hope they can work together again!
Why does everything feel so rushed - they had max 40 eps looooool. So many crucial scenes were omitted and too much time/budget spent on others that weren’t all necessary. My poor characters XY, CX, TSJ and XL all ruined. Not ready for this alleged dream sequence where CX says he killed TSJ.
Anyway thank you to the actors who did their best with the script that was given to them, their amazing acting is what helped me through the many disappointments in S2.

I didn’t read word for word, but I think his grandpa showed him the “consequences” of what would have happened if CX had been the one to make the move. I think XY and TSJ’s assassinations were combined into one (Xinyue was the one who took action trying to kill XY I think).
I was the most upset about this part too, it was the main event I was looking forward to seeing. Definitely takes away the whole theme and title of the story - which was meant for CX as he loses XY forever. So all the events that happen to XY after TSJ’s death (i.e. getting revenge on CX was a dream, and having to be revived by XL etc) was scrapped.
I don’t understand why they made so many changes in the back half of the drama. Someone else alluded to it being…
LOOOOL i am currently listening to the audiobook to cleanse my mind hahaha. I almost forgot all the iconic scenes because of s2 so need to reread the novel. TSJ has become a side character now hahahah, like a little dog who is just there. Yes - No one is safe! My poor CX is gonna have an important plotline and development ripped from him! Ugh!!! And those exciting action scenes (i.e the whirlpool, and Left Ear protecting XY from assassins!) I am with you - mourning since I learned about the changes in the leaked script.
