Just started the drama and still have eps to catch up on but can someone explain a few of things? - Am i missing something or was this a typo regarding the tail XY gave CX. This was from when they were young before she endured yrs of torture, but later on she says she got it from the nine tailed fox who tortured her. The timelines don’t match - XL nearly drowned XY when he asked the girl to help him assassinate CX, but saved her last min. Then, he decides to help transfer the bug from CX to himself - I guess this hinted on his growing love as he didn’t want her involved in the battle with CX, so willingly took the bug instead? Was that the only reason? - I assume XY doesn’t understand the details of the bug? How does it work? If the donor gets hurt or dies, the receiver dies too? But then I read spoilers that XY nearly dies in the ep with the cherry blossom - so shouldn’t XL be near death or die too?

Wonder if they wanted to show the contrast between her and her mother’s stories. Did the author write the prequel? But even tho XL didn’t get to live life with her he definitely left a huge impression on readers/viewers 🥲. The tragic heroes are always remembered. Ugh I like Jing and am happy to see a kind guy get the girl (he isn’t perfect but he is a good person), but I also am so sad for XL! The author did a good job making us feel for all of them
XY said she would definitely marry the guy that would give his all for her and imo XL is actually the most giving…
I agree that XL gave his all EXCEPT the fact he could not do one thing which determined why they couldn’t be together. He had a chance but he will not give up his duty so he cannot accompany XY for life. She wants a lifelong companion who puts her first above all other priorities. Makes it tragic cuhs you will always wonder what it would be like if he did give up his duties - but maybe that would mean he isn’t XL, a general who is meant to die in battle.

I love Jing and XL (always have a bigger soft spot for tragic leads like XL). I do think XY and XL are soulmates who bond over similar experiences. But even if XY were just a simple girl with no royal status, she will never end up with XL so long as he places his duty as priority. Even if they do get together, it wouldn’t last when he dies in battle.

Ysssss. The two guys are my fave. Altho i feel that it makes sense Jing gets the girl (from what I heard from novel readers) and XL my fave cuhs I have soft spots for the sacrificial leads

TSJ/shiqi is like a golden retriever puppy to XY. Prob the most safe hubby material among the guys. XL and XY have fun and fiery tension. I love them both but a soft spot for XL - the novel spoilers on XL already make me have second lead (or should I say third) syndrome

Then how come the girl thinks XL is unsure about her gender? I saw a scene when she was in the water and he looked like he realized she was a girl after taking her blood and she responded that she is a man. Was confused because I thought he had already verified her being a girl from the get go
So apparently S2 is coming out next yr and they’re cutting 14 eps? Is that true? That would really ruin the story, is there even anything left to show?
